We used perfect impression for our wedding which took place at Casa Real in March. We met with Aaron in June of 2011 and we instantly liked him and his photography style. Aaron was very responsive (i.e. I didn't have to wait weeks to hear back from him when we were setting up the initial meetings). We decided to also have Aaron shoot our engagement shots. Aaron was super engaging during our shoot - he gave great direction but he also was open to what we wanted. For example last minute I thought to bring a scrabble board with us and I thought Aaron would think I was crazy but he saw it and ran with it and some of our favorite photos are of us in the park playing scrabble!
The turnaround time to get our engagement photos was quick! We then met with Aaron a few weeks before our wedding and set up the timeline and what photos we would be looking for. I am very type A so of course I had a list of who exactly I wanted in photos and again he ran with it. (You also fill out a work sheet which helps quite a bit!)
Aaron and Katie both shot our wedding and both were wonderful! I can not express how easy it was to work with both of them. Aaron had some amazing ideas like using umbrellas and fantastic lighting. Everything went so smooth on our wedding day it was so fantastic to have wonderful vendors including Aaron & Katie.
Now to the quality of our photos - they did not disappoint! Again we received our photos in a timely fashion and they were perfect! We loved so many of them!! I will say Aaron shoots in a very natural way which is exactly they style we wanted!
I would definitely recommend A Perfect Impression hands down! -

I had a TERRIBLE experience with API. My wedding was on April 11, 2010 at Eagle Ridge in Gilroy. I met with Aaron, loved his work, filled out the questions ahead of time, and I was prepared for my big day.....I guess he was not.
AARON NEVER SHOWED UP! He sent Ben? which no offense, was so unprofessional. He didnt know my name, he was late, he never took one straight shot photo of my dad and I walking down the aisle.
Not one picture with my mom or dad alone for the bride or groom. My pictures looked like "club" photos. Just the reception and dancing! So very sad.
Like the previous yelper he offered me a "do over" which is crazy. Is he going to offer to pay for my dress to be cleaned, make up artist, hair stylist, for family members to come back to town, tux rentals, etc. What a joke this guy is.
Stay far far away! -

We went with A Perfect Impression for our wedding on August 20, 2011 at the Wedgewood Banquet Center in San Ramon. Not only was API the recommended photographer, but we'd looked through sample photos and felt confident that they'd do a good job.
We were not disappointed. Our photographer, a guy named Mark, was professional, artistic, and personable. I really needed a nice person with a sense of humor to help me get through the day - it was beautiful and fun, but I was a bride in a lot of pain and that added stress to an already busy day.
Our photos are AWESOME. He took every photo we'd requested, and he was a talented photographer who ad-libbed and came up with his own creative shots.
Everyone I've dealt with through API has been incredibly kind and helpful. I love that they are a small local company.
I recommend API for everyone, for any event imaginable. They're awesome. -

When I was looking for a wedding photographer, I had my standards set pretty high. As someone with a bit of a background with photography, I knew exactly what I was looking for and API's portfolio looked fantastic. Aaron and Nancy seemed to get all of the important moments of our wedding and I couldn't be happier with the way our photos turned out. I've received some great feedback from friends and family and I've already recommended API to a few of our friends with weddings coming up.

I have had the pleasure of working with API both professionally and personally, and they are nothing short of fantastic! Aaron shot our family photos as well and he was so patient with our 1.5 year old son; we really had fun with our photo shoot! You can really tell Aaron takes a lot of pride in his work, and he captured my family's personality perfectly.
I have also worked in the wedding business for the past 7 years so I have worked with tons of photographers. They are notorious for being on their own timeline and having the own agenda, and completely messing up a timeline, but NOT API! All their photographers are extremely personable, kind and very flexible! You will not be disappointed when you hire API for any of the services they offer. You will not only get GORGEOUS photos, but they will aid in making your event PERFECT!!! -

