    I'd like to preface this review by stating that I am the biggest perfectionist on the planet.  Finding a great shop to detail my car I thought would be tough!

    This was by far the best car cleaning and detail I've EVER gotten.  Hands down.  I'm lucky to have A-Z Auto right down the street from me, but had I lived elsewhere I would have come here anyway.

    The shop is right on the Green Line and even though prices seem high, the work they do is exceptional.  

    My car looked better when I picked it up from A-Z than it did when I bought it at the dealership.  I am not kidding.

    A-Z Auto Center is awesome! I usually expect auto mechanics to be sleazy and try to take advantage of customers (especially if you're a female- they always think you don't know anything about cars). These guys are so straight up. They saved me a bunch of money and are super nice. All the people that work there are really friendly, accommodating and explain what is wrong with your car and what they did to fix it.

    I had my back bumper fixed at A-Z after a car accident. They did an OK job fixing the bumper, but I really liked working with Tony.

    I don't know much about cars, but I could tell that there was something off with the car - water was leaking in and accumulating in my right taillight. I brought it back to the shop after 2 weeks, and had it fixed.

    I'm a huge service person and I really liked working with Tony, whom I didn't get to speak with until the 2nd time. Tony was very truthful and sincere, and made me feel that my car was in good hands. I went back to the shop for the 3rd time a few weeks after because I smell burning rubber every time I drove. I was rude and impatient and blamed on Tony and the body shop for ruining my car. But boy was I wrong. It was a plastic bag stuck under my car. Tony was very nice and patient the entire time. He removed the bag and cleaned the car for me without charge. Very nice guy. Ask for Tony.

    Hey Roy and Tommy, thanks for the work you put into my car today.

    I had the exterior detail.  They removed or improved every small scratch and swirl spot.  I paid for the exterior service, and they did the interior free of charge.

    I've been to way more car washes than you'd think.  Most offer detailing services.  A-Z is way, way better.  I will definitely be a repeat customer.  I also recommend you bring your car there.

    An accident might have been the best thing that could have happened because it introduced me to A-Z Auto Center ! After perusing reviews on yelp, A-Z was my top choice ... but with any unfamiliar establishment I was nervous. My nerves were quicky abated from the first moment I walked through the office door and never waivered throughout the whole process. The office staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and they worked seemlessly with the insurance complany. I was already completely satisified and then I picked up the car! The vehicle looked as good as new - and you can imagine what a wreck it was when I dropped it off, given that I bumped a bus ! The car was sparkling clean, no trace of body damage left , and to add the cherry on top they had fully detailed the car. All the staff again was so wonderful and pleasant to interact with.

    I will absolutely go back to A-Z for any auto repairs or car detailing, and recommend it to my friends.

    A to Z was great. They handled my car as if I was a family member. Tony ,Roy and company are good people. They dealt with my Commerce Insurance which I tried to do and it was like pulling teeth and these guys made it easy and are very nice which goes along way. They get my rating and trust me I'm not one to rave about business's ,but these guys deserve it!

    I bought a Groupon for complete interior & exterior car detailing , a value that is worth $180 for $45.

    I was a bit skeptical because this was a stellar deal.  It was practically like free!

    Living in Boston, my car pretty much gets his ass kicked every winter and parking in the streets don't help at all. Um,, yeh someone keyed a huge scratch on the hood of my car and ppl who can't parallel park will scrape my bumper like its a game of tag.  And the grime on my windows, yeh when its rains, i am the fool with its windows down cuz I can;t see out!

    So i make an appt and bring my car in, ugh its raining, i hope this doesnt ruin its wax job.

    At the end of the day, I go pick up my car and they bring it up front and hand you the keys.  I felt like I was driving away in a brand new car. It looked sooo beautiful!  the scratch is gone from the hood, the scrapes on my bumper, no where to be seen!  amazing!!!!

    the inside smelled like lemon fresh and my car is clean and vaccummed! I can see out my windows! wow!

    I will def bring my car here again to get detailed and pay full price because they did an outstanding job!

    Ahhh new car smell.... My poor Corolla is almost 5 years old, it was in pretty rough shape outside and in. I saw a Groupon and thought, PERFECT! I hate detailing my own car, it's such a meticulous job and it takes forever, especially living downtown...

    I bought the Groupon and made an appointment for later that week. The carpet in my car is extra pilly, it's horrible to vacuum out. Did I mention my car is also the beach car of choice by my roommates. It was gross, I mean gross gross. Sand, old ice cream, koolaid spills, dog drool on the windows. I was actually embarrassed to drive it.

