I forgot to mention, if you're planning a New Year's celebration, don't do it a Aaron's. Last year, my friends and I thought it would be a great idea to hold the NY's Eve festivities at Aaron's because of their incredible view of Ala Moana and Waikiki so we could watch the fireworks. WRONG. What none of us took into account was the fact you couldn't hear anything because the restaurant was enclosed and soundproofed. Hey, hearing the boom of the exploding fireworks is half the fun! Needless to say, our spirits fell a little flat along with our champagne.

Another high profile restaurant stuck in a time warp when it last saw it's heyday in the 80's. The… Read more »
I was younger then, but I had my best luck when Aaron's was called Nicholas Nickolas.
My favorite night was when I met Dawn formerly of Femme-Nu and Rock-za at Nicholas Nickolas and we danced the night away.

The only reason my friends and I would come to Aaron's is to get the cherries or banana flambe. It's one of the only places on the island that serves it. And yes, we mainly liked it cause something was on fire. Ok, that's the pyro in me. Deal with it. Fire,Fire, Fire!
Food exceptional! we had escargot Rockefeller style. SOOOOO GOOD!With A maui wowwie salad. Pretty okay for a sad.I had the opakapaka fish prepared Chicago style. My husbans had a new York steak. Each had a cocktail. And for dessert we had banana fosters. Service was top rated. Atmosphere......SUCK! Benji living on m a prayer, and FUNKY town during a fine dining meal! Come on now!!!

Fun, fun place to hang out with friends for drinks and the dance floor! We all went here to celebrate a friend's birthday. Great place!
in this review, i'm referring to aaron's at night when it is a lounge/club.
we came here to celebrate muggy's birthday. yay, muggy! (don't be fooled by the name, she's completely HOT.) we had a vip table in the back that was aight. it didn't feel very vip-ish considering that it was just a corner of the club with big leather couches that we dominated. the view from this place is incredible and a trip after 7 tequila shots. the drinks were teeny tiny, i could literally finish a drink in one sip. the music was pretty good, nice hip-hop mix. of course the only girls dancing were the two skank-monster attention whores trying to attract attention by rubbing up on each other. yeah. we moved onto another spot after one hour. we had enough of that.

The view of the city was great. The waiters wore black, lending a professional ambiance, I suppose. However, I actually like the wait staff to be warm and friendly, too. I know, I'm weird. I had some kind of chicken. It was okay, but nothing to wax poetic on. One of our party ordered the Maui Wowie salad, which looked intriguing; my Caesar salad lacked inspiration. The coffee at the end of the meal didn't have much flavor. It was a decent meal, but at those prices, it should be a little more exciting, I think. It's a restaurant in search of an identity. What do I mean, pray tell? When the waiters wear black and walk and talk as if their cheeks are pinching quarters, then everything should follow that theme. I would expect recorded classical music in the background, or a live string quartet, or, perhaps a solo pianist playing classical music or soft jazz. Instead, they were playing a strange amalgamation of 70's and 80's top 40 hits. Sorry, it just didn't go together, and it certainly took away from the elegant view.

Let me start by saying that the service here is GREAT. All of people we talked to were really friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.
Also, the view is pretty nice. It's not an ocean view, but anyone wanting a city view is going to get a nice treat.
So, altogether, very romantic.
And it's my first meal in Hawaii so I order fish. Lots of it. None of it was that great, sadly.
