I will never be able to do justice to the amazing-ness that is May Wyatt and Kate Coble. The beginning of our wedding planning was stressful, to say the least...but the first time that we met with Megan (owner) and May about working with them for day-of wedding coordination, my mother, fiance and I all breathed a huge sigh of relief. May was always available to answer planning and etiquette questions and her helpful replies were always so speedy. Having an expert there to help through the planning process took away all the doubt and concern and just allowed us to enjoy being engaged and planning our big day! As the wedding got closer and closer, she even took the vendor contracts off my plate, contacted each of them with their arrival times and supplied us all with a detailed schedule of the wedding day. She thought of everything.
May and Kate's help and expertise at the rehearsal and the wedding were priceless. My mom and I have talked about how different the wedding would have been if we didn't have them there and we are just so thrilled that we made the choice to work with A Kurant Event. The day would have been filled with work and worrying about details if we hadn't had May and Kate there to help us. We didn't have to worry about a thing the entire day. May was there to ensure that everything went smoothly, and she did it so beautifully. Even when there was a last minute change of plans with the timing and order of our toasts, May ensured that everyone knew exactly what was going on at all times and the toasts went perfectly!
I know a lot of brides that have things they would change about their wedding days, things that went wrong or didn't turn out as planned. I don't have any of those. For me, my husband, and our families, our wedding was perfect. We owe all the ladies of A Kurant Event a huge 'Thank You' for that. No matter how much planning or work I put into the wedding, the day would not have been what it was without them. I couldn't have asked for lovelier ladies to share my wedding day with and I would absolutely recommend A Kurant Event to any bride! -

I wanted to surprise my girlfriend with a public proposal but didn't know how to go about it..searched yelp reviews and found this..contacted Megan and she was amazing! She took my ideas of what I wanted and ran with it..when I ran outta ideas..she was able to give me advice, throw in some of her ideas and was super supportive and thoughtful. I"m not sure if there is a actual proposal planner business out there but if there was...Megan is the one I recommend to help you out. I had 20 or so friends who witnessed/participated in my proposal, all who were quite impressed with the event ( made me look like a superstar). Bottom line..if you need a event planned..any kind of event....get Megan at A Kurant Event!! I will be using her again.

So I'm the girl that got proposed to by the guy in the review right below this one :) LUCKY ME! I had no idea it was happening that night. I knew it was coming soon but was not prepared for what was about to be the most amazing night of my life...so far. My girlfriends had "planned" a girls-night-out to celebrate Christmas but what acutally had happened is Jayson worked with Megan to orchestrate the whole night. From the girls-only cocktail hour to the secret admirer paying for our drinks (Jayson) to the magician who I thought was just an old college friend of one of my girlfriends to the jingle bells on pink ribbon to Jayson on one knee asking me to be his wife, the entire night was perfect and flawless. Megan and her business did an amazing job and I am so happy that Jayson was able to work with them. I will definately check them out for the upcoming wedding planning.

As a serious control freak and frequent event planner myself, it was a major moment in the wedding planning process when it became clear I needed help. I had planned far too many DIY details and was quickly becoming overwhelmed with the logistics.
We hired Megan as our Day-of-coordinator, but she was a major help even in the months prior to the wedding. She checked in frequently to make sure I was maintaining my sanity, and in the weeks leading up the wedding posed logistical questions that I hadn't even considered, gave suggested solutions, vendor recommendations, and helped keep me on task.
Our 'getting ready,' ceremony, and reception locations were fairly spread out (Medina, Wallingford, Cap Hill) and Megan and her assistant handled the set-up of each location seamlessly. I have a difficult time delegating, but Megan did a fantastic job taking over right when I needed her to! She managed our many DIY details (making our own bouquets from farmers market flowers, a pie bar, assembling a balloon garland at the park) just to name a few. In addition to set-up Megan helped to mitigate a situation with our reception location, orchestrated the ceremony flawlessly, and relieved me of all stress regarding the details of the day.

Let's get straight to the gushing: Megan is spectacular!! Super organized, thoughtful, a creative visionary, and steady support (not to mention super fun and hilarious)!
I started my quest to plan my own wedding in early 2010 and realized that, being an anxiety-prone control freak, I should probably seek some assistance. I found Megan Keller & A Kurant Event while link surfing through a wedding website. I immediately checked her out on Yelp, loved the reviews, and promptly set up a meeting. Loved this woman right away! She was so friendly, listened to me carefully, took notes, and proceeded to explain how she could help me, what my options were, and the prices. I loved it! Get straight to the point, and let's do this thing!
Needless to say, I hired Megan and she worked with me step-by-step to put together a wedding and reception that exceeded my husband's and my dreams. All the while, keeping us on schedule and on track. The day of, especially, was so stress free - she took care of everything and I was able to fully enjoy the best day of my life.
I highly recommend hiring Megan for your wedding planning needs, especially for the day-of, if not the whole shebang - she's totally worth it! -

