A One Nails

Went to get a quick eyebrow done for my birthday. And I am NOT happy at all. The owner did them and butchered them. When I pointed out how she messed them up, (they not even, and weren't properly shaped) she then said well they were thin! How ?? When I have natural thick eyebrows and hadn't had them done in a month. Instead of trying to fix them she tried to convince me that I was seeing things incorrectly. Poor customer service and at the end of the day learn to apologize and if you do not know how to do something just say it!! Don't take a client just to get $10 and then leave them unhappy. It's not fair to your business or the customer.

Today we went for a manicure and pedicure at A1 Nails in Elmwood Park at 7230 w north Ave. it's nestled in a strip mall but worth the search. We were treated like royalty. My technician Loundy was awesome, she took her time and made me feel relaxed and did an awesome job.

I wasn't sure about this place based on reviews, but both my husband and I love it. They do a great job - especially on my husbands feet which are more than a bit rough as he stands for works. They are great with us and we see no racism which have experienced other places in the past. No it's not a luxury salon where they are waiting on you but it's a great price. There's is a water cooler where you can get your own water- for free. I also believe you can get bottled water but I'm not sure if there's a fee. I have seen customers come back the next day after their manicure and expect them to fix it. They will fix if it's smeared but chipped or broken they will not (and I don't think they should). They do take appointments so you don't have to wait as long. As a reminder, please tip appropriately for your service.

I cannot stress enough how you should not waste your time or money here. They are very difficult to communicate with. I went in with my friend and my 75 year old mom. They were not even acknowledging us as we spoke to them. They were rushing thru our pedicures. Definitely didn't feel the spa like feeling one should have getting their nails done. They have limited colors to choose from and overall lacked any understanding of customer service and treating customers with respect. Don't waste your money! If you want to enjoy yourself and relax this isn't the place. Horrible service. If I can select zero stars I would.

Wow! Terrible. I told her they were sloppy and she said "that's just your nails" lol clearly it's all over my cuticles. What a waste of money and time.

The only reason you should ever go here is if you need a cheap manicure or pedicure. Do not come here if you are looking for a great experience or customer service. I very rarely give out one star reviews but I was seriously dissatisfied with how I was treated at this establishment. I was waiting to have a manicure and decided to sit next to my friend while she has her acrylics done. I placed five different nail polishes at my station and waited for someone to start my manicure. I went up to grab some water and when I returned they sat some other lady in my seat. I would understand if all the stations were booked up and if that woman had an appointment, but they literally just bumped me out of my station and I had to sit back in the waiting section. I found it to be very rude how they executed that change in seating arrangements.
They did not offer water or aid in any other way than just performing the nail service. They do not go above or beyond. They will attempt to charge you extra for every single service. My friend thought her acrylics were okay but did not like how the woman hurt her fingers while the service was performed. If you need nails done on a budget and you don't care how you are treated, then this place may still work for you. But if you're looking for a good experience, check elsewhere.

Hours of Service on the door are until 6:30pm on Saturdays. I walked in and 5:55 today and before I could even get a greeting I made eye contact with 3 workers and one of them just said "we closed." All I wanted was a soak off for a gel overlay and cut down but before I could even request a service, I was denied. Maybe change your hours of service?? I def won't be back. If I could give no stars I would.

I had my nails done few times but last week will be my last. Lady who did my no chip did a sloppy job and then towards the end I saw her wiping the instruments with aided dirty towel and put them back in her drawer. That's when I realised that they don't sterilise their instruments from one customer to the next. I left totally disgusted and prayed I didn't get any infection. Do not go there.

I literally couldn't leave any faster. What a waste of $31. I came here for a pedicure and he was done in less than 15 min. Didnt clip my toes nails until i asked twice and only cut the ones he thought were long i guess which included only my big toes when they are ALL long. I literally still have sock lint in my toe nails because he literally did nothing!! He literally soaked my feet , rubbed them and slapped in a shitty polish job. I asked for a french pedicure and half my toes are white. Wtf. Never coming back. Stay away. I ll be getting them redone next weekend. The environment was dirty as well. The basket with the pedicure supplies looked disgusting. idk why i didnt just stop him and leave. Stay away. Beware. My french tip chipped on my toes the next day too! Horrible!
