In movers  we were looking for three things,
    - efficiency
    - carefulness
    - price (bang for the buck)

Viktoria set up our appointment quickly and sent the email and instructions promptly.

The movers were 2 for $89 an hour + 17.50 flat for driving - and it does not get better than that for a 2b2b move. They used to charge for stairs before apparently , but not anymore (at least if its less than 20 stairs, but I'd re-confirm if doing this again). They used shrink wrap on most things and had plenty of closet boxes.

Overall we finished in 4 hours (with 20 min drive) and were very happy in all the three categories.

    Good Job Aaron's! Definitely recommend.

This review is long overdue, I used Aaron's moving in July 2011 for a move from a 1 br apartment.  When I called them up, Victoria was pretty helpful in setting up the appointment.  The charge was $89 per hour for 2 pple, 3 hr min and double driving time.  Payment is cash, card (with 3% surcharge) or check.

On the day of the move 2 guys (both hispanic) arrived promptly and took an inventory of stuff to move.  I had already packed everything up, so it was easy for them to move.  The two movers worked at a leisurely pace, but were very courteous and careful in handling my boxes.  They didn't charge me extra for stairs (3 rd floor with elevator) or additional packing supplies (tape etc).  The move was completed in under 3 hours and everything reached safely.

I was very happy with the movers and would recommend to others.

Vikotoria in the office was fast and efficent about helping me schedule the movie. They showed up 15 minites before they were scheudled to be there and last way less then their four hour minimum. I was even so empressed that they were working on a Sunday. They were the fastest movers that I had seen . They had me moved out of one apartment and to another in the same complex within a couple hours. There price was very resposive.

The two guys who moved us could not of been nicer. I would use them again. Thanks Aaron;s

I've hired about 5 movers over our family's history of moving.

What I've found is that you either get movers who are helpful, thoughtful and expensive (often slower) or you get movers who are cheap and fast, but create more boxes and hard to communicate with (which creates difficulties when you unpack).

Aaron's was the first service that broke that rule of experience.  They managed to pack and move us faster than we'd ever have done before while at the same time being very communicative (we labeled and verified, they packed).

They also helped unload my parent's moving containers at the destination.  All in all, about 5 bdrm worth of stuff for the same price that we paid elsewhere for 3bdrm before.

I was happy to tip them a bit more than usual after the job.

I would recommend that you choose another mover besides Aarons.

They moved me from Santa Clara to San Jose in January 2009.  I'm writing this review now because it's time to move again, and was wondering if I should use them again.

The guys were polite enough, and worked at a moderate pace.  It ended up costing about $500-$550 for the move.  The only broke two things (a lamp and a mirror).

At the end of the move, one of the guys came back up to my apartment and asked for a tip.  I was unaware that I was expected to tip (I move so infrequently that it's not something I necessarily thought of/was familiar with), so I did not have any cash on me.  When I told him this, he asked if I had a checkbook handy, as they would take a check.

While that's very considerate of them to accept checks in addition to cash, I had to decline at that point.

I don't think I'll be hiring them again.

Absolutely fantastic service. I ended up going with Aarons Moving Peninsula after calling several moving companies in the area for a quote. Here're the quotes I got:

    1. Mont/Rose Moving Systems Inc. (Mayflower) - 2 man crew at $92.50/hr with a 4 hour minimum, total minimum charge $407 (minimum too long).

    2. Pacific Storage Company (Bekins) - 2 man crew at $104/hr with a 4 hour minimum Mon-Fri, and a 6 hour minimum Sat-Sun. (Yikes, WAY too long).

    3. Unisource Relocation (Moving Pros) - 2 man crew at $85/hr with a 4 hour minimum (Really, really nice people and the pricing among the best even with a 4 hour minimum).

    4. All Reason Moving & Storage - 3 man crew at $150/hr with a 2 hour minimum, or a 2 man crew at $100/hr with a 3 hour minimum, $300 total minimum charge.

    5. Aarons Moving Peninsula - 2 man crew at $90/hr with a 3 hour minimum Mon-Fri, or $100/hr Sat-Sun.

    6. Moovers Inc. - 2 man crew at $82/hr with a 3 hour minimum (These are nice guys).

Aarons Moving Peninsula won out because they could have a 2 man crew come out that weekend at such short notice and at a good price. Viktoria was also extremely nice on the phone and sent emails promptly. Since I had less than 1000 lbs to move, I wanted to find a moving company that had a short minimum of hours, but had a good reputation and was fairly priced.