My husband and I got married at Wedgewood San Ramon in November of 2009 and we had engagement pictures done in June of 2009. They both turned out wonderfully. I have a bunch of them framed all over my bedroom. We are very pleased by the work that was done by Aaron and his staff and we would not hesitate to recommend them to our friends and family.
Our DJ also did a great job! I've had a lot of people tell me that my wedding was the most fun they have ever had at a wedding before and that the music was excellent. -

We got married Jan 9, 2011 and hired A Perfect Impression for photo only.
I think Aaron does a really good job. The photos were really artistic - I looked through some of the reviews and saw complaints and it seems some people were looking for something more traditional - so you should definitely know that. A Perfect Impression isn't the "traditional" style.
But I thought that was pretty amazing, actually - my wife and I felt so comfortable in the photos, like they look really candid - like real moments. We looked at other photographers and we just didn't like the stilted, formal look.
Before our wedding day we did a lot of planning directly with A Perfect Impression and discussed the different locations we would use and the style we liked and Aaron and his staff was very accommodating and helpful with giving us a lot of ideas. I mean, this is your wedding, you should put a lot of effort into planning your wedding photos and we're so glad we did.
Also, we did the first look as well as the day after shoot - Really good idea! We were so pleased. We got so many more photos and artistic compositions than we ever could have if we just tried to do them all right after the ceremony. So if you go with Aaron and A Perfect Impression, I highly recommend going with the day after shoot or the first look and you'll get way more than you imagined you would.
Anyway - I'd say you should do your research and really look into what this company does. Their work is really impressive. -

It really does not get much better than API. My husband and I absolutely loved them. They gave us photos that were the exact style that my husband and I has asked for as well as photos that were so great that we never could have known to ask for them.
The photographers make you feel so relaxed and look so natural in the photos. They have a great eye!
In addition, we had a little mix up with the contract that was completely my fault. However, API resolved the issue for us depite it being my fault. They do great work and they are a very upright and honest company.
Finally, I know that when I first looked at the package prices, that I was a little intimidated by the costs. However, after doing some research, I realized that they certainly give you the most bang for your buck (not only in terms of quality, but also in everything included in the packages).
I can not recommend them too highly. They truned my perfect day into perfect photographic memories. -

Our wedding was May of 2009 at Wedgewood, Eagle Ridge in Gilroy. We met with Aaron at a convenient location a few months prior to discuss the style of our wedding and the types of shots we wanted. I was extremely impressed with his sample photos we saw that day, and the variety of options available for print - whether modern and funky, more traditional albums, or super contemporary magazine-style layouts. We opted for all the essential shots: family group photos, wedding party, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, cake cutting, first dance, bouquet toss, etc.
I was amazed by how professional Aaron and his staff were not only in the planning process (and quick with emails!), but on the day of as well. It was only until watching the video did we notice Aaron there taking photos of us during the ceremony - during the actual day of, we didn't even notice him, that's how non-intrusive he was. His shots were so stealthy, and turned out beautiful as well. I was blown away by close-up photos like me holding my husband's ring on his hand before putting it on him, that Aaron had gotten from far away. That kind of photo is touching and personal, what a truly unexpectedly beautiful result we got.
All the photos were artistically done - nice angles, great lighting, and we could not have been more satisfied!