We just got married, and Megan did a wonderful job of attending to the details of our wedding. I hired Megan because of her broad experience working with large budgets and small budgets alike, and her vast experience in negotiating and attending to the details of event contracts. She exceeded our expectations in these areas from her first day working with us, and helped our wedding go smoothly in some many other ways as well.
In all reality, our wedding (a local destination wedding) would have been basically a full working day for me and my family if we hadn't had Megan.
But, it isn't just about the day of the wedding. Prior to this, Megan handled details months before, making life for all of us much easier.
With our wedding, Megan was tasked with a hard job of working out some sticky contract issues with our first venue, and when those went south, finding us a perfect new venue on the same date, four months from the date of our wedding. She did it, and managed to deal with a sticky situation in the best way possible.
Megan is a consummate professional. She is focused on making sure her client is content with the way things are going, even if that means the plans change a bit.
With every wedding, after the fact, there are always things that the bride and groom wish went differently. Don't get me wrong - we still have a few - but all with other vendors or details related to the wedding.
Everything Megan was in charge of turned out well - we would highly recommend her to brides of all budgets - she will make your day all it can possibly be. -

I just recently got married in January and used Megan and A Kurant Event for my entire planning and day of. What a blessing! Organization and creativity are not my strong points and yet the wedding turned out to be the most amazing event I have ever seen. The praise and response I received from those that attended was remarkable.
Megan kept me focused and on track without overwhelming me or stressing me out at all. She was there for every random question, idea, thought, etc. She gave me her opnion in a constructive way when I was stuck between decisions and helped me feel confident in my decisions.
The wedding day was stress-free and perfect. I didn't have to think about a thing. Somehow I barely even noticed all the work and detail going on behind the scenes because it was executed so smoothly and professionally. My father is a tough, tough critic and was blown away by Megan's work ethic. I could not have asked for a more awesome planner to work with. We developed an awesome working relationship in which I was comfortable going to Megan with any concerns or thoughts I had. She introduced me to the most amazing vendors and made sure I got to see a variety of what was available to me.
I can't truly write how thankful I am to Megan and A Kurant Event for being a part of my wedding day. What an exceptional company and owner! -

Party planning is stressful!
I learned this immediately after I was given the assignment to plan a Moroccan themed dinner party for my CEO. I didn't know what to do, where to start or how to even ask for help.
I'm sooo glad I found Megan. She magically made everything happen!
Despite not having much time to plan, several last minute changes and having to hear instructions via email from three separate people (often completely different instructions!), she balanced everything with poise and grace. She is an organizer, a menu planner, a decorator, an errand gal, a price negotiator and incredibly creative.
In the end, she planned a fantastic event - keeping me completely in the loop the entire time. Most importantly, my guests were happy. I would definitely use her services again the future and recommend her highly.

She did a phenomenal job!
She was completely focused on providing the bride with the best day possible. When she finished one task she was off to take care of the next; a literal blur of motion the whole day. Extremely professional, friendly and great to work with. -

I had a pleasure to work with Megan this past weekend at a wedding, and I highly recommend her service to anyone looking to get married. The wedding was beautiful and everything went smoothly. I can see Megan put a lot of time into this wedding. Her professionalism really impressed me(exceptionally detailed, prompt in response, and well-prepared.). Furthermore, she has a GREAT attitude.

I worked with A Kurant Event when planning a company ship party. I am glad we hired a planner, Megan took care of every last detail and even thought of a few things to spice up the party without us blowing our budget. I work for a small technology company with fun young people, so we were looking for high ROI on the fun/$ scale. Megan did a great job meeting this requirement. They also do weddings, I wish I had used them for my wedding as it was a pain in the ass without a planner.

my best friend just got married and used meghan's services. everything about the ceremony and reception was beautiful and amazing, and a lot of that was due to meghan's hard work. she made my job as a maid of honor much easier, was easy to contact throughout the planning, showed up to the rehearsal the night before, and was there every step of the way on the big day. because of meghan, the wedding party was able to relax about handling the details on the big day and could relax and focus on enjoying the wedding!
i know that sometimes event coordinators/wedding planners get cut out of wedding budgets early on as an unnecessary cost, but A Kurant Event's rates were very reasonable and worth every penny. -

We used Megan as a "day of planner" for our April 24th wedding and she was amazing. She wrote schedules, confirmed vendors, reviewed contracts, attended our rehearsal and generally made sure everything was running smoothly, waaay beyond our expectation of a day of planner. Her price packages were very reasonable and she went above and beyond the call of duty while being super helpful, friendly, and organized. Literally, the best deal of our wedding.
