I was first introduced to Rick about 10 years ago while he was training at 24 Hour Fitness. Rick was extremely helpful and generous with his time; giving me advise, show proper form and even spotting at heavy weight.
Recently I began training with Rick again. He exposed me to a great deal of new exercises and techniques aimed at achieving my specific fitness goals. Within 3 months I have gained a significant amount of size and strength with Rick's expert advise and expertise.

We do this by first addressing any postural deviations or muscular imbalances you may have so you can safely push yourself in training and experience less pain. Once we get you functioning optimally we move on to the fun Stuff like rapid fat loss, lean muscle gains and improving your overall levels of strength & conditioning.
I work closely with your training, nutrition and rest times to make sure you are getting closer to your goals every day. We tweak things when necessary to keep your progress from hitting plateaus.
We can work with any fitness level as long as you have a good attitude and are serious about setting goals and working hard.
We offer boot camps, small groups of 2-4 friends and one on one personal training.
History
Established in 1998
Rick was into fitness as a kid, but didn't begin training seriously until 1993 while stationed overseas in the Marine Corps. His motivation was to be the best representation of what a U.S. Marine should be and It wasn't long before he totally transformed himself from a small weak kid to a lean, muscular Marine. Soon Marines from all over the base were asking how they too could achieve similar results and Rick quickly became the unofficial "trainer" for the majority of the Headquarters Battalion of the 3rd Marine Division, helping the Marines there score higher on their physical fitness tests and maintain a better appearance in their uniforms.
This new job title followed Rick throughout his entire enlistment from Okinawa, to North Carolina, to San Diego where he left Marine Corps in 1998 to become a full time trainer. Since then Rick has helped people from all walks of life transform themselves into someone they can be proud of both physically and mentally and loves every second of it.

Rick Sharp is a North San Diego County independent personal trainer and has more than 12 years of experience helping others transform their bodies and maximize their performance through proper nutrition and training.
During the last 12+ years Rick has worked on mastering the most streamlined and efficient training system possible for getting you stronger, leaner and healthier. His philosophy is that harder is not always better, but that smarter is better and works to develop his clients instead of destroying them. That does not mean that you won't still work hard with Rick, but instead means that every movement and every rep is done for your direct personal benefit and not to fuel his ego.
