While planning my wedding I ran into a snag with my reception site: the tablecloths didn't go with my color scheme and the chairs needed covers. I looked at a few different vendors and I couldn't find any place within a 100 mile radius that could help me. Did I mention that this was about 2 weeks prior to my wedding?
My friend recommended that I call Blanca as she was using her for her table settings so I gave A Touch of Elegance a call. Blanca was able to get me full table settings in my color scheme, delivery early on a Saturday in June, and even did a rush order for a small sweetheart table that I threw in at the last minute.
I received so many compliments for the colors of the sashes as a lot of people that I had planned the table settings to perfectly match the reception hall. Little did anyone know that I never saw the table settings until my wedding day! I described the colors I wanted, the color of the reception hall, and trusted in Blanca. Trusting her was one of the best choices in vendors I've ever made!
I highly recommend Blanca for any event you might have. She is organized, comforting, and exceptional at keeping her prices reasonable. I spent less on the whole reception table settings than I would have just on tablecloths through another vendor!Listed in: Amazing Wedding Vendors

So, we're about 22 days away from our wedding. I'm stressed with work, planning, family, etc, but hiring Blanca was definitely a blessing! She's helped make the whole process so much easier to deal with. She emails me to go over all the details, and I mean all of them including how we should fold the napkins to what time the DJ can start setting up at the hotel. Whenever I call her she always has a friendly voice and reminds me that it's going to be amazing! As someone who needs to hear words of affirmation, this is always reassuring!

My husband and I got married a few weekends ago and Blanca was such a blessing to have! Even though we hired her as a day of coordinator, she was great in helping us with the preparations leading up to the big event. For example, she provided us with vendor referrals, advice, and met with us a few times to go over the details for the actual day. The vendors she provided were excellent, her advice was great, and her organizational skills helped us ensure the day would go smoothly (which it did!). On the day of the wedding, Blanca helped everything go according to plan and we didn't have to worry about a thing. We thoroughly enjoyed our wedding!
Planning weddings could be extremely stressful -- I would know since I opted to handmake invitations, programs, menu cards, name cards, etc. If you're even second guessing about hiring a day of coordinator, I say don't. Having someone to help you makes a big difference and having Blanca will ensure you have the perfect day of your dreams! -

Blanca's staff did a wonderful job! My wedding would not have been complete had it not for her chair covers and sashes! I used to think chair covers were overrated, but it definitely completed the look, 100% positive! THANK YOU Yelp for helping me find her. She is very responsive as we communicated mostly through email. I did meet Blanca once before booking her to see what color sashes she had available, but you can also find samples on her website. I went with gold sashes and white chair covers. My theme was pink napkins and white tablecloths, and her white chair covers and gold sashes worked out great!

When I first contacted Blanca through email. She had answered me right away. I already knew what I needed interms of linen/sash colors. I asked her if she can send me pictures, and she did right away. Since it was very short notice, she required a 50% deposit, the rest of the payment wil be given the end of the day of the event.
On the day of the event, set up was right on time, same with picking everything back up at the end of the event. The colors of the sashes had blended very well with all the wedding colors. Theo and I were really happy with how the chair linens and sashes turned out! Thank you Blanca! Though I didn't get to see her that night, due to cleaning up, everything from the beginning of the contacts through email, and until after when the wedding was done, she was still very professional by contacting me.
Blanca has great customer service to her clients, if the only way is through email, she'll efficiently keep a close contact with you until her services are done.
I highly recommend A Touch of Elegance for any occasion. If I had the funds for my wedding, I would hire you as my wedding coordinator in a heartbeat!

