A Taste Of Italy is definitely a Wilmington staple. Great deli sandwiches with Boars Head meats. Good selection of anti-pastas, sides and salads. But the highlight for me are the wedges! They get the bread fresh daily from apple annie's (I'm pretty sure at least) and you cant go wrong whether you opt for the meatball parm with melted motz, the chicken parm, or the eggplant parm. They are all delicious! This is also a market where you can get all the italian items you can't find at the teeter. They have a great selection of frozen gourmet ravioli's, pastas, sauces, olives, etc. Oh, and don't forget to check out the dessert counter on the way to check out. This is one of the places you miss when you move away from Wilmington.
PS. I forgot to mention that they do serve breakfast too. Not sure what time they open. The bacon egg and cheese wedge is unbeatable in the morning after a big night out. -

Very authentic Italian, from their market to their food. A great locally owned business in Wilmington.

This place rules. Good store and a great place to eat. Never had a bad dish in the four years that I have been going.
I would give more stars if it were possible. -

I thought this little place was wonderful! I loved the little Italian market setup inside. Now I know where to get those hard to find ingredients.
We were in for lunch and I had the meatball sandwich. Hubby had the Genoa salami sandwich. The meatball was good and the sauce was tasty, but that crusty roll was the best! And the salami on Hubby's sandwich was good, but not quite peppered enough for my tastes.
A little pricey compared to other sandwich joints, but not hardly for what they're serving. Can't wait to go try the prosciutto on a roll. -

I can't believe this place hasn't been reviewed yet.
It is damn good italian food. Even the people who complain too much about the south will shut their big mouths when they eat here.
-1 star, because selection is limited, different food at different times. Atmosphere is about like a 711. I forget what the prices are, but whatever it is, it is worth it in caloric value. -

I don't know why everyone raves about this place the antipasto is amazing but everything else is not that special!

5 star food and service every time! Great place to pick up italian imports, home made ravioli, and ready to eat dinners. We often get take and bakes and heat up at home. Try the for your next "i don't want to cook night" or next party.