We got married this past summer at Wedgewood/Eagle Ridge down in Gilroy and chose API as our photographers, as they were the preferred vendor for Eagle Ridge.
We were able to meet with Aaron beforehand and we were thankful for his sincerity. My wife has her own ideas about style (being a graphic design major in college) and Aaron was receptive and excited about some of the things she wanted to try with our photos.
We chose the Rome photo package - $2700, 2 photographers (7 hours each, with staggered start times), 3 locations, plus keeping the raw data files. According to our contract, we were also supposed to get 300 4x6 prints, 4 8x10 enlargements and 2 11x14 enlargements.
We also went with the Silver video package - $2395, 2 camera ceremony, single camera reception, 7 hours - since my wife really wanted a wedding video in addition to the photos.
On our wedding day, Aaron and John (IIRC) were both great, and really helped make taking all those pictures a lot more fun and relaxing. I didn't meet the videographer at all, though I assumed that he was doing his thing.
We got our photos within a couple months of the wedding at were very eager to see them. Overall, we got about 500 shots and the quality of the images was pretty good. My wife would have preferred a slightly different style to the photos, but to my untrained eye they seemed fine.
We got our video a few weeks later and popped it in the DVD player, looking forward to reliving our wedding day. The DVD was divided into 2 parts - "Love Story" and "Wedding Day". We started having misgivings from the start, as there was image pixelation and audio skipping even on the menu. "Love Story" was a video montage of our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception set to our first song. "Wedding Day" was actual video from our ceremony and reception. There was intermittent image pixelation and audio skipping during the montage and outside portions of the ceremony.
Maybe it was because of the outdoor ceremony and a somewhat breezy day, but audio quality suffered with a lot of wind buffering on the mic during our vows. I was a little sad that they had put in their own music during the procession, as we had specifically chosen non-standard processional music. It appeared that the entire ceremony was shot with 1 camera (not 2 like in the contract) - though honestly I'm not sure because I wasn't focusing on the video guys that day. Of note, there's a part of the video where I am beginning my vows and camera switches from over my shoulder to over my wife's shoulder... except in the middle of the switch there's a filler image of palm trees and the sky (the audio is intact).
The video of the reception was much better, as they caught our entrances, all the speeches, cake-cutting and my brother-in-law's backflip on the dance floor.
Aaron responded to my concerns about the video image quality, saying that it was likely due to an image stabilization layer they had tried to use. He offered to give us a replacement video (without the image stab) and also give us the raw video footage downloaded onto a portable hard drive.
We did get our new video (without the image pixelation and audio skipping) as well as the uncompressed video once the video guy returned from his sojourn to Paris.
We're happy with the memories we now have of our wedding day. The still photos were decent; we were pretty happy with those (minus artistic differences) and felt it was a fair deal. For video, I would argue otherwise - my wife still feels like it could have been a home video. We've since attended a wedding where the video of the afternoon ceremony was already edited and played at the dinner reception and the videographers did overhead shots and smooth tracking shots; all for the same amount of money that we spent.
That would all argue for 2 stars, but I'll bump them up an extra star for the customer service Aaron has shown, instead of just blowing us off after our wedding was over. -

