Review from Paul F.
Lakewood, CA
I walked in here just out of curiosity. The place is loaded with frames, prints and art supplies. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I got talking to one about a print I was thinking of having framed. Turns out they were having a 50% off sale on a particular selection of frames, so I went home to retrieve my print.
I'll update my review when I pick the framed print up, but the price was definitely right! -

Meh about covers it. I came in looking for a very specific few items, I needed 3 mats to fit 16x20 frames with 8x10 openings in black. I have 4 at home, but needed 3 more. They were out last time, but I thought I'd check. The overly brusque, smoke smelling male employee who was there today swore the mat I was looking for didn't exist. I showed him the white version of the one I was looking for, and he was like 'ok fine.'
Then he kept trying to sell me these double mats I already told him wouldn't fit in my frames. I then told him he could get one of the frames I was talking about since they were still in stock, and see for himself that a double wouldn't fit. When I was of course right, he gave me an attitude.
At least 3 times, unprovoked, he went out of his way to tell me that if I bought something, and opened it, it wouldn't be returnable. I didn't ask, but good to know, thanks, x3.
Found a suitable substitute, no thanks to Mr. Smokesmelling-wrong about everything smarty pants.
The one redeeming factor in this visit was the woman at the register who I paid. She was very friendly and helpful, polite and personable.
In general, the frames at Aaron Brothers are good quality, but they're expensive, so if they're not on sale, with a coupon, they're just not practical at all. -

I usually enjoy going to Aaron Brothers whenever I need anything art, but my last experience wasn't that great. One lady easily helped me find 18x24 Newsprint paper, but a different lady rung me up. I don't know her name, but she was kind of tall and had brown hair. She was rude, with a pissy attitude and acted like she didnt want to be there, or helping me. I also picked out some smaller items, but she, with a sneer, asked if I wanted a bag. Um, yes I want a bag. The way she asked made it seem as if I said yes I want one, it would be a hassel for her to reach over and get it. I understand it can't be the most exciting job, working at Aaron Brothers, but the management needs to find an associate with a better attitude.

The service at this store is A+!
I went here on a Thursday morning and the ladies that were working there were very helpful and sweet. In fact, the few times I've visited this store, the people who worked there were always so helpful.
I would definitely go out of my way to drive to this location, rather than go to the Michael's closer to my house. Michael's workers seem a little less enthusiastic about helping their customers, though they are satisfactory. I am happier with the way I was treated at this Aaron Brothers.
I am giving the store 4 stars because despite the good service, it is unfortunate that the art supplies available have been downgraded to the basics. But it is understandable that they are focusing more on framing. -

I have here more than several times to have something framed. The prices are very reasonable and they are always willingly to fit the pictures in the frame I am buying.

I purchased about 12 frames for some photos here. I made about 4 trips to the store and the sales staff were very nice. I got asked if I needed help every time I came in. The selection at this store was much better than the other location in Long Beach on PCH. Some frames may be a bit banged up from other people handling them so check out your merchandise before you buy it. I liked the work table they have set up in back so you can lay out your pictures and see how they look in the frames. They do custom framing as well. I wish they had an discounted mass quantity pack like 5 frames for the price of 4. I wanted to buy 12 plain black frames. There were some other frames on sale, but not enough of the same ones to make my set uniform.

This is for all the Aaron Brothers Frame and Art Marts. They have taken on the management cloak of the owners, Michael's, and will not accept the 40% off coupons for matt boards. They claim matt boards are part of their custom framing and quick frame service, even though a customer can pick a board, take it to the register and pay for it, just like any other item off a shelf. This SUCKS!
As of 8/23 this review has changed. After my second email to Aaron Bros. complaining about the new policy, i received an email from Rashelle Fund indicating that Aaron Bros. will accept the 40% off coupons for matt board. This revised policy will certainly help to get customers in the door and return for more product. Thanks Rashelle.
