So this is my first review..bare with me.

Needed a limo for Temecula wine tour to celebrate my birthday with my besties. Called a few companies..this one happened to have a decent price. Lionel Medina is the owner/limo driver. He's a cool guy..knew a lot about the wineries.

Pro's: Limo was clean. Ice and glasses provided. He cleaned it out at every stop and replaced the glasses with clean ones. Decent ride..no accidents.

Con's: came unprepared with trash bags , told my friends no feet on the bar and the seats (what are we 15?) We are all educated professionals..really? Says to me that if someone gets sick in the limo, its extra? uh..duh? price was $65/hr plus gratuities. At 20% gratuity and for 5 hours came out to $390. On the paperwork he had me sign, it said $400. i ask about the extra $10, he took it upon himself to round UP! wtf? Whatever..I gave him the extra $10. So we end up running a few hours over..total should be $156. i check my credit card today and he rounded up again and charge my card $160! i guess we even out since he didn't charge me the processing fee. Pay cash people. I did call and speak to him about it. He offered to refund the $14. If he does, great,. If he doesn't, whatever. I just didn't appreciate the "round"up.

Overall, he's an nice guy trying to make an honest living. Service was good. He was on point at opening the door and knowledgeable of wineries. Everyone in my party was pleased.

i don't know how long he's been in business but as a business woman myself, I certainly would've handled it better than haggling a few bucks with a paying customer.

If I could give this horrid company NEGATIVE stars I would! After calling and searching all over San Diego for a Limo company for my boyfriend's 30th birthday, I decided on A Royal Limousines because they were running a deal for $65 an hour instead of the usual $85.

Well trying to save $200 by going with a knock-off limo service ended up biting me in the ass and costing me WAY MORE than it would have if I went with a reputable company.

By the time we were dropped back off at home (at 1 am - we didn't even use our full 6 hours) the limo was spotless. Lionel (the owner & driver) had picked up any napkins or cups that were used and replaced them with new ones. Based on the way the limo looked when we finished the night, there is no reason why I should have had my credit card charged with all these extra "cleaning fees".

When I saw the extra charge on my AMEX (a week later) I filed for a fraudulent transaction, siting that I never approved the additional charge (which is true). It's now 3 weeks later and A Royal Limo called me to do nothing more than YELL and ARGUE with me. They told me that the limo had 2-3 inches of alcohol flooding the car floor... is that even feasible without me dumping full gallon bottles on the floor?? The fee was apparently for getting the carpets cleaned... they have no pictures of the limo or evidence that it needed this level of deep carpet cleaning.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE & A SCAM!!! THEY WILL FIND ANYTHING THEY CAN TO CHARGE YOU EXTRA IN FEES. Save yourself some money and SANITY and just go with a good limo service even if their base price is a little higher.

After reading previous reviews, I thought I would try this company.  They were very unresponsive to emails that I sent requesting confirmation, but I let that slide.

When I reserved my limo, I was sure to tell the guy (Lionel) that there were 9 of us, but a couple of the people were on the heavier side.  I asked if a 10 person limo would be ok and he assured me that it would be fine.  When the limo showed up, there were 3 seats that could each fit 3 skinny (really skinny) people.  By my count, that is 9 seats in a 10 passenger limo.  Needless to say, we were totally cramped and one of us had to sit on the floor of the limo the entire ride.  I was also told that there would be an iPod connection, and a dvd player.  No iPod connection and dvd player wasn't working.  Even if those things were working, there were only speakers on one side of the limo so the opposite side could hear nothing.

I decided to let the company know how unhappy I was.  I was willing to give them another try until...

When I spoke to Lionel on the phone he argued with me and threatened that if I posted this on yelp he would hire an attorney and sue me.  WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!  Would never recommend this company to anyone.

That being said, the driver of the limo was fabulous.

Somewhere between Escondido and Poway, the ending of another Temecula Wine Tour...

CHUN P': "Um Sir, can you pull over asap? I really have to PEE!"
LIMO GUY: "Oh! Sure! No problem!"
    BRIANNA: "Really?
    CHUN P: "Yes, REALLY! I thought I could make it...but I can't..."
SAM: "Uh, you know we're only like 10 Minutes away right?"
CHUN P: "I know! But its either a $500 fee clean up fee for peeing in my pants, or $24 for 15 minutes of overtime!"
    TONYA: "Everyone clear a path!"

5 minutes later, I am taking these most expensive and rewarding urination experience of my life behind the back of a Shell Gas station.  Well worth every penny.

$425 Cash, or $450 Credit, gets you 5 hours in a nice, clean 10 passenger limo.  But depending on the size of your friends, I would say 9 max, and 8 is comfortable. Included are two ice bins, 1 champagne ice bin, some water bottles, DVD-CD-IPOD Player, champagne glasses, regular glasses, napkins, and one very friendly limo driver.

Alcohol is not provided, but my crew brought OJ and Champagne and Mimosa-ed our way up to Temecula listening to Right Said Fred and Dee-Lite. After our first winery, we were pleasantly surprised that the our driver had cleaned the interior again and replaced all the dirty glasses! Nice!

Sadly I only tipped him $15 because I was out of cash because of the extra $24 for overtime for my near urination disaster...which ate into his tip.  Sorry man, I'll get you next time! :)

I called 5-6 limo companies before choosing A Royal Limousine because they were available and for the best price. I would go with this company again "Fo Sho".

I called A Royal Limousine on the recommendation of a friend in law school.  She had a good experience with them for a Temecula wine tasting tour and because I expected my needs to be a bit more low brow, I knew I wouldn't be disappointed.  I was not.

The driver had already picked up one of my friends in Pacific Beach by the time he arrived at my house in North Park at 8:30 am.  You see, that day was Party Day; a day of partying for no reason in particular with just the guys.  Yes, my idea.  The limo was reserved from 8:00 am on, so he made pretty good time.

The limo was a white, stretched Lincoln Town Car, maybe a few years old but meticulously detailed inside and out.  Anyway, another friend (who lives in Chula Vista) was waiting with me, so the three of us were off to Bankers Hill to pick up the fourth of our foursome.

The limo was stocked with ice and lots of glasses, and we could have smoked our cigars inside had we been willing to pay for any burns and to have it deodorized, which we were not, but it was a nice offer of accommodation.  We filled the bar with six bottles of Veuve Clicquot my buddy had on hand, and made our way downtown to the Manchester Grand Hyatt for breakfast.  There, we also picked up a bottle of Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame Rose 1995 for later.

After breakfast the driver was waiting right out front, and we went and had drinks at the Emerald Plaza Hotel lobby bar.  They make a mean Singapore Sling!  Next was Old Town for margaritas, then Harrahs for some cards, on to La Jolla for fish tacos, with a few dives in between.  The driver was ever-present, with doors open and a nice smile.  I could really get used to that kind of treatment.

With the Champagne gone, we got a bit loud and rowdy, but didn't earn so much as a peep from our very courteous driver.

During the course of the day, the limousine was routinely restocked with clean glasses and more ice, and freshened up (maybe even vacuumed).

Over all, I was quite impressed with the level of professionalism displayed by A Royal Limousine.

I did note that whomever answered the phone seemed a bit busy, but was not rude.

The next time I call have the need or desire for a limousine, I will call A Royal Limousine.