I hate to be giving A Perfect Impression a bad review, but this is based on my experience with one of their DJs for my cousin's wedding. Please note, I don't know what my cousin's experience was during the planning process with this company, so my review is based on the wedding day at Wedgewood.
Okay...so I introduce myself to the DJ & he seems like a cool & laid back guy. He already has my cousin's cds & her music list & he had a the program. Everything goes well during the ceremony. The music is on point & he makes his announcements on time.
What pissed me & the other wedding coordinator off was how this DJ was always missing during the reception. We were a bit off schedule, which is normal for a wedding, so I told the other wedding coordinator to tell the DJ to start MCing & to introduce the maid of honor & best man for the speeches. He tells her that he knows about the time & he tells her that there's only 2 speeches & that he's a professional. (Let me remind you that we are already about an hour behind schedule & my cousin did not have the venue for too long.) ! If he told that to me - he would've heard a mouthful from me. It took forever to get him back to his "DJ booth." He was in the front of the venue, on his blackberry texting away.
Once the music started & the speeches were done, he left the DJ booth again & went back to the front of the venue & was stuck on his crackberry again. Grr!! The guest wanted certain songs played, but we couldn't find the DJ, so we ended up just going to his booth & looking at his laptop & changing the music ourselves.
If I really wanted a laptop to play the music, then I would've just saved my cousin some money & I would've brought my own laptop & played the music myself. I ended up telling my cousin (a few days after the wedding) about my frustrations. May 2011 we were married at wedgewood in rohnert park. Wedgewood suggested that we use " A Perfect Impression" for our wedding photos. I contacted them in January and spoke with Katie who was helpful with my questions and concerns as I was "new" to the whole wedding process being as this was my first. I signed a contract and we picked the Tuscany package. A week before our wedding I contacted Katie again just to make sure everything was all set. She said she couldn't find my "questionnaire" and needed me to redo it, she emailed it to me and I completed it. I had a few questions on this because there were certain shots my husband and I wanted for our special day she was helpful in explaining this process and that the photographer would be sneaking us away for some night shots at the reception. This never happened.
On the day of the wedding the photographer was not helpful in positioning people, my dress or flowers and often at the reception he was no where to be found. We did get our online photos back really quick but only to be disappointed in the quality of the pictures. In almost every picture a persons arm or body is cut off, when we spoke with the owner he told us thats the "style" of photography they do. He also said that when they edit their photos they tend to crop the pictures of the "heavyset" people to avoid them being to critical of themselves. This was so shocking to me. I also specified on the "questionnaire" since my husband and I were from a single parent home we wanted pictures of both our moms together on each side of us. There was one photo out of 540 that had our moms in it and my mom wasn't ready for the picture. When speaking to the owner with my concerns he seemed concerned and tried to offer us another photo shoot but basically at that point we wanted wedding photos and couldn't do that over. My husband also spoke with Aaron about a possible resolution and was told he would think it over and get back to us, that was 1 1/2 weeks ago.
At this point I am writing this review because I would like to let people know about our story and do your research before you decide who and what you want. I didn't know of different ways to take wedding pictures and that it mattered what size you are. Their wedding photography is NOT your traditional wedding photography. They don't focus on your flowers or your dress (which are important since you only wear those things for that day) Out of 540 photos I could only pick 10 that were just "ok". In reading the other reviews it seems like the other brides were contacted and shown examples of the "style" they use. This was never done in my case.
After writing this, we received an email from the owner of this company stating that we never "asked" our photographer to do night photos or what "style" we wanted him to do. In fact, I'm being told that the reason for the lack of creativity/quality was because we didn't give enough direction to the photographer, my family was not cooperative, and there wasn't enough time. Funny, because after finishing our bride and groom photos, we had about 15 minutes to spare. There is no sympathy from this company for not satisfying the client on a day that cannot be re-shot, instead just excuses and blame placed on us for not telling them how to do their jobs. If you are a photographer and getting married this may be a great company for you, but for the other 99% of us that see wedding photos and expect that that's what we're going to get, think again and do your research. Out of over 500 photos you only need about 20 to build a portfolio. That's only 4% of your photos being quality. If there was lack of information on a questionnaire, wouldn't you reach out to the client in the planning stage and say, "We should talk a little more about what you're looking for." This definitely didn't happen. Bottom line DONT use this company you will be sorry and after all its your wedding day and there are no re-shoots.
Funny how employees and their friends have to be the ones to write good reviews.

To reply to the owners comment. Again, only excuses and pettiness as to why a horrible company took poor photos. We received the questionnaire that he posted 3 days prior to our wedding. If they are saying it wasn't completed correctly, they should have contacted me for clarification. The email that contained this questionnaire stated that "if they had questions" they would contact me. This never happened. PLEASE look at the photos in the link that he posted and notice that peoples arms are cut out. Look for how many photos show a beautifully placed train or how many formal pictures there are in DIFFERENT places, not under one tree. Look for creativity. You wont find it. Bottom line, this company is a nightmare to work with and we are still being blamed for their lack of communication and professionalism. Aaron, Nancy, Katie, and the rest of the API team did a phenomenal job!!! My wedding was on June 25th this year and the API team went above and beyond the call of duty. My engagement photos, wedding photos, and video are all breathe taking. The quality of the pictures are amazing. The team are so creative, flexible and traditional. They can do anything and everything you would want. It was so much fun working with them. My husband and I had a blast. Thanks API!!!

