Cute little shop, owned and run by people that really know their stuff. Very caring, down to earth people that are passionate about the services they provide. Will be going there from now on! Very happy with how much you've helped with little JoJo ;)

Unfortunately, I had a really bad experience here... i dont remember who i talked to but  I asked her if she had any natural remedies for fleas as we wanted an alternative for regular flea medication.

She proceeded to tell us that regular flea medication is bad for dogs and it causes the dog severe damage, I get it, she cares but thats the whole reason we were there to find a better alternative.... then she gave us a lecture about how fleas are bad and that its best to get our home professionally fumigated.

Sorry but i dont need to be lectured about taking care of my dogs, the whole reason i was there was to find a better alternative, but her attitude was condesending and patronizing, I will not be coming back here any time soon.

This review is long overdue. I've been bringing my two yorkies to Paw-Fect World for the past four years. Suzanne does a great job bathing and cutting their hair/fur. After they're groomed, their fur smells really good and their coats are really nice and shiny for a good week.
The only negative things are the price and time. I spend about $90-$100 for two yorkies (their only about 7-10lbs each).  Also, it takes an entire day whenever I bring them in. I usually bring them in around 9:30am on Saturdays and they're not done until 4pm. I guess beauty takes time?!

Shelley, the founder of Noah's Bark Rescue of Manhattan Beach recommended that I see the folks at a PAW-fect World.

To make a long story short, I pulled a dog out of Carson Shelter on January 2, 2009 while dropping a truckload of donations. The dog developed kennel-cough which didn't get better and turned into a fever. The vet at VCA Hermosa gave him all kinds of anti-botics and shared our concerns that the dog may be "DISTEMPER" and could not help us. Well, if you know about Distemper, you know it has no cure. It's like doggie Aids where it attacks your immune system until the dog seizures.  When dogs become feverish, this is the concern. It is the FEVER that differentiates the symptons from just plain old Kennel cough. No Fever usually means Kennel cough. Fever is a red flag for something worse....

Distressed, I made a trip to Paw-fect World.

The caring owner gave me a contact to call that worked with many rescues and Distemper cases. With her help, we decided that the dog may just have pneumonia.  This news gave me a lifeline of hope.

I purchased several natural herbal tonics from Paw-fect World, all natural homeopathic medicines to strengthen my dog's immunity system.  She also gave me a  supply of Vitamin C and powdered milk at no charge because she knew the dog was homeless and under my foster care. I also bought some eye and nose drops to clear up the congestion and runny nose. I spent about $40.

It has been 3 weeks. My dog is fully recovered with NO signs of Distemper! He was sick for about 5 weeks total. His fever finally went away a few days after I started the herbs, and his appetite came back too. His chest and nose congestion cleared slowly until it was completely gone. I could tell after a few days, that my dog was breathing easier.

Thank YOU Paw-Fect World for all your advice.  My dog, BRIX thanks you too!  He is a happy dog now and ready to be adopted to a loving family.

If anyone is looking to feed your pets RAW diet, please come and talk to the folks here. They know RAW Food.

If you have a sick or terminally ill pet or pet with cancer, RAW Food is recommended because raw is easier for an animal's body to digest. This is less taxing on your pet's major organs, which often becomes comprised with terminal illnesses.

WOW....I'd give even more than 5 stars if I could, and y'all know I almost NEVER go there!!!  ;P

This store is seriously amazing!  Do NOT judge it on appearance, this place is not about looks, it is about super-great quality, goodness, & love.  The ladies here are sooo awesome and know so much about everything related to natural pet care/nutrition.  They have really helped turn around what I thought about nutrition & care for both my pets and my own self.

I can not stress enough how important an ALL NATURAL, HUMAN-GRADE, RAW-MEAT (preferably organic, humanely grown, cage-free, etc.) diet is for your pets, most especially your cats!!!  I have both my boys on it and although it has not always been easy (1 absolutely loved it from the start, the other likes it but is still adjusting) I truly believe it is SOOO worth it.  Just watching them eat what should come naturally to them and what their species has thrived on for the past few thousands of years (if you don't include the Smilodon genus, ie. Sabre-tooth tiger, etc... if you do, then you can consider that about 2.5 million years) is such a joy.  Seriously, I know I may go a bit overboard on a lot of things, but you try just once watching your dog or cat eat raw meat vs. dry kibble and you may be 1/2 way to being a raw "feedie" yourself!  If you need any convincing at all after that, just look into a book called "Food Pets Die For" by Ann N. Martin.  OMG!!!  Seriously, this WILL change your life!

I can not recommend this place (not only is it a store, but also a groomers & rescue headquarters!) more highly.  They are a wealth of knowledge and one of those few 2% of people/companies that I find nowadays that are not out to scam you or rip-you off and take your money.  Their food is not over-priced/inflated and they care more about the health of your pets, and for you to return and maintain that health, than they do about lining their own pockets.

PLEASE, if you love your pets (any & all types) give "A Paw-fect World" a chance by just stopping by.  You may just turn into a crazy preaching convert like I have....but at the very least, you have taken 1 step further in trying to obtain the best for your pet.

Ask for Audrey or Susan and keep your mind open...  You will NOT regret it!!!  :)

Spoil your fur-kids rotten? Feel that pet food companies have made a killing (literally) on overpriced crap-in-a-bag? Well this is the store for you! This is not what you'd expect from a pet store sitting in the middle of Torrance in an ugly strip mall on Crenshaw. Sure it's not much to look at from the outside, but inside all you'll find is a huge selection of raw foods (Bravo, Primal, Nature's Variety, etc.), healthy treats, and holistic supplements for your dogs and cats. They do carry a few canned foods but the majority of their merchandise is geared to raw feeders. They also run a brisk business in grooming, and always have a few adoptable cats/kittens lounging lazily around the store. No mill pets here!

