I've done 5 tours with Fred over the past 5 years ( November will be the 6th ).
Fred does the best tours in town, bar none.
If you're a "woo-woo" girl and want to get in a limo and pound wine at a bunch of wineries, call barfly.. if you're serious about increasing your level of wine knowledge, meeting the real "insiders" in Oregon Wine Country, and having an absolute blast, then call Fred.
Every tour includes transportation, a Reidl Oregon Pinot Noir glass, visits to 3 or 4 wineries, a beautiful charcuterie plate at each winery and a great dessert plate at the last one, and all tasting fees and associated costs.
You'll get to meet the people who own the wineries and make the wine you're tasting... secret barrel tastings, lots of "hey, come over to this special barrel I've been working on, I want you to taste this".
In return, Fred asks that you're mature and approach this as a way to increase your wine knowledge and have fun at the same time ( just not falling down drunk fun ). He also requests that people purchase an average of one bottle for every two people at each stop ( for an average 12 person tour, that would be 6 bottles per stop, easily doable ). He doesn't get a cut of that, but it makes him very welcome at the wineries.. as the wineries don't charge for the tastings and they're not making wine just for the fun of it ( although it feels like that sometime ).

Meet the Business Owner: Fred G.
Fred's interest in wine sprung to life while pursuing a communications degree in San Francisco. A traditional university classroom and textbook wine education quickly lead to wine country opportunities.
Fred's extensive knowledge and appreciation for wine also comes from a long association with the Oregon wine industry where he is respected for being largely "self taught."
Extended visits to other wine making regions including France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Chile, Argentina and New Zealand have further expanded Fred's expertise.
While continuing to host very popular & entertaining wine country tours and recently celebrating his 600th tour, his "A Nose For Wine" wine education classes are considered the most comprehensive and relaxed and are enthusiastically referred by wineries. His educational wine tours were the first in the state and are always full and.....fun!