Blanca did our day of coordinating.
She is AMAZING! Super easy to get along with, organized, and executed to perfection!
We had our ceremony in San Jose and our reception in Pleasanton 38 miles away. We were looking for someone to help us out to make sure that the decor got to the right location and the vendors arrived on time and moved according to our timeline. I'm the type of person that is reluctant to relinquish any type of control because I'm afraid it won't get done with as much care as I would put into it, but Blanca and her assistant Kathy pulled it off perfectly. All the vendors arrived on time, she kept everyone on time and decorated our reception hall exactly the way I envisioned, and we had a ton of decor and things that needed to be set up.
Our day ran smoothly and better than we could have ever imagined.
This is my very first review on YELP since I'm lazy to write any reviews, but Blanca definitely deserves it.

put it this way, without Blanca, our wedding day would've probably been chaotic. She was able to help us make sure the venue is setup correctly... all the vendors know what time they're suppose to arrive to setup... she helped us put things out and then away when it finished its use (i.e. the toasting flutes, cake cutting utensils, sand ceremony setup and take down, etc etc...... she even helped us put our wedding favors together... it's definitely well worth the money to be worry free on our big day. stop thinking about asking your friend or relatives to help out, they want to be there to enjoy your wedding too, not just be running around doing errands and whatever for you! =)

Blanca saved my sanity for my wedding.
Initially Blanca was recommended to me from a girlfriend who also hired Blanca for her wedding for just chair covers.
She is amazing! I had no idea that she was also a Wedding Coordinator. SCORE! I had been planning my whole wedding by myself and was tettering on a nervous break down soon. Blanca saved that from happening. She took over where I was starting to freak out about things and made it all managable and fun. I really got to enjoy my wedding.
Blanca was extremely professional, helpful, incredibly sweet, organized, detailed and so on top of her game. When my mind was in 3 millions directions she helped bring clarity, direction and sanity back into my world. She worked really well with all my other vendors and there was not one hiccup at my wedding. My mother wouldn't stop telling me how happy she was that Blanca was there.
Chair Covers:
Blanca and her crew decorated my reception and it looked amazing. I am so glad that she talked me out of some of my choices because the room was gorgeous with her vision. It was classy, romantic and not over the top.
Same Day Coordination:
Blanca was there every step of the way. We communicated constantly, we kept on my timeline and not at one point in the day did I feel anything went wrong or have any anxiety. It was perfect. -

Blanca was one of our FAVORITE vendors from our wedding. She really did an amazing job from start to finish.
First of all, we had a hard time finding linens for our colors because our color scheme is not a very common one... With our teal and silver colors, we were very specific about the shade of teal that we wanted. Blanca went out of her way to find a color that we would be happy with. She set up our linens well before we got there (she wasn't able to enter the room until 3pm and we arrived around 4pm--the room was done and she had already cleaned up and taken off). She even took care of our sweetheart table (which I had forgotten to tell her about).
Blanca's professionalism and eye for detail made our reception room BEAUTIFUL. We received so many compliments regarding our room and we couldn't be more satisfied. We will definitely recommend her to anyone else who wants "a touch of elegance" for their reception! -

BEFORE/DURING INITIAL CONSULTATION:
I was a bit wary about meeting Blanca since I see that a majority of her 5+ star yelp reviews are about her chair cover/linen businesses. A good friend hired Blanca for as their Day-Of Coordinator for a large Chinese wedding and couldn't be happier.
We met for a complimentary consultation where she walked us through what her Day-Of service (which is capped at 20 hours) entails. Upon our request, she showed sample timeline, seating chart, and email communications that are involved for her Day-Of customers. She also gave us explicit example as to what her and her assistant will take care of on the day of the wedding.
She does charge a mileage/travel fee for non-South Bay weddings. But she was very flexible in honoring the same quote that my friend had a year ago. Also, her quote was a rare WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) fee in which includes of tax.
ON-GOING CORRESPONDENCE
Blanca can't be at our wedding! She offered to not charge us for mileage and would have 2 staff on hand.

We met Jane, our day of coordinator in place of Blanca. She was very nice and seem to be on top of things. I am glad she will be there given the fiasco we are experiencing with Berkeley City Club.