I had used Moovers Inc. before and really liked them, but they had no availability on short notice.

Constantine and the other mover (never got his name) arrived early at 9 am. I had everything packed and ready to go except hanging clothes which they put swiftly into box wardrobes (you get 4 for use at no charge). They had all my stuff in the moving van in less than 40 minutes WITHOUT banging my stuff around!

They followed me to the new place and in just 30 minutes, had everything unloaded and upstairs!! I couldn't believe how fast they were, yet careful with my items and mindful of asking me where I wanted things put.

I didn't watch them like a hawk but worked around them, like sweeping the kitchen while they were going in and out of my bedroom. Truly, they needed no supervision. They got right down to work and did an excellent job. The move took a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes, with double drive time between the locations. I paid the 3 hour minimum charge without a quam.

I would hire these guys again in an instant.

    Pros:
    On time
    No added fees
    Nothing broke

    Cons:
Mentioned they accepted "tips", before starting the job!
    Too many breaks!
    Not careful enough with items
    Come across as lazy
Don't care where things go... take the easy way out
Not sure the one guy understood English very well
Didn't take shoes off, or protect carpet with anything
Streak of black dirt at the top of our stairs that wasn't there before (on our BEIGE, brand new carpet)

I chose these guys based on the Yelp reviews.

Anyway, 2 young guys from Aarons Moving showed up on time and based on a brief meeting on what to take and what to leave got started. No huge problems, but they could have been done sooner, if they weren't so slow, and didn't stop so much.

Oh, oh, oh.. can't forget this part!  They took a lunch break 2 hrs after arriving.  Then, my husband and I were going to go and grab something to eat (and bring it back) -- so we (the polite people that we are ;) asked if they wanted anything... well, of course!  So, we bring back their grub, and they immediately take ANOTHER lunch break.  My husband and I gobbled up our meal, and cont'd back to work.  I looked out the window about 10-15 min's after we had been back to work... and the movers were STILL sitting, eating, chatting, smoking!!!

I took a TOTAL of 10 min's to quickly eat.  And, NO other break within the 6 hrs.  And, they probably took, at least 4-5 breaks... usually 10-15 mins long.  Besides the one extra long break of about 30 min's!

We had already moved most of our things (heavier furniture) and most of our household items in a previous move - and I think it took them just as long, if not longer!  The previous movers really stayed on task, until the job was finished.  (I'll review them yet too :)

The lady who booked our move was really nice, and she confirmed the move and time of arrival the day before.  I was told it was $45 per guy, with a minimum of 4 HRS.  And, 5% discount for cash payment.

If you don't have very much to move... they might be okay for you.  If you have a larger household to move... I would personally go for a larger reputable company.  (And, hopefully "I" won't be needing to move anytime soon! (ever!) again!! ;)

& Yes, I did TIP them anyway at the end.  What can I say, I'm a softy! ;)  (My husband says I'm weak ;)

We've never used movers before because usually our friends will come and help but I think our friends are tired of helping us move and getting paid just in food.  My hubby, Ryan, called a few places and this one seemed to have the best rates, no hidden fees, and were on the BBB.  We were moving from a 1 bedroom to another 1 bedroom in the Albany/Berkeley area so we didn't have a lot of stuff.

Let me start off with the pros...They were efficient and seemed to have a plan of packing the truck so our belongings wouldn't get damaged and they only took 1 break.

Now for the cons...We had 2 movers and they were late!!!  They were supposed to arrive at our apt. between 9 and 9:30 a.m.  They arrived at 9:50.  They were slow in moving our things.  We had everything packed and ready to go.  We were also not told that they would charge for the drive back to the South Bay.  When they were finished, we gave them both a tip and one of the guys had the nerve to negotiate his tip.  Now, keep in mind that the rates are $100/hr plus they tacked on gas fees, stair fees, and their drive back. So all in all, we paid a little over $700.  I just wasn't impressed at all with their  service.

I definitely would not use them again for their moving services.  I'm mixed about whether I would recommend anyone else to use them since we had a very mixed experience.

Absolute waste of time. Took Aaron's after Yelp reviews. Was moving a 4 bedroom house within the Bay Area and was told I needed a
estimator to ...well...  give me an estimate.