    NOT ANYMORE. The inside is beautiful and it smells AWESOME, the carpet looks brand new! The outside still has a few scuffs and bumps, but my Car has been through 3 Boston winters and two Canadian... It's going to, I wasn't expecting miracles. However, I got re-ended about two years ago and you could still see the red paint imprint from the license paint of the car that kissed my car. Well that's gone now... So I'm happy... Overall happy with the purchase, will be back, but it may not be for a while as I'm going to do my best to keep it clean. I will however refer A to Z to everyone!

    Why I'll go back:  They did a meticulous job for a decent price and saved me a major hassle
    Tony's Tip:  There's a green line stop right in front of the building, so you don't have to worry about getting into or out of the city on the day your car is being serviced.

    I actually stumbled upon A-Z while I was researching Groupon.  They had made an offer via Groupon that had been extremely popular (something like 75% off a detailing).  After nine years of somewhat limited, but daily usage, my Audi had finally started to retain some odors, not to mention many stains on the carpets from spilled coffee, muddy shoes, etc.  I had hit my frustration point, but didn't want to even attempt to restore my car to its former glory by myself.  So, the idea of bringing it to A-Z sort of fell into my lap.  I was sold by the multiple Yelpers raving about the "newness" of their cars after a day with A-Z.  So, I felt comfortable taking it in for an interior detailing.

    To make a long story short, Greg was friendly over the phone, the car was done on time, and it looked fantastic.  Not new, mind you.  But practically all the stains were gone, the dashboard and trim was no longer dirty or dusty.  And for weeks, the car smelled like it had taken a bubble bath.  So worth the $99.

    Magic.  The folks at A-Z Auto Center are magicians, they transformed my scary 13 year old car into a thing of beauty.  I decided to have my car detailed before bringing it to a car dealer to trade in towards a new car.  It completely paid off!  Not only did they do an amazing job cleaning the car, they also touched up all the scratches and rusty spots.  Wow.  I almost didn't recognize my old clunker!  And, I got an incredible amount for the trade in thanks to Erik.  

    The service was also great; Greg was friendly and helpful, and Erik who cleaned the car and worked all the magic came out to see if I was happy with the job that he had done.   Car detailing is expensive, but it was well worth it, I will definitely go back there once again.  Try them out!

    So I had all the body work done. I left my car there to have the insurance appraisers come look at it; Greg took care of all that, pointing out the problems, and started repairs as soon as the insurance company agreed with the estimate. I got the car back on Tuesday -- it seriously looks like new. The paint job is fantastic and the car is totally polished and shiny. They fixed up my broken front license plate holder and recleaned the interior while they were at it. They even gave me a small bottle of my paint color to do touchups if and when I ever need them.

    And I have to give them major props for how hard they worked on it. I needed it on Tuesday at 2:30; Tuesday morning while doing final reassembly, they realized that some small clips (~$1 total in parts) had broken during the initial disassembly. Greg was originally worried that the lead time on the parts would mean they couldn't have it done in time, but within a very short time he'd managed to get the parts from a place in Quincy and the car was quickly back together and ready to go.

    If you watch the US open tennis, during the broadcast they show something called motion tracker which freezes the video when a player plays a shot throughout the course of a point. The end result shows a player's position on the court during the point.

    Apparently my one year old car's paint has some sort of motion tracker technology too. It captures the swirls on the paint and the end result: eye of the hurricane type swirls all over my car (Category 6 I think). Adding to the misery: the car is black.

    The Groupon they advertised was heaven sent. Just when I was checking out the places to get my car detailed, I came across their offer; a complete interior and exterior detailing for 89 (50% off the regular price). I called Greg and he was helpful in going about how to setup an appointment. And he sent confirmations and periodical remainders before the appointment. On the day, I drove in early and dropped it off at the service center. Their detailing center is behind the building that houses their office and garage. So make a right turn into the street before the offices and around the small island on the road. Though they said 5 PM as the pick up time, employees were in the office late and I was able to pick up at 6 PM. Mario, who worked on the car, explained all the work that was done;

    exterior: hand washed, polished and sealant applied
    interior: leather seats cleaned and conditioned, carpets shampooed, vinyl cleaned and protectant coat applied, glass cleaned, under the hood cleaned as well.

    I periodically do the interior detailing myself and could really tell the difference between in the quality of the job. A few scrapes and scratches on the outside were wet sanded and buffed out as much as possible which was really nice of him to do.

    They have a $29 wash and detail(exterior) service which I might go far once the winter is over. The website has a vehicle tracking feature (only for the body shop I believe) where they upload pictures of the work being done on the car. Good to see small businesses being web-smart and savy

    Highly recommended. I got my windows tinted recently on my BMW and not only were they very friendly, but they were quick and well priced. I am definitely going back to get some more work done with these guys.

    I also had purchased a $45 Groupon for a complete $180 detailing and finally brought the car in there yesterday. I cannot be more pleased. I've had my car two years and I don't think I've cleaned-out the interior once.  It was ugly.

