Nothing bad to say about Econo gas. A self-serve gas station, located right where you need it (at least it was for me since I lived around the corner and drove a Jeep Cherokee that literally leaked gas out of the tank) and usually pretty cheap.
The true draw of Econo Gas? The Econo Gas Mart, open 24 hours and full (actually, "full" may be an overstatement, it was often pretty empty...at 3 AM it doesn't matter) of fabulously disgusting drunk/stoned/hungover goods like Stouffer's French Bread Pizzas and Gatorade. I cannot overstate the importance of such an establishment within a one minute walk of one's apartment. -

This is the second year I've been to Econo Gas for my yearly inspection.
Honestly, I went there because they were near where I lived and inspections are pretty much a commodity.
I will give Econo Gas props though, because they did not give me crap for having license plate holders. 3 years ago, I went to this place that made me remove my license plate holders because they said that it was against the law. WTF is up with that? Really? Really that's SUCH a big deal? Econo Gas didn't do this and so they get a thumbs up from me.
Additionally, this time there was a guy in front of me, so the cute guy working at Econo Gas gave me a free Coke Zero while I waited. Actually, he let me pick out whatever soda I wanted and I picked out the Coke Zero. Coke has too many calories for me.
Anyway, the point is, I think you'll be pleased if you go here for your inspection. -

Beware, the prices advertised are cash only prices. There is about an $0.08 mark up for credit cards. But I give it 4 stars because it's open 24/7...and I mean it. There have been multiple Christmases Econo Gas has gotten me out of a pinch. Although I am a little sketched out by the stairwell behind the cash register. What do you think goes on up there?

Generic self-service gas station of the type with the sliding drawer through which you pay, but consistently 10-15 cents cheaper per gallon than the big chain names. They do automotive services too, but I cannot comment - my car is still under warranty.