After working with API in the DJ department for over a year now, they have shown true passion for what they do. There are countless hours of editing that takes place for the photo department. They use many techniques to perfect the finished product. They constantly break the mold and strive for excellence. The photos alone that they produce show true artistic skill. I highly recommend API for your event!

We hired API to DJ and photograph our wedding back in August. It is such a pleasure to work with these guys and it all starts with Aaron. He is the owner and he was my main contact person throughout the entire planning process of our big day. He is easy to talk to and really became our main party planner because he had so many ideas to offer us. He put together a time-line to help us get an idea of how things would flow on our wedding day. He made it all seem a lot less daunting and overwhelming, which was very helpful to us.
On the day of our wedding, Aaron came with Benjamin and they photographed our ceremony and reception as a team. The photos are AMAZING. I didn't know I could look that good. Who is that? Oh that's me! My wife and family all looked fantastic. These guys' ability to use various shooting styles (photo-journalistic, natural light, artistic posed, romantic posed) is impressive. I couldn't have asked for better pictures.
Our DJ was Jason and he was very professional. Having him stay in touch the weeks up to the wedding was important and I was very pleased with the amount of contact he maintained with me in organizing the songs, flow of the evening, etc. He came dressed to impress, spoke clearly and confidently on the mic and kept the night moving. What a great time it was.
I would definitely use A Perfect Impression again for another event, whether it be DJ, photography or both. They do studio shots in Danville too, so my wife and I might check them out for some Christmas photos. I am definitely impressed! -

This company is the one that provided the music entertainment for our daughter's Bat Mitzvah at Wedgewood in San Ramon. This is a new-ish company with Wedgewood and since we were doing a Bat Mitzvah instead of a wedding, Aaron, the owner followed up with me time and again to reassure and ensure that he was on top of the needs of the mostly teen guests.
Aaron communicated perfectly and had 2 DJ's working the party. Both guys were great and flexible. When the kids decided they wanted to dance and not do more games, no more games were done (no questions asked).
This company also provides photography, videography services along with DJ services. Fantastic service and fun! -

We interviewed some very expensive photographers out there that did not even come close to API's talent! And API is soooooo MUCH more reasonable. Although they are priced much less than others out there, it does not mean that they compromise on their QUALITY, because I was thoroughly pleased with ALL my photos! ( I wished I did my engagement photos with API, since I was do displeased with my engagement photos!).
As a testament to how dedicated they are, my photographer dove in for some really good shots and even tore his pants. I whole heartedly recommend API for your special day. As with many brides, your wedding day is one of the most precious days to capture. API really lived up to that expectation! -

Aaron & his staff made our wedding AMAZING & MEMORABLE. They captured the great love and energry of that day. I used too wonder why professional pictures take so long to arrive. But in just six weeks they sent us a wonderful album. We felt that every picture was taken and chosen with great care.
We also had the best DJ! The music was just right for the crowd. Our guest danced all night. Drew (?) kept the pace of the evening perfectly.
While the entire staff is obviously talented, as a bride, I felt the best quality of API was their preperation and attention to detail. They provided surveys for my husband and I to complete prior to our wedding day. The day of they knew exactly what pictures we wanted and what music we preferred. This led to less time handling details and more time with our family and friends on our wedding day. They were SOOO FAST and SOOO EFFICIENT.
I honestly can't say enough! Oh, the prices were extremely reasonable!!! -

A Perfect Impression was one our fabulous wedding vendors with Wedgewood Wedding and Planning in Oakland. They did a fantastic job with our lighting and sound. Not to mention excellent DJ and MC services. A Perfect Impression was exactly as it claims to be, near perfect.
We upgraded to a colored light package as well as a customized monogram of our wedding logo to be shown on the dance floor. The image came out flawless and I'm so glad Aaron helped us order the monogram just in time for the wedding.
Herman was an awesome DJ and played all the music we asked for. This company truly caters to you, consulting with you before the wedding making sure they get a feel of you and your style.

