The custom framing job itself was done cleanly and professionally. I took a quick glance when I picked up the print, assuming that it was fine, and then took it home. Upon placing it in the perfect spot on the wall of the living room and stepping back to take a gander, I immediately noticed that the inner matting of the double mat was offset to the right. I really don't understand how the framer could have missed this with a simple visual inspection.
So I took it back to AB. They treated me courteously as they took a look at it to see what my issue was with the framed print even though I was returning to tell them that their framer had made a mistake. In a few days, I had the print back and the matting problem was fixed. The outer dust jacket and glass looked just as clean and perfect as it did the first time I picked up the framed print.
This was a mistake, but AB handled it professionally and most expeditiously. I cannot put a finger on what the cause of this mistake was and can only surmise that perhaps their framer is a bit overworked, since it took a couple of weeks to get the initial framing job finished. Mistakes happen in all retail operations, but it is how the employees handle the situation that makes all the difference. I credit this location with their service and professionalism and will likely return in the future to have prints custom framed.1 Previous Review: Show all »

If I could give them zero stars I would - not a selection on yelp
It has been over 3 weeks since turning in a poster to be mounted. I was promised it would take a week and that they would call me when it was ready. We called the day after the promised day and it had not been done. The reason/excuse was that they didn't have foamcore large enough but they assured me that they would get it on the nest truck.
That was another week and we were again promised a call - they failed again
THey did not provide status and it still wasn't mounted but the San Ramon store had the core and they offered to take it there if we could pick it up - FINE - we will try that
It was supposed to be ready yesterday from San Ramon store. We called this morning and surprise surprise they again had not followed through on their promise and again we had to call them. Profuse apologies from them and yet another promise that it would be done and (you guessed it a call) by this afternoon.
I just got off the phone and it isn't done and won't be until tomorrow morning.
bottom line -- we won't go there again - a company that doesn't live up to its word is not worth doing business with -

I needed to get a huge picture (45x33-inch) shipped across the country and called here first to see if they could use the glass. I brought it in and they took it apart. Unfortunately the print had been mounted (a no-no).
However, Scott patiently wrapped up the 4 frame pieces and hardware in foam, and secured the print and backing in cardboard, making it easier to ship.
Cost= $0.
If I were staying in the area, this would be my store of choice. Always support the local company! -

Been here twice in the past two weeks and each time I've gotten amazing service. I came here to get some wiring done ($5 a frame) and the staff have been fast and friendly about it. I wish I could recall the one girl whom I had spoken too because I'd like her manager(s) to know what wonderful customer service she provided. If I need any framing done you'll find me here. There's also plenty of parking so you'll never have to worry about not finding a space.

Great place to go if you need picture frames or any art supplies. We came here today to pick up a frame for a odd shaped photo and to my amazement they had the right size! One suggestion is if you can, look for the add and they will have 30% off in the weekly circular. On the down side if they're not having a sale be prepared to shell out mondo bucks for a frame. Some frames range from 30 to 60 bucks! For a picture standard frame!!! Good Lawd!!!
Overall they have a large selection, helpful staff and ample parking. Only downside is its expensive as hell!
(Silver lining.....I went to Popeye's across the street after and got their two piece special with a biscuit for a Buck 99!!!) That made me feel better =0) -

I come into this store when I can't find what I'm looking for anywhere else. Most of the time, the staff is friendly and will greet you with a "Hello" when you walk in. Other times, they don't acknowledge you. I've found plenty of things to buy here, although they are quite pricey. They have a good selection of frames, art supplies, photo albums, stuff that you might not find anywhere else. Because of that, you pay the price.
Plenty of parking in this shopping center. -

Mae and Tom helped me create a custom mat for my odd shaped pictures and frame. Mae seriously had great attention to details. I arrived there close to closing time and she even took the time to cut the mat out for me then and there saving me a trip. She gave great suggestions when helping me place my pictures in the frame and thought of creative ways to make this gift look pleasing to the eye. I felt like he took care of me and really listened to what I wanted. Would come back here in a second. The mat was $14 and $2 for every cut out. I had a vertical 5x7 and a horizontal and a horizontal 8x10 which made finding a frame impossible but Mae made it happen. I was very pleased with her customer service and expertise.

Ample parking, a nice store next to Chipotles. Best to buy when there's a coupon in the paper, 40% off or two- for- one frames. Large selection of frames, nice friendly staff, organized store. Just check-out your frame carefully before purchasing, most of the ones off the shelves may have small nicks and dents.