Blanca helped us make our wedding reception stunning! She was professional, very quick to respond and very accommodating.
We went with the white chair covers and ivory satin ties and they looked stunning! Blanca was able to do all of the set up and take down and left the room feeling like a million dollars! And best of all the price was significantly lower than the 3 other vendors I had spoken with.

Blanca from A Touch of Elegance provided the chair covers and sashes for our August '09 wedding reception. She is such a pleasure to work with. Blanca is very professional, organized, and responsive.
I found Blanca through rave reviews on Yelp and Projectwedding. I never met Blanca in person, but we kept up a good correspondence through e-mail. She would always reply back to my e-mails in a timely manner. I told her what chair covers and color sashes I was looking for and she would immediately send photos.
Her prices are also very reasonable and affordable compared to other vendors that I researched. Her team set-up everything on time and beautifully. The periwinkle blue sashes that we chose matched our colors perfectly and they definitely transformed our reception venue into a more elegant space.

My husband and I rented 130 chair covers from Blanca for our August 15th wedding. Chair covers might be one of those minor details that guests tend to overlook at a wedding, but that little detail was an important one for us as they really add that final touch to the perfect wedding reception.
We searched many companies to find a reasonable price for the chair covers as our venue was charging an arm and a leg for them. We were so happy when we finally found Blanca! Her price was exactly what we were looking for and the chair covers were great! I even heard the banquet manager at the venue say that her chair covers looked better than their own!
Blanca was wonderful and was probably the easiest vendor to work with. She was on top of everything, and we were very happy with the results! -

1. Price was as low as it gets.
2. Chair cover and sash quality were excellent!
3. Communication with Blanca, the owner, was fast (same day or next day). She sent swatches that arrived the same week I requested them.

Blanca is awesome to work with. I hired her to do 500 chair covers with aubergine organza ribbon for my wedding banquet on July 18. The ribbon was the EXACT shade of purple I was looking for and no wrinkles on the chair covers! Blanca is a dream vendor. I did not have to worry about a thing. They arrived and set up promptly and came back to tear everything down - all without any direction from my wedding coordinator.
Will definitely refer to other friends and family. The service is GREAT and her prices are the best around! -

We rented chair covers and organza sashes from Blanca/a Touch of Elegance for our event and were pleased with the color of the chair covers and sashes (we didn't see any samples beforehand, but the colors were as we expected from photos Blanca shared), very reasonable rental fees, and the prompt set-up service. However, we were a bit surprised by how some of the sashes had easily slipped off the chairs before the end of our event. Even our event coordinator seemed surprised by this. This affected the look of our event and posed a potential hazard - after some sashes fell onto the floor, a few people didn't see them and almost slipped on them. No one was hurt, thankfully.

I have been working with Blanca on weddings and special events for two years now. As a full-service caterer, I need to rely on competent fellow vendors that compliment our services. Blanca not only provides chair cover service, she is also a certified wedding coordinator.
Not only does she provide quality chair cover and many selections of colors of sashes, Blanca and her team install and remove them at the end of the party. She is on-time, reliable, very friendly, and is a true professional. The materials she uses are always of the highest quality, but her pricing is very competitive
When Blanca is coordinating a wedding we are catering, I know she has not only the bride's back, but ours too. Often times, we coordinate the entire wedding which we love to do, but having Blanca on the team allows us to focus on our specific areas. She is not one of these "in-your-face control freaks." She is organized, well planned, communicative, and friendly. As a coordinator, you are like the conductor of the orchestra. Blanca runs a graceful symphony. But most importantly, she cares.

