Previously I had a great experience with Lance, but this time I got his son, and not only did he cancel the time we had set up three times, but when he arrived, he appeared confused and disoriented, almost like he was high... He fixed the spot ok, but he took hours to do so --- during much of which time he was dropping things and speaking nonsensically.
Lance was great, but after this experience, I won't be calling back. -

I scheduled time with this company to fix a chip in one of my vehicles due to the high ratings on yelp. Although they did come out even earlier than expected (the only reason they even deserve the 1 star) the technician was horrible. I did not get Lance that everyone is talking about in previous posts. I got his son who is taking over the business that does not have the experience needed to perform the work. You can still see the crack lines of the chip and when I complain he claimed that it was normal. I have had plenty of chips fixed to know that this is not normal.
I ended up having to get a second opinion to fix the chip properly and am out more money. Do not use this company! Its hard to even call it a company with the technician wanted his name written on the check and his mom drove him to do the repair. Should have known then. Will never use them again!!! Lesson learned the hard way :( -

Great results: I have to really look close to find the impact point, just a spec of resin, otherwise good as new.

I-880 north going home from Milpitas. Behind a big rig. A rock flies up. Bam. A star shaped cracked right in the middle of the windsheild. Called Safelite. They wanted $109. No thanks. Came on yelp and found Lance from A clear view. Was able to set up an appointment on the same day in the afternoon and he quoted me a price around $50 to $60 depending on the size of the damage.
He came to my work, give or take, 10 mins of the promised appointment time and then promptly went to work. The crack was reduced to a barely noticeable rice-krispie sized mark. Seeing it was believing because it was like a small miracle. Paid $50 bucks and I was done.
Lance seemed like a nice gentleman to boot. Extremely satisfied with the entire process and the repair itself. -

Not only was Lance awesome with repairing the small crack i discovered on my windshield, he was also VERY flexible. I had to reschedule on him about 3 times. I would highly recommend him to anyone :)

Thanks to my fellow yelpers, I was able to find Lance.
Was driving home on a Saturday and a rock smashed into my windshield and created a huge bubble-looking indentation. The impact caused the glass to separate beneath the surface, so I wasn't sure if it was fixable. I also wasn't sure if anyone would be willing to fix it on a Saturday, but Lance was available and at my home within 30 minutes. How awesome is that?
Lance assured me he could fix it and told me that there would be a small mark after the repair was finished. I have had many repairs in the past, so I was expecting a small blemish afterwards, but after Lance was done, the small mark was hardly noticeable.
He only charged me $50.00 and gave me two copies of the invoice, so I could send a copy to my insurance company for reimbursement. Yay, my weekend is back on track!
FYI: He also told me that he specializes in larger windshield cracks, which really suprised me because I have had several other repairmen tell me that they will not repair cracks bigger than a dollar bill. -

I was horrified when I saw the giant rock, that was kicked up by a semi, smash into my window causing a 10 inch crack. Usually, everything with my car seems like it's a pain in the butt to get fixed but not this.
We made plans,
He called when he arrived,
I ran down from my office and gave him my keys.
A half hour later he called to say he was finished,
I ran downstairs,
And was shocked at how well the repair turned out.
I paid,
He left,
And I couldn't be happier! -

Lance is a real professional and an expert at his craft.
I've had two cracks in my windshield in the last six months- both times I've called Lance and he's come the same day to repair.

I called Lance this morning and asked if he could repair the crack. He came the same day and was friendly, professional, and courteous. We had a lot of good conversation and everything was done in about an hour. He did such a great job, I think it's a $50 well spent! I'll definitely keep his number if anything arises in the future.
It really beats spending $300-400 for a brand new windshield! :) -

Lance was spectacular!!!! I called him from work and an hour later he was in the parking-lot fixing a 7.5 inch crack in my windshield. Not only was he the only one who would repair a crack so long, he was also cheap! ($90 for a 7.5 inch crack) He explained everything he was doing step-by-step and was done in no time. You can't see the crack at all! Thank you Lance!!!
Highly Recommend Lance - I will most definitely come back for all my glass repair. -

I got a double hit on my windshield courtesy of a flying rock along I-880 passing a construction at highway 92 in hayward... It looks like a combination of a spider web and a star, I measured it and its a little over a quarter. Checked yelp sunday and it lead me to Lance but he is available on tuesday... Called another guy named greg asked me a lot of questions but at the end won't fix my windshield if the crack is over a quarter. So I called Lance again and scheduled an appointment told him the crack is over a quarter he didn't even blink came to my place and fixed it and now I have A Clear View.

I got another crack on my windshield couple weeks after my first repair with Lance. This time I went with my Insurance's suggested shop just for comparison purposes. I told the tech about the previous repair and he took and look and was impressed. He said "this is a very good repair, I don't usually say that about my competitors".

Lance did a good job on my windshield. He was very nice and professional. The whole process took about an hour. At first he was not sure if he could fix the so called "Star Break" because the cracks that I had were bigger than the size of a quarter. But he tried and did the best he could and all the legs from the crack were gone like magic. I paid $60 for his service which is pretty competitive from the other companies that I called. Lance also gave me a tip to call my auto insurance to get a reimbursement. I called AAA when I got home and they are going to send me a check of $60. So pretty much the auto insurance is paying for it. I posted the before and after pictures on Yelp and you can see it for yourself. I would recommend this guy to anyone. Thanks again Lance.