    But the guys at A-Z left my car looking & smelling like new. Every speck of dust is gone, every crumb from hundreds of Honey Dew Cinnamon Sticks is gone.

    Greg and his crew were friendly & helpful. I would highly recommend A-Z Auto Center, at least for the detailing.

    I dropped off my '08 Mazda 3 after it was hit by a fire truck while parked outside of my apartment as well as some out of pocket repairs to be done.  The cool thing about the place is that you can track the progress of your car through their website by looking at pictures and viewing messages from your claim concierge.  Two weeks later, my car was done.  I went in to pick it up and I was blindsided by they attempting to charge me almost double for the out of pocket repairs then they had qutoted me.  Apparently the price of the part had gone up, but I was not made aware of this before the repairs were completed.

    After much discussion, they honored the original quoted price. Much appreciated Tony.  I got in my car and to my surprise it had been detailed! The air freshener was a bit much, but the inside looked brand new.  The only problem was that they took all my stuff out of my doors, backseat, and pockets and haphazardly threw them in my trunk. Not Cool.  There were a pair of sunglasses that are now unwearable.

    Good Work. Nice surprise with the detailing. Not cool going through my stuff (I'm still missing some things)  I'll go back for more body work, but not before I vent my frustrations face to face with them

    This place is fantastic.  Roy is incredibly helpful and a pleasure to deal with.  I brought my car in this morning because I was having problems with the AC.  Roy called me a few hours later with an estimate that was very reasonable and didn't try to scam me into extra things I didn't need like other auto shops do.  The car was repaired by the end of the day.  I would absolutely take my car back here to be serviced.  It's also very convenient for anyone living near the B line.  It is refreshing to go to an auto repair shop that doesn't try to scam you and sell you things you don't need.

    2 stories:
    1. i took my car there because my engine light came on.  i also needed an inspection sticker.  they told me that i needed new shocks, brakes, and wheels.  the total was $2000 and they wouldn't give me the inspection sticker unless i did all repairs.  i got a second quote at Stadium Auto Body and they said the brakes were fine and to rotate the tires.  total cost about $750.

    2. my friend took his car to A-Z to get his inspection sticker.  they said his suspension needed to be replaced potentially and they wouldn't give him the sticker until they put it up on the jack.  he then took it to the Sunoco on washington st., and they said it looked fine it's just that the struts were squeaky.  total cost was $0.

    They say first impressions are everything so I was a little nervous this morning when I dropped my car off at A-Z and the receptionist/greeter didn't even acknowledge me with a smile and just told me to fill out a form when I announced I was there for a detailing appointment.  After filling out the form (I was afraid to ask her for a pen), she took my keys and Groupon coupon and I was on my merry way.  She told me to return at 5 to pick up my car and again not even a smile or wave good-bye.  Fortunately, the other staff at A-Z that I encountered when I returned for the car were much friendlier!

    I had only had my car detailed once before and this place definitely did a much better job getting to all the nooks and crannies than the previous place.  As others mentioned there were minor things, such as water spots on the mirrors or smears on the radio panel, that I noticed, but overall the car was immaculate!  My car mats which have seen better days look new.  I look out the rearview and the rear windshield is so clean that it looks like there is no glass there.  In fact, when Greg told me my car was around back, I almost didn't recognize it.  The hood of my car was propped up and they had gone under the hood and cleaned it up.  It looks almost brand new and the previous place definitely had not ventured under the hood for any cleaning.  It honestly looks like they restored it to the condition it was in when I first purchased the car.  They also touched up a few scratches here and there which was nice.

    When I went to pick up the car, I had the pleasure to meet Greg in person and he was really friendly.  He introduced himself and told me to go look at the car to make sure it was okay.  Then, I asked him about future repairs to clean up some rust on my car and he gave an informative and thorough explanation of the process they would use.  I would definitely trust them with autobody work in the future.

(I think, or was it Miguel . . . sorry, I was so impressed with how my car looked that I wasn't focusing on his name as much) took me to my car and explained what they did inside and out which seemed above and beyond to me.  He even gave me tips such as to let my car mats dry overnight in the trunk and to crack the window a smidgen overnight to let the carpet dry.  It's rare I go to an automotive business and they actually take the time to explain what they did, especially to a woman.  Mr. Cruz was helpful and friendly and we even shared something in common -- he is from the town where I used to teach -- so we chatted about that a bit.  When I was ready to leave, he reminded me to Yelp or Citysearch if I was satisfied with their service, which I am proud to do so now!

    Since I live in Watertown, this place is convenient to me but still a hike.  I wished they provided a shuttle or something but it was worth the walk.  Yes, I walked home from A-Z after dropping my car off in the morning.  My pedometer revealed that it was a 3.3 mile walk!  I got lazy in the afternoon and took a cab though. :)  So clearly a shuttle would have been helpful in this instance.  I know they do provide pick-up/drop-off service for people who have their cars in for repairs, which is nice.

