Oh Tisso How I love my hair do.
If I were a salon owner in SD this place would be my nemesis. Its got everything. Check list please:
1. Sylists who know what their doing- Check
2. Stylist who know how to do your hair the way you like- check
3. Beverages- check
4. A clothing boutique- check (get ya some new fits while yer they they have hot clothes)
5. Hot peeps to help you- check
6. Great outside patio- check
7. Michael Lee the owner- he should run for mayor- check
8. Great prices- Check -

Mad props to anyone who can make an Asian blonde. Tisso did it to my hair!
Weeks later, I love the color even more than before. I've totally grown into it. The cut is really amazing too... I don't notice in the mirror as much as I do in photographs of myself where I can see all the cool looking, flattering layers from all different angles.
The receptionist is really cheerful and sweet.
I like that you always get greeted as soon as you walk through the door downstairs too.
I wish the items in the boutique were less expensive so that people on budgets (like moi) could actually feel hope that some items are within our grasp. -

Tisso is a freakin' genius. It is rare that you find a stylist who does color and cut with equal skill. I am convinced that he can do anything.
Before him, I flew up to San Francisco to get my hair done (because that's where I am from, and well, I'm loyal like that). And then I met Tisso... all of the skill of my previous stylist and he's in my own back yard! Oh, and Tisso isn't as expensive as my previous stylist. WIN!
The receptionist is a sweetheart, and there is a convenient boutique downstairs that has hella cute clothes. The salon is definitely a one stop shop.
But Tisso.. how you've made my locks flow... I will follow you wherever you go. -

Being new to the area I had been asking around for a great hair stylist and boy did I luck out that someone recommended Jeremy! I get soooooo many compliments on my ombre hair and I owe it ALL to Jeremy. I have to add It's such a treat coming to the Salon. The staff is super friendly, the boutique is super cute, and the the stylists are amazing. Couldn't ask for anything more!

Amazing salon! Carachele did my hair and I could not have asked for a better stylist. I went in there with a last minute appointment. I had super long hair and wanted a bob style cut. I was super nervous because I had never been here before but man did I nail this right on the head! I will definitely be going there from now on! Oh! And the talent outweighs the prices tremendously!!!

Absolutely LOVE this place, you walk in and feel like you are in a high end important place that you had to wait months just to get an appointment but without that snooty feeling to it or the wait. Everyone here is really friendly and great and so willing to help. Michael did a great job putting this team together!

Concierge at the W highly recommended them. Needed a wash/blow out after a very long run along Mission Beach to La Jolla Cove. My hair was all stinky and stuck to my head. The concierge was quoted $35 - excellent price; hate the gouging out there for this service. My stylist was this amazingly mature and engaging young woman of 23; poised and professional-Janean. Better than the glass of wine I got - she made my hair look absolutely amazing - flipped up at the ends, shiny, lustrous - i wish i lived out here so I could visit her at this Salon. Very nice people.
When I checked out, the bill was $40. I informed her that I was quoted $35 and she told me that it starts at $35. The concierge had confirmed the price for me and I mentioned that to her. She adjusted the price to $35 right away. I tipped very well and believe they did the right thing too - definitely returning back on my return San Diego visits.
This place does it right! -

I was in San Diego for the Marine Corps Ball and I wanted to get my hair done. I found A Style Concierge by looking on Yelp and I want to thank my fellow yelpers for steering me the right way.
When you first walk in there is a shop on the lower lever with cute clothes, shoes and accessories. When you walk upstairs you enter the salon portion.
Maria did my hair in a retro pinup style and I LOVED IT! She did a fabulous job! I showed her a very basic picture of what I wanted and man did she deliver. My husband LOVED my hair too.
Another great thing was that it only cost $45 to have my hair done. I have never paid less than $65 at other places so this was a total deal!
I would absolutely recommend coming here to get your hair styled especially if you have a special event to go to. -

This place is great for all hair services. Located in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter in Downtown San Diego, it is also very convenient for the people who hustle and bustle in the city on a regular basis.
I always utilize A Style Concierge for the business I manage. The services we regularly get include Pre-Styles for hair and make-up, as well as off-site hair services for fashion photo shoots. I have had nothing but positive experiences with this company and recommend it highly to both individuals as well as companies in the fashion and modeling industries. -

Honestly amazing: my hair has never looked so good!
I got my hair done by Carachele, and she was so sweet and did exactly what I wanted done. She even gave me pointers about how to do my hair and skin/other cosmetic tips! She was such a doll, definitely going back to her again. -

Found out about their services through the concierge at my hotel. They were really friendly and amazing. I wanted to get my hair done for New Years Eve and it was so nice to not worry about my hair and makeup. They hooked us up on the guest list for Stingaree and we had no problems.
My hair was a fun and funky up-do ( go with your hair washed and blow dried). I brought in my dress so they could have a sense of what to recommend. My makeup was also really well done. Some of the other looks in the salon that day were really incredible ranging from 50's pinup to sleek modern. They also have some fun clothes, accessories for sale in the salon.