I was recently in a car accident and am currently in a rental. While on the freeway a rock flew up and chipped the windshield of the rental. I looked up a few quotes and it was going to cost me almost $200 to fix a small chip so I contacted Lance, unfortunately he was completely booked but his son Caleb was nice enough to stop by and fix it. Caleb did an awesome job, we couldn't even find where the chip was to begin with! I am most definitely recommending Caleb to my friends. Very nice guy!

A rock hit my windshield driving on 880 one evening and left a chip in my windsheild. A friend of mine refered me to "a clear view" windsheild repair and they were really great! Caleb fixed my windsheild within a short amount of time and charged an affordable price. He had all of the necessary equipment and even answered some technical questions i had about the repair process. Very knowledgable. I would highly recommend them for any type of windsheild repair!

Couple of months ago, Lance (the owner) came to my house to inspect couple of dings on my windshield that I had reported at the time over the phone to make my appointment. Lance was very prompt arriving at my house. After he inspected the dings, he told recommended that the dings are too small and should not be repaired, and the dings would not become bigger. I was very impressed with his honesty and he didn't charge me anything for his time & gas! He told me that he was more concern w/customer's satisfaction and trying to make a buck, especially in this time of challenging economic time.

Lance is the man! He came to my house on a Sunday because he understood the urgency. My car was being taken back because of the lemon law. Lance reduced the visibility of the chip by A LOT. Saved me thousands of dollars by not getting a brand new windshield (BMW $$$).

I had a chip in my window for a few months, and when it started spreading, I knew it was time to fix it. I saw the positive reviews for A Clear View so I called up Lance and scheduled an appointment for the very next day. He showed up at my house and even took the extra time to make sure that it looked great aesthetically. He charges about $60 for a normal chip but because mine had cracks that started to spread (including a few long ones) he charged $80 which was very reasonable considering a lot of places I called refused to fix any crack longer than about an inch. He gave me all the pricing info over the phone so there were no surprises. He was incredibly friendly, and on top of all of it he saved me money by telling me that large insurance companies usually reimburse repairs.
Lance is the man - I highly recommend him. I even started a yelp account just to let other people know about his service! -

I contacted Lance today for a quick break/chip on my windshield and ta-da my windshield was back to normal after he finished repairing it. Lance is detailed orientated and explains everything very clearly. He is professional and his prices are affordable!!!

I found this business on Yelp, noted its 5-star rating, read the reviews and said "that's the one I want" -- and I wasn't disappointed. Lance came out to my place of business, explained what he was going to do, then I left and in 30 minutes he called me to come back and lock up my car -- the work was done. And I could NOT see where the crack had been! His price was fair ($50.00) and he shared how I could probably get a full refund from my insurance company because they prefer to pay full price for a fixed crack than for a whole new windshield. The ONLY down side is that he only takes cash or check, not debit or credit cards, but for a small business, that's understandable.

Lance is the man to go to for any chips or cracks on your windshield! I got a good sized chip recently and Lance was not only very quick to get to my location, but he is very professional and did a great job.
He shows you what he's doing and explained the whole process. He told me if I ever get another chip or crack, get it taken care of as soon as possible! Heat is the worst enemy as it expands the glass and makes it crack.
My windshield was good as new in less than an hour and he also guarantees his work. I highly recommend Lance! -

Lance is awesome! I had a small pit/bulls eye on my windshield and didn't want it to become a crack. Found him on Yelp while doing a search on mobile windshield repair in San Jose. Called him for an appt and he fixed it the next day. Can barely notice the damage but the important thing is knowing the windshield will not crack. Reasonable price, quality work and great customer service. Highly recommend him!

Very good professional work. Lance (the proprietor) was prompt and came to my work place to fix the windshield chip. He gave a good estimate and explained everything he would do to fix the chip. I am only giving 4 stars as this is the first time I am getting my windshield repaired and I have nothing to compare the result against.

so glad i read this on Yelp cuz for some reason it's not under Glass Repair so there- maybe that'll make it pop up now- LOL! anyway yeah good call cuz this guy was great! i had 1 lil crack & 1 mini potential future clone crack and he nipped both problems in the bud & only charged me for the "big" 1! only took about a half hour & was % LESS THAN HALF PRICE $ what stupid Safelite said on their auto quote website which wanted me to wait the next day like 'sometimes between 9-6' which woulda been my only choice since they only have an 800#! so yeah, that's when i checked here. and honestly- even if it had been the same price it still felt better to give my $ to a real human being who was local & not part of the machine! only minus 1 star cuz he was like 45 min. late. in his defense i saw as he looked for his next location that he HAS NO GPS- just a Thomas Guide book! so i guess maybe he got lost, but still coulda called. but it's OK- just a CASUAL system which is fine as long as the job itself is professional which it was & like i said: Nice old mellow dude! was neat to see the black light and stuff & he didn't even mind me taking a buncha picks of the process=bonus! 4.5 stars :)

Lance is the man at fixing cracks,chips, bullseye. Whatever it is he can fill it and minimize structure, and awful aesthetic damage to the windshield. Lance is the owner of the company works with his wife and son who also does mobile repair. I called them up and his wife answered and quickly dispatched the request to lance to see if he could fit me in as early as this afternoon and she did. About 2 hours later, Lance arrived on my driveway. I stayed with Lance through out the repair because he's very talkative guy, very friendly, and willing to explain to you the process of repairing windows. He took about an hr to fill a bullseye crack on the sight line of my driver side windshield. He reduced the visibility of the crack about 98%. All you can faintly see is a light light smudge on the windshield. Its definitely not noticeable from the driver's seat. Lance was a great repair man and his prices are reasonable for the amount of time and effort he spent on the repair. Its a fixed priced per crack. Great guy, great price, and great conversation. I cannot recommend Lance or his son enough.