Made an appointment to see the estimator at 3:00pm on Monday.
I showed up at the house at 2:30pm in case he was early.
    He wasn't.

Estimator called me at 3:57pm and told me he couldnt make but
    could come later that night.

    No thanks.

I mentioned Yelp and the girl said she gets a lot of referrals from here.
I moved from a Sunnyvale second floor condo to Mountain View and it went very smoothly.
I had a very large desk that was shoehorned into my condo and mainly just wanted them to move that which they did without a scratch. I ended up selling it later but at least it got moved.
    Some things i found out:
    They charge for stairs.
If they use plastic wrap they charge you. He used some but didn't charge me for using an old roll.
There was also supposed to be a travel charge but since i moved close to their office, no charge.
Great movers I would use again. Courteous and quick and strong.

Okay so, I graduated from IKEA furniture and bought heavy, formal, Ethan-Allen/Scandinavian Designs adult-type of furniture.  There was no way in hell I was going to subject this awesome furniture to my idiotic self by way of a Budget-Rent-A-Truck (I'm soooo anti U-Haul!).  So, I researched trusty Yelp to look for a moving company.

I called Aaron's Moving Company and spoke to Viktoria.  She was very pleasant and explained their procedures, availability and charges.  It was going to be three-guys at $50 per guy/hour with a 4-hour minimum.  It would've been $45 per guy/hour if I moved during the week.  Prior to ending the call, she said she would e-mail me an estimate of charges and other information.

I then picked up the phone and called Moovers, Inc. who was also a highly recommended mover.  Spoke to a guy who was cool but a little short with me.  Their rates were a little higher than what Viktoria had quoted me so, it was a no brainer.  I forgot to mention, while I was on the phone with Moovers, Inc. the e-mail from Viktoria popped up!

The day of the move, they arrive on time.  Mind you, their office is located about 60 miles from the house I was moving from yet, they made it right at 10:00am on the dot!  The head guy (I forgot his name!) was really nice and introduced me to his two associates.  He explained all the documentation and as soon as I put pen to the paper, his two associates started hauling ass, literally!

They brought me wardrobe boxes to move my clothes in, which was extremely helpful.  Those guys moved stuff out of my house so quick, you would've thought it was a race!  Not only were the fast but they were really careful too.  There wasn't one scratch on the wall or anything.  They completely emptied out my 3-bedroom house in 2-hours.  The head guy said they'd stop for lunch on the way to my new house (about an hour's drive) which I was cool with, they worked damn hard and I didn't have any food to offer them anyhow!  We agreed they'd be there by 2pm.

Fast forward to 2pm.  On-time, again!  They unloaded and put everything into place in 2-hours!  I was expecting that something would've broke or got scratched, but nothing!  They even hooked up my appliances for me, which I thought was cool of them to do.

Then, it came down to the bill.  Based on my understanding of the estimation, I was planning to shell out $1,500.00 but, I calculated wrong.  The head guy went through the charges with me, double and triple checking the calculations and it only came out to just a little over $860.00.  I was so stoked, not to mention impressed with their work.  I payed with the credit card I had on file, which they charge a $7.50 admin fee, which is okay.  But I had cash on had to make sure to tip them and since the bill came out to just about half of my estimation, I gave them extra tip money.

I don't intend to move for at least a LONG time but when that time comes, I'll know who I'm calling!  Aaron's Moving Company has made me LOVE the concept of moving!!! :D

I have too much stuff. Ask anyone who knows me, and anyone who's ever helped me move, they'll agree. And the friends I'd trust to help me move, well, I want to keep them as friends. Sleeper sofas and huge IKEA entertainment centers don't lend themselves well to such maintined friendship.

So on the advice of a former manager, I went with Aaron's when I moved my one-bedroom life from far-south Mountain View to north central Mountain View. They handled a queen size bed and a metric buttload of boxes plus computer and A/V gear efficiently and affordably. Took less than the 3 hour minimum including disassembling and reassembling my IKEA bed frame.

I had to move across my complex so my old unit could be renovated. Aaron's came out on short notice (maybe two days) and moved me across, up to a semi-upstairs apartment... this time with the aforementioned sleeper sofa and more stuff.