Blanca did a wonderful job with the chair covers at our wedding! The grand salon at Casa Real (our wedding venue) is already gorgeous but their chair covers really enhanced the look of the room and decor even more! At other weddings that we have been to, the bows on the chair covers don't last and get undone. However, the bows on her chair covers stayed on the whole night! It was really amazing...Blanca must have some secret bow-tying powers! :)
My fiance and I really appreciated how easy and flexible Blanca was to work with. When we were trying to decide which ivory chair cover to choose, she let us take home sample chair covers so that we could match the table linens at our venue. My sister in-law needed linens for her wedding and we found Blanca - she was GREAT! I told Blanca I would continue to use her for ALL our family events and I kept my promise! I am so glad I found A Touch of Elegance. Chair covers are one of those things you probably don't consider until most of your wedding planning is done, at which point you're probably sick and tired and just want to get married already! Thank goodness it was such a breeze to work with Blanca. Blanca Samano is organized, professional, and flexible. She has such a wide range of sash colors to choose from that it was difficult to decide on what we wanted! We found her prices very reasonable considering we needed about 200 chair covers. We have only good things to say about Blanca and the beautiful chair covers she provided for us. She was very easy to work with in terms of communication, design ideas, flexibility with different sash styles. I rented chair covers and sashes from Blanca, who is very professional and easy to work with. She sent me swatches of chair sashes right away and gave same day email responses for the most part. The fabric was nice (satin sashes), but I was a bit disappointed in that the Tiffany blue swatch that she sent me did not match the actual color during the reception. I received a light blue Tiffany satin swatch in the mail (and I went with that), but the sash on my wedding day was an aqua Tiffany blue.
Also make sure you hire Blanca to setup your sashes. I had the workers at my venue setup the chair covers and sahses and I was disappointed when my fiance and I saw the sashes for the first during our reception. The sashes were halfway on the back of the chairs and the tails were dragging on the floor. It was sloppy. It's partly my fault because I should have been specific about what I wanted it to look like, I just assumed it would look like the sashes in Blanca's gallery. Maybe it did initially looked nice, but because the guests moved around in their chair, the sashes came loose and slipped down the chair so maybe that's why half the bows didn't look symmetrical. At first I was upset about the color and droopiness, but my now husband thought the blue tied in really well and the sashes added a touch of elegance (not to sound too corny). Even if it didn't, he made me feel better. -

We are very happy with our decision to go with Touch of Elegance. We originally got her info from one of the many bridal shows we attented last year. Our wedding was in April (this month) and absolutely beautiful - the chair covers we chose were beautiful! We chose to go with white covers and black satin sashes. And not tied in the common bow tie. IT WAS ELEGANT! Set up was perfect and take down (had no idea) considering we went on our honeymoon the very next morning but was told I didnt have to worry about pick up. Blanca was one of my best finds ever! She was referred to me by a friend whose wedding she did the linens for, and I can definitely say that among all the chair and table linen vendors I vetted, her prices were the most affordable and her service was top notch. Usually you get what you pay for (you don't pay much, you don't get much), but with Blanca, that was never her modus operandi. The ballroom was set up the day before, and she emailed me promptly about the tables I forgot to order overlays for. Note to brides: don't forget to order linens for the cake table, the sweetheart table, and the vendor table, all of which I forgot to do! But she very gracefully came back the next day to add linens for the tables I forgot to order for, and just billed me the outstanding amount the next day, with no fuss whatsoever. Blanca, if you're reading this, keep up the good work! My wedding would not have gone as well as it did without your outstanding service!

Blanca was referred to me by the Catering coordinator where we held our wedding reception. Blanca was easy to get a hold of and always very responsive, mainly through email. She was helpful in sending photos of her chair set-up's so I had no doubt her quality was solid. We went with white chair covers and gold sashes. Blanca set-up and took-down without having to coordinate anything directly with me - she just took charge. We acquired Blanca's services to coordinate our complete wedding and provide chair covers as well for our April 24th, 2010 wedding. Blanca did an amazing job of staying on top of all of our vendors, made sure that all services were performed as planned, on schedule and as promised- a task that would have been very difficult and stressful for a bride and groom who were already stressed as it was during the pre-wedding weeks. She went above and beyond by making herself available to us whenever we needed her. She provided a timeline for us to coordinate when and what needed to be done. She constantly emailed us reminders and confirmations. She handled disbursement of payments on our wedding to all of our vendors. Her attention to detail was absolutely on-point and focused.