Whenever I need frames or custom framing, I go here. I only go to this store because Trey is really creative and always makes a beautiful frame/mat for me.
The prices are fine. You can find coupons online and in the newspaper. Custom is expensive (vs. off the shelf), but it makes a 100000% difference in your photo. I have two super cute ones in my house and the mats bring out the subtle colors in the photos. I look at them everyday and smile (of course, they are of my cute baby girl!)
During Christmas, they get crowded and the service isn't great at the register because they are under-staffed (probably a corporate decision, not the poor people who work there).
Check it out - you will always find something quirky at the front if you need a small gift for a friend/family member. -

Was here yesterday and talked to some of the people there and was actually really impressed. I've interacted with some rather lame and shady people at some Aaron Brother's, but this is a good one.

I've had custom framing done here several times and have always been satisfied (even though it costs a fortune!). I've also bought my share of frames here. There really isn't anywhere with as large a selection of frames and mats. You've gotta love the penny sale too-buy one frame get a 2nd (equal/lesser value) for a penny!

Very small art supply section...definitely not for anyone but the novice. Good selection of frames, and good custom framing. The two times my framing order did not turn out right, they re did it over with not questions asked. Hit the sales, and frames can be very well priced.

I love this place, especially when they have the buy one frame get the second one for a penny. I hope they don't go out of business like Corners down the street. I enjoy their frame selections too.

My mother-in-law gave me three of her paintings, all small but non-standard sizes, and I need to get them framed. I tried another custom framing store but it was way too expensive. I bought 3 nice-looking frames for $53! An employee called Eric was patient and very helpful.

Such a friendly and helpful staff. I purchased two frames at the Blossom Hill, San Jose location and became super frustrated when my husband and I could not get the backings on to the frame. One of the frames actually broke my husband's drill bit in half and it was stuck in the frame. We called the store in Dublin thinking we would have to explain ourselves just to get some help, but they were SO NICE and the guy in the custom-framing department was very knowledgeable!! We took the frames to the gentleman at the custom-framing section in the back and he took out the horrible nails and hooks and did wire framing for us free of charge. That was some great customer service! My husband and I expected to have to haggle or negotiate to get them to fix the frame, but they were so kind and willing to do it for free since we had so much trouble. When I need to purchase some nice frames in the future, the Dublin Aaron Brothers in the ONLY place I will go!

Ample parking, and friendly salespeople. We walked to the rear framing area, and found Scott, who suggested colors and sizes for our mattes around our print that we wanted to be framed. We then chose an appropriate frame, both for thickness and color, and were quite happy with the results. With the coupon, the price for the custom-made matting and frame and non-glare glass was quite reasonable. Scott obviously had good color-coordinator skills, and helped us immensely in completing our purchase. Very friendly staff, which made the purchase quite enjoyable! Will defiinitely return again with more stuff to hang in our home!!!

Don't do custom frame here. Price is fine but service and quality are cheap. Mounted picture falls apart two times. Back seal paper keeps pealing off. Don't complain. Their clerk gets upset when you complain. Only good thing is that frames are backed up by warranty.

Pretty good selection, everyone there is really friendly but i had one encounter with Tre (sp?) who I believe is some type of manager. I was looking at custom mattes and it had a speckled design but I wasn't sure so i asked him if it had dirt on it. That must have flipped a switch in him because he completely took it personally! He said, "all of our mattes are brand new. They are in perfect condition!" As if how dare I insult his matte collection!
He made quite the scene with other customers looking over. I had to tell him to calm down. He went to the back and came back with a better attitude. Not sure if he just had a bad day or he's normally that easy to set off. -

Talented Custom Frame Staff. After a very disappointing mishap with another Aaron Brothers' location on my delicate custom art piece I was hesitant to try Aaron Brothers again. However they had a frame type I really liked and I'd been notified of a good sale for custom framing. Scott was my sales person. He was perceptive, listened to my concerns, made excellent suggestions and also ensure that a very talented framer Lucas came out to review and participate in the decisions on how to best handle the delicate piece in order to ensure a reliable end result. Both Scott and Lucas obviously have a lot of experience and had great ideas to make the most impressive result with the piece. I had several other less complicated pieces done and was very happy with the results of every piece. Further, they followed up with phone calls and a final consultation and handled my items with extreme care. I don't know if I'd recommend all or other Aaron Brothers' locations but I would without hesitation use this Dublin Aaron Brothers team again. Thanks Aaron Brothers, Scott and Lucas!