As a straight male, the thought of going to a salon to get a haircut seemed very emasculating. But I said, "Screw it, this is the 21st Century for cirssakes. Let the homophobes and the ignorant say and think what they want." Besides, I am admittedly more "metro" and fashion conscious than most other guys.
Anyway, I actually went here for their grand opening of their new location on 5th Ave. I "know" the owner, Michael, through my mother. I had met him before at other locations, but met him again that night at the opening. VERY COOL GUY. Not only cool, but you can tell he cares about his business, fashion, and his customers. He immediately made me feel welcome, and it was just all around a good night.
We briefly taked about me coming in there for my next haircut, and a few weeks later, I did. Usually I go to some joke like Supercuts, and as far as I know, this was my first experience at a legitmate salon. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I did know they would do an excellent job. Needless to say, they came through.
My stylist, Only (the name she prefers to be called), treated me very very very well, and was very friendly, helpful and knowledgable. Not to mention attractive. I put my hair in her hands (literally and figuatively), and trusted her opinion over my own. She is a true profssional, and will probably be going places if she keeps this up. I don't think I could have asked for better service.
I will defintely be coming here again despite "the price" (which isn't really that much more than Supercuts, at least for guys), but you defintely get what you pay for. Incredible value.
Guys, ditch the preconceptions of salons, and check this place out. It's no barber shop, but you will be pleased with the results regardless.
PS. The two star review is obviously the exception to the rule. Don't let it affect your opinon. The person who wrote it simply failed to communicate what they wanted, and is just too proud to admit it. -

Janean is amazing. As a stylist she can't be beat. I am literally blown away by the Brazilian Blowout treatment she gave me. I have never in my life had such smooth, gorgeous hair. Janean is certified, professional and knows her stuff. If you want quality, experienced, fun service Janean is the stylist you want.

I found out about 'A Style Concierge' through Issac (one of the stylists), who works there. I met Issac at Diesel and then followed him to this other salon, because he really is THAT Bad Ass!!! Everyone who works there was uber friendly, and very talkative and welcoming and they joke with you. They are all so great! I was laughing and having an awesome time, on top of getting a stellar hair style! I haven't had any of the others there cut my hair, but Issac is a hair genius, PLUS he really cares about the health of your hair. When someone REALLY cares about your appearance and hair health, it really makes you feel attractive and taken care of. Plus he's totally willing to be edgy and daring with you... you have no idea how hard it is to find someone willing to do extremes. He's fun!!!
The only thing that makes it somewhat of an inconvenience is the parking since it's all metered street parking. BUT when I went there, Issac paid attention to the time for me, so I wouldn't have to worry about it, AND when the meter needed more money he froggered it across the street dodging the cars to make sure that my car was totally cool. So it wasn't that bad.
Also, in most salons when you have to wait for a while when your hair color chemicals are doing their dealio, you'll be chillin' in your chair either looking at a magazine or just sitting there. BUT this salon is a boutique as well, so you can get up and look at all the things they have for sale. It's kind of cool if you are interested in getting some new stuff, of if you just wanna look. It's nice to get up and walk around and not have to sit there not doing anything.
It's a good experience and I have nothing but awesome things to say about this place. They don't rush you, and they take their time making sure that you look fantastic. Who doesn't like that? -

A Style Concierge is the perfect place to revamp yourself. Their offer haircuts and styling of all types and have incredibly experienced and talented stylists. They offer a beautiful selection of jewelery and have that nice boutique-y feel to the place. There is a selection of clothing there as well- totally unique stuff with an edge! They host parties and the owners can be seen all over town doing what they do best- styling and networking! Be sure to visit if you feel like you need style or fashion advice, or if you just want to check out all their cool gear!

Love this place. I was looking for a new hair stylist and this place is really close to my apt. I was a walk in and totally felt welcomed. When I had previously walked by I thought it may have been kind of "we are better than you" kind of place. I was completly wrong! It has a very boutique-y feel, which I like. Very casual while they are doing hair. They also have clothes and awesome jewlery. Just be prepared to spend some time there. It took twice as long to get a cut/color there as my previous place...but no complaints on the results! Love it!

Jeremy is amazingly talented and after having your hair cut, colored and styled, you FEEL different. Most hair stylists are adequate..that's it. I have had my hair done twice now by Jeremy and the first time, he flat ironed my hair in a very cool style and the second, he curled it and gave me a completely different look, which I loved. He chose the perfect color and his cut has been working so much better than what I had. I am SO happy that I changed hair stylists and it took a lot for me as I'm very particular about my hair. Everyone is very nice and I highly recommend this salon..particularly Jeremy.

I have no complaints about this cute salon. Trust me, ask for Daniel- he transformed my really heavy, long, thick, neglected hair into long beautiful layers that I can actually manage now. This was seriously the best haircut I've ever had! They don't just kick you out after they blow dry your hair, the styling continued. I got compliments for the rest of the day about how great my hair looked and the best part was how Daniel was able to maintain my length and volume but also gave my hair some shape and made it a lot lighter. Everyone working there is super friendly and they go the extra mile to ensure you have a great experience. Would you like a drink? You want to massage my tense shoulders after you wash my hair? This place is no Supercuts! In addition to being a salon, A Style Concierge is also a boutique and they hold fashion events for publicity. I hadn't cut my hair in about 2 years so it really needed some TLC, so I was really impressed how Daniel took his time (over an hour and a half!) until we were both satisfied with the results. I couldn't stop running my fingers through my hair all day!

I took a group of 9 girls into A Style Concierge before a night of drinks and dancing at Stingaree. Michael Lee, Jeremy and the Stylists were amazing, they made sure that each girl looked stunning with hair and make up to fit their personality. Ady the make up stylists was the best I have ever seen the girls were fighting over who would sit in her chair next. Our bachelorette was so happy and we were the envy of the other three bach parties at Sting that evening. If you have a group of girls and want to have hair and make up done for an affordable price go to A Style Concierge! The service is insane!!!

all i can say is tisso does wonders!! love him he makes my hair look so amazing. don't know what i'd do without him. it's hard finding someone to trust with your hair but i have so much trust in him he always seems to amaze me.
