This is the best comic book store I have been to. It is small but has a lot of stuff. People seem to know what they are talking about. It reminded me of the golden years of comics in my youth (90s for me).
THE BEST ABSOLUTE *BEST* comic shop in ALL of OC - how many are left, anyway? Wish i still had $ to buy comix - thanks UAE/EXXON/Big 3 and everyone using so much damn gas doing 90 on the damn freeway!!! Took my comix budget away, bastards!
Anyway - not only is just about everyone who ever worked here really nice (and yes, they can be a little 'comic book guy'-ish; what do you expect if you act like a clueless fanboy?), but the owner is one committed dude. Ever since their recent expansion, they continue to be one of the best informed, best stocked, and -oh my gosh! VARIETY! In a comics store???
Hope to return one day...
i usually come here to get my comic fix when i have extra cash. there are a variety of comics in the store. its very close by and the people there are friendly.

I have to add my 5 stars to the other reviews. This is by far the BEST comic book store around. ANYTHING you want you can get because they happily order any comic you want if they don't have it in stock.
Sometimes I forget the name of the comic but then I'll describe what it's about and one of the employees ALWAYS knows what I'm talking about. It's amazing. No question goes unanswered.
Always a 10% discount so the prices are terrific. The layout is easy to follow but it is packed with merchandise. They've expanded by taking over the store next door and that is filled with everything MANGA. I'm not into Manga but cannot help but be impressed by that part of the store. I find myself browsing the Manga area as well.
Great store, great location, great staff. It doesn't get any better than this!

you can read the reviews...then please just go. if you are into comics, manga, etc....it's the best and the last of a dying breed of hardcore comic shops. everyone there is helpful and friendly. cool toys too!
Wasn't aware that this place still existed, but I remember when I was sooo cool that my mom let me spend my allowance on The Simpsons trading cards. Lots and lots of Simpsons cards. Not sure where they ended up, but they should be lurking around in a drawer somewhere.
Therein lies the extent of my gaming experience, so it's not like I know what I'm talking about. But I couldn't NOT give this place 5 stars, just for the nostalgia. Looks like I'm in good company, though. :)

Ahhh the memories! When I was a TMNT fan I always came here for my fixings. This place has been around forever and for a reason. The owner is a very nice guy and from what I remember knows his stuff and will help you look for what you need. I remember when they moved well over 15 years ago a few blocks down, I was bummed out because I wasn't allowed to ride my bike that far. lol. I'm not into comics anymore, but everytime I drive past the location since I still live around the same area it takes me back. Geez the memories, if your into comics you MUST hit this location up.

The best comic-book shop that Orange County has to offer, it's the area's version of "Golden Apple". Though small, the store is PACKED with comics (recent & back-issue), trading cards/card games, and action figures.
You can rely on the knowledgeable staff for information on the latest issues as well as the top artists & writers, both mainstream and independent. New comics are 10% off, and you get a better discount the more you buy. They also have frequent "holiday" sales, so you can get great deals on back-issues, action figures, or their vast collection of graphic novels. You may even find a rarity or two.
It's a collector's paradise for residents of the O.C.

This is my favorite comic shop, and the best comic shop I've been to since moving away from the San Francisco Bay Area and Rory Root's amazing Comic Relief.
Imagine it as two stores in one, with one room showcasing a considerably large wall rack of newly released monthly titles on one side, with their inventory of back issues in the center aisle. Anything you're looking for will usually be here, and when I wasn't able to find something, it was ordered and waiting for me the next week.
You can find nerdy comic book t-shirts on display here as well, along with a collection of trade paperbacks that'll satisfy adult readers and kids alike.
The second adjoining room is a japanese manga fan's dream, with shelves upon shelves to browse as well as a healthy collection of indie trades and one-shots that are well worth perusing.
I've always found something worth reading during my visits, and the helpful, enthusiastic staff are always great about recommending a new favorite.
The only bad part about making a trip out to Comics Toons N Toys is that I usually end up spending way too much money. Still, they give you a 10% discount on anything you buy, so even then you're saving. If you're at all into comic books and live in Orange County, this should be your store of choice.

Without a doubt, the best comic book store I have ever gone to. Many a comic book store in LA/OC have come and gone, but this place is an institution. I only have good things to write about this place - and I could go on and on for hours. Seriously.
There's a reason why I've gone here the last 15 years. The place is packed with everything a fanboy desires - all the latest comics (including so many hard to find independent titles), back issues, graphic novels, toys, manga, trading cards, posters, shirts, etc. They always have what I want, and if they don't, they can tell you where you might be able to get it.
Guys working there are always helpful and friendly. People who have been coming here have done so for years, and they do so because they can chat it up, get recs on new stuff, and just hang out for a bit.
New comics are 10% off and you can get an additional 10% off of your entire purchase (a bonus called "Comic Cash"). If you like comics, go here. If you collect toys - go here. If you have a child/younger sibling/relative that might be interested in comics or card games - go here. Heck, even if you've never read a comic in your life but want to experience the epitome of what comics are all about - go here!