And two months ago I moved to Sunnyvale, with all the above stuff, plus more stuff, plus one of those 6' square IKEA entertainment centers. I was sure that the IKEA unit would end up in my parking space waiting for freecyclers, as the steps to my new 3rd floor home weren't conducive to huge furniture. But the guys from Aaron's got that and hundreds of boxes and crates, plus the bed and sleeper sofa and table and bookcases, in place with no damage.

The first two times I had 2 movers, the third time they recommended three (since I was moving from 1 1/2th floor to 3rd floor). Everything was clear, rates to schedules to insurance, the movers were courteous and strong, Viktoria in the office is always courteous and friendly and pretty quick to respond even to email inquiries.

If you want someone who will rush through the move and throw your stuff around, go somewhere else. If you want a team you can trust your valuables to, call Aaron's Moving. They are worth the very reasonable rates. Next time I move, they're the ones I'm calling (and I'm apologizing at least a year in advance for the IKEA entertainment center).

No big issues, but they could have been done sooner then they were. Being an ex-marine I do work 1st and and then take time off. They charge a 2 hour min. and it took them about 6 hrs for 18 boxes and about 15 pieces of furniture. The new place had steps and they dropped/banged some items on these stairs.

I would use again unless I had good friends I could coax into helping me next time.

When my piano needed to be moved from my house to storage, I left it up to my partner to take care of it.  She hired some yahoos who were cheap and SURPRISE! They sucked.  They actually dropped the piano about a foot and I'm sure one of them has a permanent back injury now, too.

So when it came time to get the piano back in the house, I took matters into my own hands and went to--- where else?--- yelp, of course, and put calls in to 2 places reviewers here liked.  Aaron's called me back and the other place didn't, so I went with Aaron's.  They cost about $80 more than the aforementioned yahoos, and were worth every penny.

Yesterday they  moved the piano from my storage unit back to my newly renovated home.  They were on time, courteous, efficient, careful, and went above and beyond.  I am really thrilled with their service.  And I feel that their pricing may be a bit on the high side, but you get what you pay for, my friends, and there are some things just NOT worth skimping for---- and for movers, if you go with the low bid, you will most likely regret it.  Seriously.  Been there, done that.  Uggh.

I will use them again and will recommend them highly to you and everyone who asks.  Raving about a moving company is something I never thought I'd do, but here I am, raving my little heart out.  Thank you, Aaron's Moving!  You rule.

Really nice guys- everything went smoothly and about 2 hours and $160 less than the price they had quoted me- despite having a difficult stairway from a second floor apt in San Bruno-- they even set my bed up for me when we got to Mountain View! They were professional, quick, polite and friendly-- I can't say enough. It was the first time I have moved that a U-Haul has not been involved- and I will call them every time (guess I'd better stay in the Bay Area a while.....)

Aaron's was able to arrange a move for me on short notice and asked for less of a minimum time commitment than did other companies.   The movers were professional, fast and given that this was an emotional ordeal for me, very kind as well.

My only quibble with the service was in not receiving the promised phone call 30 minutes prior to the movers showing up.

Update:  August 2008   I used Aaron's again for a move to the other side of the Bay and was again pleased with the professionalism and service.   The movers were so polite!

They made for an easy and smooth move. Arrived on time, got right down to business and completed the move within 3 hours without hiccups.

Aside from a couple of small hardly-any-value items which ended up a bit banged, everything else was moved from one place to the other without a scratch.

Great service, priced more than reasonably. Interestingly enough none of the reps I talked to knew about Yelp, despite they have great reviews here, and I found out and decided to go for them through Yelp.

The best professional moving experience I have ever had!!! I moved from the border of Santa Clara and Sunnyvale to the border of Sunnyvale and Mountain View.  The movers, Alex and Constantine, rocked!  They took excellent care of my furniture.  They were polite, professional, fast yet careful and super-efficient.

I was really nervous at first because I have a table that I love but is made of super soft wood.  They wrapped it up and handled it like a baby.  I inspected it thoroughly at the new place and not a scratch or nick anywhere.  I would use this company again in a heart beat.

Ever move out of a place with a lot of friends who pledged their assistance and then suddenly that number dwindles to two?  And this is a move that really needed a lot of extra hands and a big truck.  This was the situation that me and my wife found ourselves in over Thanksgiving weekend, when we had to move from a 2-bedroom apartment into a house.