    Overall, I am so glad I had my car detailed here and that I got a discount through Groupon.  Making the appointment online with Greg was so easy and he even sent out reminders. Even though I was without a car for a whole day, it was worth it!  The process was easy and now my car has that new car smell again.  Hopefully, I can keep it in tiptop shape for a while.  If not, I'd gladly return to have my car detailed.

    I found these guys on yelp, and they lived up to their high rating. Friendly, fast repair on my car, which had had the side-view mirror ripped off while parked outside my house in Brighton. So needless to say I was feeling crabby about getting the service to begin with, and these guys made it as painless as it could have been.

    I used a Groupon for complete interior and exterior car detailing at A-Z. The product A-Z provided was great. The customer service however, was not.

    I originally scheduled my appointment via email two weeks in advance. Five days before my appointment I received an email saying that I had accidentally been scheduled for Labor Day and I would have to pick another time the following week. Someone at A-Z was pretty confused because Labor Day was actually a week after the date I originally scheduled my appointment for, When I called to let them know that it looked like they had made a mistake as well as tell them that I wasn't available to come in the following week regardless, the person I spoke with actually said: "I thought Labor Day was the week before--I'm a mess! I don't have a calendar around here--what do you want me to do?" Well, I don't know...maybe get a calendar! Invest in a day planner! Use sticky notes! Needless to say, the person doing the scheduling made a mistake and I was able to bring my car in for when I was originally scheduled.

    The day of the service I dropped my car off at 8:30 am, and was told it would be done by 5 pm. I came in a little early at 4:40 pm, thinking it might be done. It wasn't, but I was told it would be done by 5 pm, which I was fine with, because they did originally say it would be done at 5. At 5:08 pm, someone came out and said that they were putting on some finishing touches and it wouldn't be much longer...at 5:35 pm, someone else came out and said they were finishing up the wax...finally, at 6 pm the car was done. I sat with another person who was also waiting for her car to be done, and she was still waiting for them to finish her car as I was leaving. It is one thing to wait an extra fifteen minutes, but to wait an hour is ridiculous. They had the car all day! The least they could have done was called me to let me know that the car was taking longer than anticipated and that I should plan on it being done an hour later than planned.

    To their credit, my car looks great and they did a much better job cleaning it than I could have done myself. However, the customer service is really lacking and the only way I would return would be if I got another great deal with a Groupon.

    These guys rule! When I went out to my car this morning to discover my driver's side window smashed to smithereens and my GPS system conveniently removed from my dash I pretty much went blank.  After calling the police & subsequently my insurance company- I thought okay now what? I tried a universal search of on site glass repair places (re: they come to you) I couldn't even figure where to start with the removal of the tooth sized particles of glass overflowing my driver's seat. I tried the ubiquitous Glass Giant people and though very polite-they were booked for the next 2 days...my bf recommended A-Z. I called. Dave Fenner (owner) was busy but took the time to find the part and though I know it was a major pain in his rear he fit me in. 2 hrs later, my window is fixed and the glass is but an annoying memory.  Best part? he called my insurance company himself - so long as I had the claim # it was all out of my hands..all I needed to do was let him into my car. He handles all the paper work!!!! And he's already approved by ins companies.  I hope some random teen felon doesn't bust into your ride...but if they do call David Fenner of A-Z Auto Center...

    I brought my car here for major body damage repair after reading great things on the internet. I had two separate collision claims, plus huge scratches all over my car (hood, roof, doors, etc) from a "friendly" neighbor who cleared off snow with a shovel. I left the car for a week while I was on vacation and when I picked it up it literally looked brand new. On top of cleaning the interior and conditioning the leather, Greg managed to work a full paint job into the insurance money, so I still didn't end up paying more than my deductible. The experience really couldn't have been any smoother.

    I just picked up my car from A-Z after getting the $89 Groupon detailing done, and it looks great!  Everyone at A-Z from Greg to Princess (the cutest little office dog) was personable, knowledgeable and efficient.  My car is not that old, but I have two dogs who ride in it every day with their wet, muddy paws and general stinkiness.  Add to that cement dust, potting soil and bark mulch from dozens of trips to the hardware store, and my 1 year old car was looking a bit worn down.  After the guys at A-Z were through with the car, it was back to looking almost brand new!  The ground in dirt, hair and mulch were gone from the inside.  The leather looked like new, and the scratches on the outside were greatly, greatly diminished!  A few missed spots of dirt, but they got 98% of the dirt out, and I am thrilled.  I have already recommended A-Z to several friends, and I will definitely be back.  A-Z gets 5-stars, because aside from doing a great detailing job, they were also very nice and accomodating!  Thanks, A-Z!