I think our DJ was Andrew...
He was the BESTEST EVER!!! My whole wedding was perfect but everyone keeps talking about the DJ. He had me cracking up the whole time. He kept checking on me to make sure I was ready for the next event AND he was very personable.
I think he picked up on the vibe of the crowd and just rolled with it. I wish every wedding I went to had a DJ this good. -

I hired A Perfect Impression as my photographers for both my engagement pictures and wedding and I am very pleased with the pictures. Ben took our engagement pictures and he was joined by Aaron on our wedding day. These two guys make a fabulous team!
They are flexibile, make you feel at ease, and most importantly, they know how to take great pictures! We had a mix of traditional and photojournalistic pictures and wow - I love them! -

5 stars does not give A Perfect Impression's photography justice!!!!!!!!! As you can imagine when a planning a wedding there are so many details and it helps when you are stressed out to have someone calm like Aaron helping you make critical decisions!!
Before taking pictures we had a in-person consultation where we discussed budget, expectations, photography visions, etc.
From there we had Ben who is excellent by the way shoot our engagement pictures which were so great we ended up using them for our save the date!! The flexibility that this company had was unreal the day following our Sunday shoot Ben and Aaron had already uploaded the photos for us to view and choose so that we could get our wedding save the dates out in the mail because they knew we were running behind schedule.. Now that's service..
Then came wedding day.. For starters my wedding was outside at a golf course in Pittsburg, CA at the end of September, and was approximately 103 degrees that day as well. Between the dress, hair and makeup I was terrified of how my pictures would turn out. My ultimate fear was that I would look like a hot sweaty drag queen (no offense).. But when the pictures came back we were so impressed you couldn't even tell that we were dying of sweat under our clothes!!! We have a huge canvas wedding picture of us in our house that everyone always comments on how much they love it
I've already recommended two of my friends to this company and am telling you they are the way to go. Ask to see their portfolio and the variety of poses, locations and people they capture. It's truly amazing!!! -

We got married June 19th, 2010. We chose A Perfect Impression as our photographers. They are so great! I would not have gone with anyone else. They are so helpful and great at what they do. They have many talented photographers two of which we were blessed to have, Betty Andronie and Catherine Bettis.
We received exactly what we wanted and more! We were able to meet with Betty ahead of time so she could look at the lighting in order to be prepared for the big day. Betty shot our wedding formals and our first look. She is so creative, makes you feel confident and comfortable.
Catherine shot our family formals and captured all of the fun we had at our reception. She too is very creative. We chose to only have one photographer at the reception and she seemed to have captured everything!
They had sort of a challenge with the lighting since our wedding started at 1pm. We took most of our pictures beforehand which meant harsh lighting. They both were conscious of the lighting and worked around it. We don't have shadows on our faces and nobody looks washed out. They really know what they are doing. I would recommend API to anyone. They did such a great job and we are so pleased with our photos. -

Our venue, Wedgewood in San Ramon, provided the DJ for our wedding as part of their services. This is the company that the venue has picked to work with to provide DJ services. Since the price was included in our venue express, I can't comment on that. However, I'll discuss the quality of the service we received.
Our only contact with the company in general was through filling out and updating our music questionnaire. We promptly received verifications from the staff that our questionnaire or update was received. They were also patient with our turning the questionnaire in late. Their replies to our email inquiries were quick. The questionnaire itself was complete and we liked that we could save it to return to it later. We also specifically asked what type of cd to provide to the DJ to ensure all our favorite music was available.
A few days before the event our assigned DJ, "DJ Jason" called us. He had gone over everything we'd selected and wanted to verify or find out if there was anything additional. At the event our DJ was provided the music cd via our venue. However, despite it being in the requested format, the songs couldn't be played and had to be converted to a different format first. This took considerable time, although we were happy that the DJ was savy enough to be able to do this. Meanwhile, he played songs from our mix that he already had. He did a good job of selecting songs and similar songs to ours before our cd begun playing. I also applaud him for bringing everything and not being dependent on the promised cd. However, it was frustrating that the format they requested wasn't what they needed in the end.
We were happy with our DJ's interactions with us, keeping us informed of everything, his ability to pick and play suitable dance music, his "reading" the crowd's music preference and mood, his announcements, general leading of events (toasts, bouquet toss,...), and timing in keeping the event moving along, but still consulting us on when we were ready for things to happen. We experienced no problems with the music system, microphones, volume, sound quality,.... They didn't even make that horrible shrieking sound at all. Our DJ took guest music requests and was always at the DJ podium giving our event his full attention. This DJ was fun to work with and knowledgeable about music and how to select it for a particular audience. Overall, we were satisfied with DJ Jason's service, expertise, and professionalism. We'd be happy to work with him again. -

