A review for the retail shop and customer service...
Spot on.
I popped in looking for a suggestion on a new hairspray. The girl who assisted me was exceptionally helpful. She asked what I normally do to my hair and what I typically need hairspray for. Instead of conning me into an expensive bottle of something that may not work for me, she suggested buying a travel size to try.
THAT'S customer service.
I noticed they also have Aveda hair products and OPI nailpolish. One of the few places I know of in Oak Park that sells these two brands.
Note: Visa and Mastercard only. Amex not accepted here.
I very highly recommend Lenah for waxing. She's quick, does a great job and the pain was minimal. I have tried other places in the area and I definitely won't be going anywhere else from now on.
My bridal party and I went here to get hair done for my wedding a while ago. My hair turned out great and stayed up all day (to my surprise - as I was dissapointed in what felt like a half-done trial). But a few of my bridesmaids and my mom were very dissapointed in their up-does. My mom was the most upset--and righfully so. I still think about it everytime I walk by the shop.
After that experience, I cannot bring myself to go back even though I loved getting my eyebrows done there.
I found that I had an hour of time and decided to walk over and see if someone might be available for a wax. I was greeted by Tara who was really helpful and told me Carla was available. Holy geeze, Carla is amazing. From start to finish the process took about 15 minutes and it was definitely quick, but painful (as expected). I will definitely go back for my next treatment. Also I compared my story to some friends' and mine was faster and better priced than theirs.
This is my wifes favorite place to get her eyebrows and fingernails done. The prices are good compared to most other local places and the staff is really friendly. If you're a guy there are plenty of other stores nearby too so you can wander out and meet up later. I usually walk to the Book Table on Lake.
