3 reviews for A Place For Us
A Place For Us is probably the best coffee hot spot in the Midway area. I rarely have found a place that truly treats the customer with a professional and friendly welcome.
A Place For Us is open 7 days a week from 11am to 1am. They always have FREE entertainment everyday of the week. They have great food and coffee. Their burgers, fries, and chicken sandwiches are incredible. They have good coffee and they now have a much better selection on coffee drinks. Their hot chocolate is the bomb.
The environment was clean, warm and fun. They serve no alcohol! The WI-FI is free and they never have a cover charge. The owners, Terry Austin and John, were funny and friendly.
If ever in the Midway area check out this cool place. They are located at 5629 West 63rd Street. 1/2 block West of Central. I give the place 5 stars and a huge thumbs up.
Their phone number is (773) FRIENDS (773) 374-3637
Their web-site is WWW.APLACEFORUSMIDWAY.COM

WOW What a Cool Place. It is actually located at 63rd and Central, by Midway Airport. The map shown… Read more »
I was out on a long bike ride, and found myself at a garage sale past Midway Airport, the guy was selling tons of old records, which I didn't expect to see. Anyway I ask him what's a good place to eat around here. He said "nowhere" then he said try this place, so I did.
Had the burger and fries there, the burger took a while but was delicious, top notch ingredients good french bread. Really one of the best in the city, and was served on really good french bread. The fries were very salty but passable.
Owner was quite friendly, showed me a cute backyard after I finished me meal. The decor is warm in a down home sort of way. They're open late and have a lot of programming at night. Seems they want to be an alternative to the numerous bars on 63rd.
I'd def. go back if it weren't miles and miles from my house
North side atmosphere on the south side.
I am thrilled about the new coffee house that has popped up in my neighborhood. It is on 63rd, just west of Central. It reminds me a bit of Uncommon Grounds in Wrigleyville.
Decor is great. It's a large space with exposed brick. They are integrating model trains into the decor in honor of the impact that trains have in the neighborhood. The food was good and reasonably priced. Everything is made fresh.
Free wi-fi and board games. Nightly entertainment from improv to karaoke to open mic night. Open until 1 a.m. and alcohol free. A great alternative to hanging out in the bars.
The owner was extremely welcoming and gave us the tour, told us about his future plans for expanding the space, and briefed us on the entertainment schedule as well as some local history. We played a quick game of spades while our food cooked. Burgers were delish.
What a great addition to the neighborhood!!!!!!!!