Walked right in and was very surprised to see how no frills this store really is.  It's not necessarily a bad thing, but I'm used to seeing small boutique shops stuffed to the brim with all sorts of things that are and are not useful for pets.  Let's start with the positives.

Met a woman Audrey who I think owns or co-owns the place.  She loved my scotties and paid them lots of attention.  Always like to see that the people who work in pet stores love to meet pets and shower them with attention.  You'd think that'd be a given, but it's often times lacking.  Audrey and the rest of the people working there were more than happy to answer my questions about raw food and why it's a better substitute to commercial dog food, even the best brands and why raw over cooked food.  I've heard it all before, but I like to test the knowledge of places I visit that tout themselves as pet food experts and see if they can offer up anything new I haven't thought of before.  I found Audrey to be very knowledgeable, definitely one of the better conversations I've had with someone about raw dog food.  The store is divided into two parts,  Grooming and freezers.  Seriously, there is barely anything else there.  It's an incredibly focused business model.  But their prices on raw food is amazingly low.  Probably the lowest I've seen in all the dog stores I've been to.  I didn't check out the grooming part. Oh and cat lovers should rejoice bc this store has tons of cats as well as bunnies in the store.

There's not much bad to point out.  Like I said it's an incredibly focused business model.  I could see how some might see it ridiculously so.  If you aren't buying what they're selling then this is not the store for you.  Don't come here expecting toys, clothes, or anything else you might find at a dog store.  The store also is not high on presentation.  It looks like they just moved in or are closing shop.  It's a little depressing looking.  But if it keeps prices low, I'm all for it and can easily overlook that.  While I thought Audrey had some good points on raw dog food, the conversation can turn to far out topics that are well outside the scope of  what I consider to be credible.  I won't go into detail, but there is a very different point of view that she has compared to mine on how the world works.  That's fine with me and I can focus on appreciating the good points, but I can see how some people may find it off putting.

But overall, I'd recommend coming here if you're in the area and are looking to feed your dog or cat a raw diet.

Best darn groomer this side of the Mississippi.  All the personnel are wonderful.  They have great technique especially when it comes to grooming poodles.  They also treat the dogs well.  When I was there my poodles competed in some dog grooming competitions.  Both my dogs got to be models there.  I even got a paw print autograph at Christmas.  They have raw food which is often hard to find.  They take dog care from a holistic approach.  They have a great selection of holistic products and a good knowledge of what to use with different diseases and/or symptoms.

Sometimes I think I spend more time and money on my furry friends then I do on myself but watching them in the backyard right now and the laughs I'm getting are well worth it.  That being said I feed both my dogs and cats raw food and this is the place I go to.  The ladies are great and they do a fabulous job grooming and they foster animals and run Darma's rescue.  Why would I give my money to anyone else when I can see the great end results with the animals they help.

Excellent place to learn about the raw food diet. The staff is very informative and helpful. You will learn from Mary and Audrey that processed dry and can food is like serving your animal McDonalds everyday. Our cat has never looked healthier and happier. Call them or visit them to learn more!

Wow!! Just read the recent negative post .  I feel bad that person didn't take to heart everything the good folks from A Paw-Fect World said.  When I went to them for advice on flea control they told me the same thing.  I followed their advice and my home and yard is 99% free of fleas.  No treatment will ever get rid of fleas 100% by the way.  But if you just listen to their advice you get the results you want!  Sometimes you just have to put aside your preconceived notions on what you think and follow someone-else's advice. Also their raw food diet is outstanding and their experience on using holistic remedies is outstanding.  On a side note, I first met Audrey and Susan when my dog was diagnosed with an untreatable cancer.  They put him on the raw diet immediately and along with other holistic remedies.  My dog lived out the rest of his days feeling great, which was my whole purpose.  It wasn't to prolong his life but to make the days he had left as pleasant as possible.  So my opinion is just do what they say, and you will be happy!  One last note, as for anyone in that store being patronizing or condescending, not a chance!  They are passionate about what they believe in and they will be straight with you, if that's what you are looking for then A Paw-Fect world is the Perfect place for you!!

I love this place, they are so well informed on the products, vitamins and care.  My dog loves the food and the vet always says he looks great and so healthy.  I have referred many friends and have seen it help their health.  One of my friends had so many issues with allergies, digestive issues and so much more she finally cried uncle.  She went to Pawfect and was given the info and the tools she needed and her dogs and cat could not be happier!  These people are in business for the love of animals and now they are a rescue group named dharma rescue, which I am always happy to donated to as a thank you for all they have done for my boy!  Thanks ladies!!!

I had heard about a raw food diet on Oprah and how good it was for dogs and was immediately interested. Then one day I was sitting in traffic on Crenshaw blvd when I looked to my right and there I saw A Paw-Fect World, I decided what better opprotunity than that to go in and see what it was all about. I got a lot of information from the ladies there and she was so passionate and eager for my dog to give it a try that she gave me free samples. Anyone who has a dog on this diet knows that they absolutely LOVE it and for my dog the transition off kibble wasn't even a transition at all, HE WAS HOOKED. Every since then my chihuahua (Gordy) has been on a 100% natural diet and we couldn't be happier with it. He was also addicted to rawhide which we now supplement and give him all natural trachaes, which he loves as well. I cannot stress how much I love this place and how lucky I am to have found it, it really is one of a kind I dont know of any other place like it and the ladies that work here are informative and passionate about their cause.
