Review from Austin S.

The terrible woman has become more respectful. Perhaps it is because I have conformed to what she needs. She doesn't seem to handle criticism or conflict well, but nonetheless, I no longer dread walking in as much. I do not use them for all of my pharmaceutical needs though.

The city of San Francisco should shut this place down.
I have a list of problems with this pharmacy. #1 is that as soon as she found out I had healthy San Francisco the pharmacist literally tried to flick me away with her finger like a pest.
I have been an advocate for heath care for every human being for most of my life. I'm not giving up that it can be done, but A-G Pharmacy is the alluvium at the foot of a very slippery slope.
If you have a problem with this pharmacy you MUST let your voice be heard. Lives depend on it! -

I have nothing new to add. The County needs to severe their working relationship with AG. I am filing a complaint with the BBB, and if I can ever figure out where in DPH to complain, I'm sending one there, too.

I went in here and the elder stateswoman wasn't there that day - and everyone was soooooooooooo nice. I think they were happy and gave great customer service. It made me feel bad about my review.
There's always parking out front and it's usually a quick in and out.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Review from Adam S.
San Francisco, CA
This is the most disgusting pharmacy - public establishment, for that matter - I have ever been in. I ran my finger along where the candy bars should be (the rack was completely empty) and my finger came up BLACK. No joke.
Because I had to wait for literally an hour, only to have the woman behind the counter tell me my script was not there yet, I had a chance to look around. EVERYTHING was covered in a thick layer of dust, the products on the shelf were faded from the sunlight and the floor was dirtier than the sidewalk outside.
On top of the loud, rude and extremely frustrating experience I had with the proprietors, I really just felt creeped out by the place. I had second thoughts about taking the medicine that they gave me - but then I thought that might be taking it a bit too far (however, ya never know).
Anyway, I URGE you to go check this place out, you will crack up when you go in there - it's just that gross!! (Don't go, however, if you have allergies....) -

This place is a joke, totally unprofessional and treats their customers badly. The young woman yells at the customers. I could go on and on. This place should be closed down, no questions asked. BBB what are you doing about this?

Want to know who keeps filling up your inbox with unsolicited Viagra etc spam? A G Pharmacy.
Go give them a visit and let them know what you think. -

Extremely unpleasant pharmacist, who yelled and then hung up on me. Won't transfer prescriptions from other pharmacies.

A-G Pharmacy is as eerie and unfriendly as it sounds from the worst reviews I have read. If only I checked it beforehand, but unfortunately I thought it a superior choice over Walgreens, wanting something more quaint and personal. The place was dirty, creepy, and one of the most unprofessional establishments I can recall entering ever before in my life. The elderly woman was verbally abusive, with a terrible tone, scaring myself, another customer, as well as the sweet and innocent younger workers (who, for the record, were wonderfully kind and helpful). Everything about the experience was fairly horrendous, from the lack of knowledge regarding my prescription, to the temper and etiquette of the woman. I will never go back, and do not recommend anyone else pays a visit. Walgreens is just down the street, and its staff was genuinely helpful, and the personal and intimate assistance I was looking for in the first place.

The only problem I've had with these people is that one of the counter people has a loud mouth and no sense of confidentiality. Other than that, they are fine.
The store's pretty shabby but they keep their promises and are businesslike. They have convenient parking and I've never received spam from them. -

The worst service and pharmacy I have ever been to in my life. This white older woman is rude and yells at people. Outside of this yelling, she has shown me (and the 3 others in line) the most absolute worst service and attitude I have ever seen EVER. The pharmacy is dirty with old products on half stalked unorganized shelves. I cant believe they are even allowed to operate like this. I don't rate based on my first experience either... I am forced to use this pharmacy and have been several times each time its is pathetic. I told my doctor (who had a lot of stories himself) and even he agreed that this place was pathetic and should be shut down. I had to take my wife and her friend in just so that they would believe my stories. Shut this place down and pull their license! These people are supposed to be helpful and professional not rude and spiteful.

Best pharmacy in the bay area! Been coming here my whole life and don't plan to change that any time soon.

My experience has been VERY different from the others who have posted a review. I have not had any problems with AG. The service has been very good and prescriptions are in when I'm told they will be ready. The woman who runs the place, Marcia, and the other people with whom I have interacted have all been very nice. The reason why I keep going back to AG instead of Walgreens (which has more hours and days of service) is to support this small, local business. AG was here way before Walgreens! If you care about your health, and you want to stave off the big corporations that are taking over everything, try AG.

This place doesn't not deserve to exist and I hope it goes out of business. Everything about it is wrong: non-professional, terrible attitude towards customers, very limited hours and the space that is stuffy and seems unclean. Staff is not helpful, they will never call you to alert you of any insurance issue and u figure it out only after driving through the whole city. Avoid by all cost. Unfortunalety we're stuck with them, bad insurance.

I have been coming to this pharmacy for over a year now. I LOVE this pharmacy! The workers here are very pleasant and the girl that works in the front always remember (you can't get that kind of service at walgreens). This is one of the only few small pharmacy that is left in this town. The pharmacist/owner, Vivian, always fill my medication quickly. my overall experience at this place is GREAT! we should support small businesses such as this one!
