I hated my pink tub and tile surround so I did a lot of research and calling around about reglazing. I saw A&B's ad in Craigslist and got a good feeling about the process after talking w/ the owner/operator, George. So, I had my pink monstrocity transformed into beautiful sparkling white. If you had not seen what it looked like before, you wouldn't believe that it wasn't always white and clean.
Can't say enough good things about his work. He was punctual, polite, very detail oriented, took great care to be neat, and really worked very hard. The whole job cost 410.00 and after having dealt w/ too many contractors over the course of various renovations around the house, I was thoroughly impressed w/ his workmanship. He also didn't seem to mind me being nosy and wanting to know every step of the process. He didn't rush through - I think the whole process took about 5-6 hrs. I had no idea how involved the entire reglazing process is but there's a ton of prep and multiple layers of bond and paint. I had another reglazing company tell me they can do it in 3 hours. I don't know how that could possibly be now that I've watched what it takes.
I would hugely recommend getting old or ugly tubs/tile reglazed by A&B instead of replacing. My hubs and I demo'd the tub in the other bathroom and god knows it's been an extremely painful ordeal. I would say, unless you really feel you need to rip out the tub, give reglazing a try. -

I just had my kitchen counters reglazed yesterday. George worked with me creating a custom color that looks great. I'm so happy with the results, I plan to do my 1913 bathroom and tub next. He gave me some good advice about other projects in those same rooms. He really takes his time taping and masking the area before painting and this makes the resulting look clean and professional. Great job!