Aaron Texeira and his assistant did our wedding photos at Wedgewood banquet center in San Ramon. They were very nice to me and my guests. But best of all was the wedding photos...Some really amazing shots! I didn't expect so many to come out perfect, but they did!

We got married at the Crystal Springs Golf Course in Burlingame and chose A Perfect Impression as our photographers. They were, to say the least, the perfect choice for us and we loved them from start to finish!!
Aaron was fantastic. We met with him beforehand so that he could get a feel for our personality and what style we like. In addition to the traditional posed shots, we wanted a lot of shots that used natural light, back light and shallow depth of field as well as good candids.
The day of the wedding went really smoothly. His team was extremely professional and talented. Luckily, the weather was just right and the lighting was beautiful. They did such a good job of capturing the beauty of the day. We are so happy with our pictures and all of our family and friends were blown away by them. We have an incredible variety to choose from. He really gave us what we wanted and much much more. We just can't say enough good things about them. We highly recommend API!! -

This review is only for the DJ portion of API. I knew a photographer personally so I hired him for our wedding, although I think all the pictures I have seen from API are beautiful.
I got married at Wedgewood San Ramon on 1/16/11. I am a teacher & planned most of my wedding last summer. When reading about the DJ services that came with our Gold Package I learned that the DJ would give me a call two weeks before our wedding and that I should fill out some paperwork & send it in about three months before the wedding. This made me very nervous. The DJ is one of the most important parts of the reception & just putting off hearing from him until two weeks before wasn't an option for me. I called Aaron (the owner) once & did not receive a call back. I then emailed him and got a quick response. I would say email is the way to go with Aaron. I asked if my fiance & I could meet him this summer. For no extra charge Aaron met with us for at least an hour. He walked us through how the wedding would go & told us that the DJ would prefer us not to provide lots of our own music & music choices. This made sense to me, they are the professionals! So most of my paperwork said "DJ choice". We did not meet with OUR DJ because that would have been an extra $50. Aaron explained that most DJs have other jobs and this would be a fee for them to come in & meet with us. That also made sense to me. Plus, I totally trusted Aaron after I met him. I know that he would never have a DJ work our wedding unless he represented API well.
Our DJ was Jason. He was relaxed, while also seeming to be excited about our wedding. He was wonderful, we both really liked him & would definitely request him again if we ever have another event that requires a DJ. I would not hesitate to recommend him.
Wonderful things:
Jason called me two weeks before. He had a very calming phone presence which I really needed at that time.
He really pumped up the crowd. One of my favorite memories of the entire night was when the parents, bridal party...and then we were introduced. The ENERGY of the crowd was so amazing and I know he was behind that energy.
The wedding was SEAMLESS! It went so well, just clicked along. He is the one that controls when things happen.
All the music he picked was PERFECT. I'm so happy I wrote "DJ choice" on a lot of the options. He really knows how to read a crowd!
The reason I didn't give 5 stars (wish I could give 4.75) is because of the following:
Aaron did not answer a few of my calls (email him)
Jason did not do a "Bridal Party" dance or a "Wilson" dance like I requested. HOWEVER, the acoustics in Wedgewood are not great. If I was at the back of the reception room or in the bar it was hard to understand him. I kept saying, "What did he say?" (and then someone would respond, "I don't know.") So, he may very well have done both of those dances and I just didn't hear him.
I honestly do not know why I couldn't understand him if I was in the back of the room. Was it because of Jason, the equipment he used, the room? I am a bit disappointed about that. I have been to weddings before where I could not understand the DJ & always thought that if I picked someone good that it wouldn't be a problem for me. Oh well. My wedding was wonderful & I know Jason had a lot to do with that. -