Aaron's Moving was recommended to us by the many yelp reviews found here, so I wanted to add my own.  Because of our limited assistance and lack of proper transport, we contacted Aaron's and spoke to Viktoria (who was exceptionally helpful and very friendly over the phone).  She set us up with an appointment the day after Thanksgiving, for a 2-man crew  ($50 an hour each, plus $10 for gas and a 4-hour minimum = $410).

Konstantin and his associate showed up promptly at the designated time.  They did a brief walk-through to determine how to proceed, and once they determined which rooms should go first, they were very efficient.  They moved out all the big items, including a very unwieldy and huge L-shaped desk of mine, in under two hours.  Having had negative experiences with other moving companies, we were very impressed with Aaron's Moving.  They worked hard, and they did take a lunch break while they drove our stuff from the old place to the new (and so did I), and they met me at our new house on-time.

I highly recommend Aaron's to my friends, and to my fellow yelp'ers.  Reasonable rates, hard-working and caring movers, all-around pleasant experience to deal with and I would wholeheartedly use them again should I need to move to another place.

These guys are fantastic.  If you are moving from Mountain View to the City (i.e. San Fran) use these guys.

Vlad & Michael were both very professional and whilst being fast workers they took extreme care with moving all our things.

Viktoria was a great liaison and worked with us to ensure everything was organized ahead of time for the move.

This has been the best moving experience that I ever had in my life.  Constatine and his fellow russian co-worked (Gar)  worked very hard.  Nothing was broken and I repeat (NOTHING) I....I  have alot of high end toys, electronics, Plasms TV"s, Leather couches, Temperputic bed ,etc.. They where courteous, efficient and placed every thing where I wanted it to be put.  I highly recommed them for your next move, I know I will
    Good job guys A++
I dug deep into my wallet and tipped the well, sure nmade my day pleaseant....

Overall I had a positive experience. The movers were diligent and they moved my one bdr within three hours, which is their minimum time. There was very little, if any, damage, to the old/new house or my stuff.

The younger (and I assume, inexperienced guy) started  to pick up my cream colored fabric chair with his dirty hands and take it out to the truck without wrapping it. I asked him to stop and asked if he wasn't going to wrap it and he kind of reluctantly agreed to wrap it and a bunch of other stuff I care about (turns out you pay for the wrapping afterwards which they don't tell you about when you organize the move). it was a little weird that they don't naturally wrap but i guess if you don't buy the insurance up front they treat your stuff a little more casually. There is a $12 fee to have your mattress and box spring wrapped in plastic (ugh, the environmentalist in me hates the wastefulness of moving), which they also don't tell you ahead of time, even though it's optional.

Viktoria the office manager is very efficient and dealt with me while I changed my move three times without ruffling a feather. she immediately got a new quote out to me.

I would use these guys even if I had really fancy, high end stuff, would just make sure to get everything wrapped and will buy the insurance next time, it's probably safer.

I had these guys move me locally. 3BR house to a 3BR house. FULL PACK & MOVE. Total Move Time= approx 10 hours (standard for us).
    For full pack and move.
They drove down 1 hour to do this move. (Included in price. )
    They were good.
I have experience moving, about once a year for 35 years...(no Joke)
Last 7 times are FULL PACK and move.
Why they are the people to move with:
THEIR PRICE CAN NOT BE BEAT FOR THE QUALITY OF SERVICE YOU GET.
( ANY WHERE IN THE BAY AREA. TRY IT I DARE YOU : )

They are a family run business. They do not have flashy folders and it is not like the van lines with the capacity calculator, yada yada. This may put some of you off, don't let it.

The owner/manager? comes out with a note book walks around writes stuff down and emails you an estimate. In this world of fast pace tech, these guys may seem a bit old school. They are. The guy I am sure would give you a price and a hand shake and that would be all you need.

Ah, but our world no longer works this way. Too bad. I enjoyed working with these guys. I have worked with the big wigs and mid sized companies as well as your 2 guys and a van. BY FAR BEST SERVICE ALL AROUND.

I can honestly say in the 35 moves I have experience, these guys are the best experience i have had. If you read my reviews you'll see i do not always review kindly. Like in any move,  here it is damage report.:

    1. One small ikea  pre-fabed night stand the corners were bent. still functional, barely noticeable.
    2. My leather chair had a small depression on the leather which went away after 1 day.
    3. Some boxes were put in the wrong rooms.
Almost all unpacked ...that's my report.

