When we discussed officiants, we didn't like the idea of having a stranger marry us. It just didn't feel right to have someone we hardly knew do something so personal. We thought about asking a friend to become ordained and marry us, but we didn't have a friend that knew both of us well and that we felt comfortable asking. We didn't have a wedding coordinator, so we knew we wanted an officiant with experience.
Pat was recommended to us by our flower vendor so we went and chatted with her. She was so gentle, understanding, and wanted to work with us. My one hesitation was that she was soft-spoken, and I worried that wouldn't mesh with my personality when I get worked up and excited about something. Her experience and attention to detail outweighed my hesitation, and we hired her. I'm glad we did, because I was wrong about us not meshing!
For the ceremony, Pat gave us a Word document with tons (TONS!) of different ceremony text to choose from. We both highlighted what we liked and worked with Pat to put it all together. She worked with us to changed wording that didn't feel right to us. When we met with her to discuss the ceremony she asked us about how we met, what we liked about each other, and what we wanted for the future together. She did a great job taking our answers and incorporating them into the ceremony in a personal-but-not-too-much-information way. We don't practice any religion, but my husband's family does, and we wanted to honor them by including a prayer in our wedding ceremony. I asked Pat if such a thing as a non-denominational prayer existed, and she sent us several to choose from. We were happy to be able to honor his parents in a way that we felt comfortable with.
Pat also organized the order our bridesmaids & groomsmen stood in, exactly how the groomsmen walked the bridesmaids down the aisle and got to their places, and the easiest way for my husband and I to put our wedding rings on our fingers! Little details like that matter! I've been to weddings where the couple struggles to smash the wedding ring on the other's finger and it's awkward for everyone. She also taught our ushers the best way to get guests seated. Per her suggestion, we had our parents sit on opposite sides (than tradition calls for) during the ceremony, so that my parents could see my face and my husband's parents could see his face, rather than our backs. That was a great idea that we never would have thought of ourselves. Pat ran our rehearsal and we practiced a few times so that everything went smoothly and we all felt confident going into the big day.
We can't tell you how many of our guests told us how much they loved our wedding ceremony, and assumed she had known us for years! I feel that most guests come to weddings for the reception, so it was really rewarding to hear that the ceremony was enjoyable too.
In addition to having her officiate our wedding, we also took her 'couples consulting' courses. We weren't sure we *needed* it, but we figured since we'd never been married before, it couldn't hurt! We were glad we took the courses; she gave us some helpful ideas and tricks for successfully communicating with each other, and some hints for remembering to breathe and enjoy our wedding day.
We were thrilled with our experience with Pat and can't thank her enough for her work. We highly recommend her! -

I could not have asked for a better experience when it came to planning our wedding ceremony with Pat Stimac of A Heavenly Ceremony.
Because my Husband and I aren't religious at all but still wanted a meaningful, unique and thoughtful ceremony we found it hard finding an Officiant who met our needs.
When we met Pat and Kent we both knew that we had found the right people for us. They met with us for an hour or two getting to know us and answering our questions then we had a one on one meeting with Pat to plan our ceremony, Pat gave us a resource guide with samples of ceremonies and readings which helped us create our one of a kind wedding,
At the rehearsal Pat took charge and made everything go smoothly as well as making our families feel welcomed and a part of the day.
She definitely calmed our nerves the day of and kept everyone in check, all in all she made my day wonderful. -

Absolutely the nicest people to work with!
They are priced a bit higher than most people licensed to marry you but trust me it is worth it!!!
When we met Pat and Kent, we knew that they would be able to meet our needs and help us create a wedding that was a mix of traditional and personal for us. We decided to go with Pat Stimac because she was able to provide a spiritual ceremony with some of my religious and cultural traditions mixed in. She walked us through this entire process and gave us many resources to choose and create our ceremony. The rehersal was organized and easy. She kept everyone on track in a nice but organized way - I don't know about you but it is sometimes hard to control your own family and your inlaws. It was nice to have someone on our side. The wedding day went off with no problems what so ever mostly due to our careful planning together. I highly highly reccomend working with them - you will not have any regrets! -

We loooved working with Pat for our wedding! She was able to work with us closely to create a personal, meaningful ceremony. After sitting down and chatting with her about what we were looking for in a ceremony, she provided us with a set of sample ceremonies, in which we were able to choose our favorites. From our list, she created a first draft, and we were able to go back and forth with her to create an amazing ceremony. She was able to give us good suggestions based on her past experience, but was open and more than willing to work with whatever we felt was right for us.
On the day of the rehearsal, Pat was amazing at getting everyone organized and in their places quickly and efficiently. Our ceremony went perfectly, and we couldn't have asked for more. We had asked Pat to stay for the reception (unfortunately Kent was sick), which she was able to, and all of our friends and family were happy to have a chance to chat with her and have told us what a delightful person she is (which we already knew!)
We would recommend her (or Kent) without hesitation! -

Pat and Kent were incredibly patient and helped us create a ceremony that was tailored to our specifications. We didn't want anything too long, wanted to avoid religious overtones, and didn't want too much mush. We didn't think it was possible, but they came up with something that worked for us. Both of them were extremely patient, followed up on us when we dropped the ball, and put up with all of our annoying and crazy quirks. Simply fantastic!

I was just married in August at the Sanctuary at Admiral (a beautiful space) in West Seattle where Pat was our officiant. During our initial phone conversation, I immediately knew she was the person I wanted to officiate our wedding because I felt comfortable with her right away. She was consistently calm and reassuring, during both the pre-wedding craziness and the actual wedding. She was incredibly prompt and responded quickly to my emails and my ever changing family dynamics and was flexible with all of the changes we needed to make. Her presence was strong but not overbearing and she held the wedding together in a way that made everyone feel comfortable and included. Because of all of this, we had an absolutely wonderful, heartfelt, almost stress-less wedding.