A Perfect Impression DJ, Herman Turincio did an outstanding job for our staff holiday party/dance! He worked with me on my ideas, added some of his own, and the folks attending were raving about how wonderful he was! We had a timed agenda and he is so easy going and willing to make the event a success the way you want it. We heart Herman and A Perfect Impression!

I cannot tell you how happy we have been with the final results and performance of the entire API staff. They have bent over backwards to answer our questions and could not be more judicious in making sure my son's wedding was just as he wanted it. Aaron and Katie were our photographers at the Wedgewood San Ramon site. Still, several months after the wedding they have been just as pleasant and accommodating which does not happen very often, after money has exchanged hands and the event has taken place. We recommend them highly. Thank you, Aaron and Katie!

We had Ken as a dj for our wedding last weekend and he was AWESOME!!! He really knew how to control and interact with the crowd (and ours was a little difficult, but seemed like a piece of cake for him). Many of the compliments we received regarding the wedding were about Ken, his great voice and the great job he did as MC. We started a bit late and Ken helped us get back on track and always checked in with us to let us know what was coming up next. Thanks Ken...you were GREAT and we are so happy we had you as a DJ/MC!!!
We also corresponded with Katie a few times and she was great as well and always provided excellent customer service...thanks Katie! -

DJ Kyle worked it out at our 10th wedding anniversary celebration on October 16, 2010!!! He reviewed our song list with me, he checked ahead of time and made sure he had all the songs we wanted, he also coordinated the playing of our wedding dvd simultaneously and flawlessly. He showed up early, dressed appropriately and prepared. He was friendly, personable, and wonderful to work with.
Our photographer was Katie, and she was just as good. She made sure we got the poses we wanted, she was fun, innovative, and inspiring. I can't wait to see the pics!!!
A Perfect Impression is a top-notch company, and we would definitely hire them again for future events!!! -

We used Perfect Impression last week for our wedding and we were very pleased. Throughout the process their communication and response time was very impressive!! Betty was our photographer and she was amazing. She seemed to get shots of everything without ever being in the way. She made sure all the request photos were taken and she was a real sweetheart!!!!!! We haven't seen the proofs as of yet, but I am looking forward to it!!!!

My family loves "A Perfect Impression". We have worked with Aaron for many years of family portraits and have never been dissapointed. Over the years Aarons style has changed but only for the better in my opinion. We have given many reccomendations for A Perfect Impression and if we could redo our wedding we would have no problem deciding who to use. We feel blessed to have found such talent and such an artist, and we hope he never relocates because we plan on hiring Aaron for all 3 daughters weddings and every important occassion there after.

We just had our wedding this past weekend and I cannot begin to explain how happy I am with A Perfect Impression! We contracted them for DJ, photography and videography services. I was so nervous that with all the details of the wedding that it would not go smoothly or there would be problem. Everything went absolutely perfectly with out one single hitch! Aaron had MCed for us while Kyle Djed. Everything was right on time and ran so smoothly. The music was AMAZING and my guests were on the dance floor all night long! It was a great mix of music for all age groups and our friends had an absolute blast. Mark shot the photos, which we have not seen yet, but he had also done our engagement photos and we were beyond thrilled with them so I am sure our wedding photos will be outstanding as well. A Perfect Impression was a HUGE part of make our wedding perfect and we cannot say enough about them!!