The real test of a company is what happens when things go wrong.  Here's what happened with Aaron's this weekend:

We were supposed to move Saturday with a big truck, enough for a 3 bedroom.  That truck broke down on 101 before it got to our house, and Alex called me promptly to explain the problem and offer two solutions: reschedule for Sunday, or send a smaller truck Saturday then finish the job Sunday at no extra cost.  We chose option 2, and Alex was really professional about the whole thing.

Saturday went fine: they sent two people with the smaller truck, were very efficient, and they did a good job. We confused the team by having two stops and a few items ended up at the wrong house, but that was our fault.

Sunday they sent three people with the now-repaired big truck, even though we only had half as much stuff left to move.  Hmm, that's an extra $50 an hour, right, even though our house is mostly empty?  Yep, turns out, they charged us the full $150/hour for their time, and in the end, even though they moved pretty fast, it came to over $1300! Thank goodness we were paying cash - but the cash discount amount changed every time it was brought up.  5% at first, 7% when I called back to book, 6% on Sunday morning, 5% Sunday afternoon, and then finally 6% when I said so.

This move would probably have been completely smooth and half the price if we had chosen option 1, and waited a day to do it all at once.  But I also strongly feel that we were overcharged when the crew did not honor Alex's promise to come twice at no extra cost.

DO NOT hire these guys unless you want to 1) damage all your furniture and 2) have slow/weak workers take forever to move and 3) have people who can't speak/understand English.

These guys showed up on time and seemed friendly/courteous. Then, everything went down hill. 3 dudes showed up - they were all of very small build. One guy was over 60 years old. I don't have anything against older people, but this guy was obviously past his prime and having a hard time carrying the loads. The other 2 younger dudes (one in his 20s, the other in his 30s) were not much better as they lacked the strength to carry the heavy loads. As a result, the move took forever (I have a 2BR and it took 8.5 hours to complete)! Plus, when they were moving heavy items around, they lacked control and were banging up the furniture against the door frames.

To make things worse, these guys hardly spoke any English and could not follow instructions. I asked them to shrink wrap the mattresses and the use cloth around the furniture - they didn't do any of it. I mean, come on, this is common sense even if you're not asked to. They put items in wrong bedrooms, and communication was a constant nightmare.

Anyway, the most important part is the damage they caused on my furniture. They did not properly protect the furniture with cloth (despite my requests) and I have seen them drag some of the furniture on the asphalt pavement - when I pointed this out, the guy looked at the scratch marks and says "oh, this looks fine, nothing wrong" or "that was there before." At the end of the move, I pointed out multiple damages on my furniture  and these guys kept saying "this is impossible, because we always wrap your furniture before we move them and we never cause any damages." Well, I saw them NOT wrap the furniture and bang it around - and they kept denying the truth.

I have used All Reason Moving last time - they were professional, courteous, communicated well, and the movers were well qualified for their jobs. These guys are clearly not and you should STAY AWAY from them at all costs.

I used Aaron's moving for my last move several years ago. They did everything you'd want from a mover -
    - they quoted a fair, competitive price
    -they showed up on time
-they were careful with my stuff in packing, unpacking and didn't break a thing
-they were smart! They were able to unload boxes based on what was written on them
-they worked efficiently, didn't damage my walls dragging stuff out.
    -they were very nice people.

What more could you want in a mover? I would definitely use them again and will do so whenever I move.

These guys are amazing! I highly recommend them. They arrived on time and ready to work. I've never seen movers be so careful with belongings. They only took one smoke break and had our one bedroom moved from Burlingame to Palo alto within 3 hours. I don't understand the reviews saying they were moody or that they took a lot of breaks. We offered them drinks and they were welcomed but when we offered lunch they politely declined and kept working away. I've already recommended them to a coworker and will definitely use them again.

Given the reviews I thought they would be awesome.  Three Russian guys, started out friendly but became more typically russian as the day wore on, in other words, moody and dark.  They did a good job though it took a long time.  Some of that was the slow elevator on the destination side.  My previous move cost a little over $1000, this was $1600 and there was less stuff.  I knew it was going to be more per hour but I thought since I was moving from a 2 bedroom to a 2 bedroom it would be faster.  They seem to be careful movers but take their time.

