Melissa and all of the employees over at A Pet's Best Friend are very professional and reliable. They always do a great job and never have to worry about our furry friends when were at work or out of town. They all are very caring all always bring extra treats and gifts for our pets. It's the little things that count, right? A Pet's Best Friend does a great job at going the extra mile. I would recommend them to anyone in need of walks, pet sitting or general help out with their animals!!

I've been using Melissa and A Pets Best Friend for several yrs now. At first I was skeptical about someone coming into my house, but have never had anything happen or any reason to complain. My dogs are safe and comfortable at home and not exposed to kennel cough or cages, which always bothered me. Love the sweet notes left behind and descriptions of each daily visit. Also, very nice to not worry about mail, newspapers, garbage cans and watering flowers. Feel safer knowing someone is checking on my house and coming and going while I'm away. Awesome job!

I called last minute for a dog walk while we were out of town and didn't have a worry. We had met with Melissa beforehand just in case of such occasions. Our two rambunctious girls were well taken care of and the dog walker even left a little note to tell us how the visit went.

We have much experience giving medications of any kind, including sub q fluids and injections, and handling any emergency situations that may arise. Host a Petlane party and receive free products or other rewards.
Pet photography is yet another service we provide. Photo shoots are on location and you will receive a photo CD of all photos with no copyrights. So, you are able to order prints on your own without paying the high prices charged for enlargements by most photographers.
Lastly, we provide lower pricing for those that have dogs with a doggie door or a household with cats only.

Established in 1995
A Pet's Best Friend™ pet sitting service was started in 1995 by Melissa Kauffman, a pet owner and animal lover. Providing loving care for all domestic house pets in the Broomfield, Westminster, or Northglenn, Colorado area, A Pet's Best Friend is a wonderful alternative to kennels. Our clients are able to enjoy their time away knowing that their pets are in excellent care. We provide discounts to clients with cats only or dogs with doggie doors, and do not charge per pet.
Not only do we take care of your pets, but services for your home will be provided as well. We are an insured and bonded service and proud members of Pet Sitters International. We offer a free consultation at your home and provide excellent references, including recommendations from local veterinarians.