I'll never move myself again!  Overall, they were really good and took extra care not to damage my things or my parents house when I moved out.  They used blankets on the floor and all the pathways, because my parents are super anal and do not allow people to walk on the carpet with their shoes on - typical Asians!  They were really accomodating and went out of their way to do that as it was a lot of work to lay the blankets down everywhere they walked.  They also did a great job of moving my big screen tv, not a nick or scratch on it.

As far as cons, they kind of don't like you watching over them too much, but there was no way I wasn't going to.  The one guy kept saying "don't worry don't worry I got it I got it" in a kind of a rude, rather typical Russian way.  Also, my dad, I don't know what the heck he was thinking, offered them a beer and one of the guys accepted.  I was furious at my dad, but it was likewise unprofessional of the guy to accept.  It's not good to have your movers drinking and moving my shit on the job!  Also, I did not like how they charge you for travel time back to the office.  You have to factor that into the total time, but not for them to travel to your place, which doesn't really make sense to me.  I did notice when they nicked the corner of my dresser foot, but it was a  small chip and in an area that wasn't very noticeable.  I decided I wasn't going to make a big deal about it, because what could they do anyway?  I was also running out of time due to the stairs and having them lay down blankets on the carpet, so they let us move stuff ourselves near the end so I wouldn't go over time.  They were really busting their butt to move all my shit and my huge screen tv that I'm sure is a couple hundred pounds!

Overall, I thought they were very good and I would definitely use them again.  For a 1 bedroom and big screen tv, it cost me about $400 including tip.  Luckily they didn't charge me for stairs, I forgot about that as there were a short flight of stairs to get into the condo main floor.

With so many moving companies in the bay area, I would NEVER use these guys again. Here are the reasons why:

THEY DAMAGED OUR FURNITURE. While I likely expect there to be some small dings, they actually damaged my standing chest, stereo cabinet, futon bedframe, and mattress.

    THEY ARE DECEPTIVE.
    - When we questioned the movers about their taking a break, they gave us handbook telling us that we were supposed to pay for their cigarette break. The estimator NEVER gave us their handbook, no less mentioned it.
    - We called the manager/estimator about the damage before settling the bill. He said we needed to pay the bill before the damage could be
addressed by their insurance. IT WAS A LIE. They wanted to get paid and NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR DAMAGE.

    THEY DON'T KEEP THEIR COMMITMENTS.
    - The estimator said they would wrap our white sofa before moving it. The movers DIDN'T.
    - The estimator said he would come to look at the damaged furniture and address our complaint within 3 days. We DIDN'T hear from him and needed to call him again. He said he was too busy and couldn't come. The estimator has yet to call us to schedule a time.

I do NOT recommend these guys and would NEVER use them again!

I just can't say enough about Aaron's Moving! They showed up on time; were polite and professional; speedy, and super-hard working! In nearly six hours, they only took one five-minute break! They handled everything expertly and carefully, nothing was damaged or broken.  They also put everything exactly where I wanted it.  I hope I never have to move again, but if I do, I will definitely use Aaron's! Thank you Konstantin, Zaur and Viktoria!! You guys ROCK! :-)

We used Aaron's to both pack and move our 4 bedroom house to a new 4 bedroom house in San Jose.
Andrei was the team leader - a really nice and pleasant guy who even asked for permission to take breaks and led the team to do a really great job.

We were very pleased and would definitely recommend Aaron's moving.

I decided on Aaron Moving after seeing good review on Yelp. I left message for several movers and they were the first one to respond (on holiday). The move is from our storage into 2nd floor apartment. They arrived on-time and were very polite and relaxed :) I could see why some reviews complained that they were slow. They were a bit slow compared to other movers we used in the past. However, one thing I did notice is they were 'very' careful with handling our stuffs. That was really a plus because sometimes movers just dropped thing on the floor even when the box has 'fragile' or 'handle with care'. These guys were extremely careful, so to me, this is a tradeoff for being slow. At least, I was confident things wouldn't break and no damage to the property.

They finished the work in about 6 hours which is exactly what the estimate came in. In fact, when I got the estimate I think it was a little overestimate, but now I know why. They know what they were doing I guess.

For the most part, I had quite a good experience with them. So, if you want movers who are polite, not intimidating, and were careful with your stuffs (of course with the trade off of being a little slower), I would definitely recommend them. I will consider them for my next move. Great job Aaron.
