I was shooping for my nephew's and stopped in here, what a great place, They have a good variety of toys that are just not found at the Big Box toy stores, and they are made to last which is more than I can say for other items I have found.
I only wish this was my first stop, as I had picked up some items elsewhere that were sub-par compared to what I found here. On my next round of toy shopping I'll be coming here first. -

I love a good toy store.
As much as big box stores like Target or Toy R Us have so much stuff and pretty good prices, it is always the little stores that stock the cool toys for younger kids.
This store is quite the gem in Corte Madera with lots of quality toys that provide a lot of learning for kids whether they realize it or not. Just simple fine motor skills being used by having a few more moving parts (that don't snap off after 5 minutes) can really help in early development.
Prices are a little higher but for more quality. This is a great place to send Grandparents shopping!
The staff was friendly and helpful. While most of them looked like they didn't have kids, they still tried to give me options on a style of Euro toy I was looking for they didn't have.
Some of the aisles are tight, but I will gladly take that to find good toys that not everyone else is using for my kiddo! -

My son and I love the store! This is the best toy store ever. The staff is very nice and accommodating to all the little children and their parents. They have lots of fun stuff set up for young children to play with and the staff gives you absolutely no attitude even when your child is scooting around the perimeter of the store or whizzing around with a toy shopping cart. We have spent countless hours of fun in this store and I always come to them first for toys for my son or birthday presents for his friends. They have a nice selection of toys. Whoever is their Buyer is doing a great job.

One of several children's stores in the Corte Madera Town Center mall, but this is truly a boutique toy store. Find everything from Breyer and Thomas the Train to Groovy Girls and various European wood toy brands. Hello Kitty area, lunchbox and music areas. Too much is crammed into the space, so shopping is frustrating. A little of everything but their San Rafael location is much friendlier and less cluttered.
Not a place to go to for bargains if you're on a budget. More for collector toys or toys that can be handed down. -

How do you get to the awesome toy store? You have to go across the big red bridge, though the rainbow tunnel, to get to the awesome toy store.
Fun toy store, filled with good quality toys. We never leave this place without buying something. Today it was sand toys and a toy ambulance. Good selection of dolls, Thomas trains, developmental toys, crafty stuff, outside toys, fairy-themed stuff, etc. - and lots of classics that you don't see around so much anymore. Remember Bristle Blocks? They sell'em here. I always find some cool new thing here that I haven't seen anywhere else. Today I saw some finger paint packaged in a pump, in the arts and crafts section - someone's thinking, as my mother would say. Lots of toys on display so the kids can give them a trial run and then beg you for them.Listed in: playtime!

This store is amazing, I babysit a little boy and inevitably when we are at Town Center he manages to find this toy store. It is so child friendly and he is allowed to touch and play with toys, it helps me to see what he is interested in. Also, the manager, Katie, is awesome she really understands child development and what toy at what age is appropriate.

I've come full circle with Child's Delight. When we first moved to the area I fell in love with the merchandise - they've got a wonderful assortment of Euro toys here (some stuff that reminded me of my child hood toys). Seriously, it's one of the best selections around for quality-made toys.
However, after a couple not so favorable experiences with one employee in particular I was not so keen on the shop. However, what made me come back full circle is that the owner, once aware of the issues immediately contacted me and addressed me concerns. (Apparently the employee I referred to is no longer part of the Child's Delight team). As the saying goes, good help is hard to find - so you can't blame a business for making a hiring mistake. However, you can judge them on how they deal with it. And I really appreciate the genuine concern the owner has about running a top notch establishment. And the team they have now is great - both my husband and I have enjoyed our recent visits.
So if you're looking for a great selection in toys and good service - this is the place to go in Marin! -

This is a quality toy store- loaded with toys for kids big and small, A Child's Delight is a pure winner. They carry all the usual stuff, from Legos to yoyos. The staff has always been friendly and glad to help. Just an excellent toy store- A Child's Delight.

Mostly Phenomenal independent, conscious, thoughtful store, packed to the gills with toys you will not regularly find at big box stores, like Toys 'R Us, but also a place with great staples too, like model horses and puzzles.

Awesome selection and fantastic customer service. I am willing to pay up to 20% more for items just because of how well run this place is. Kudos to Katie and the rest of the staff. Finally a toy store that welcomes it's most important customers (the kids!) I purchase something from this place monthly. Most recently, Katie and the rest of the staff helped me trick out a new Kettler Happy Navigator for my son's second birthday. Katie treated me like I was at the Jaguar dealership shopping around for a $85,000 luxury vehicle instead of an awesome trike the ended up being around $400 once we got all of the bells and whistles. The thing about this place is that you know that if there are any problems you can come right back and they will fix them for you. The owner should be super grateful to her staff!

It's a good toy store with great quality items. I found the selection of books to be a little bit lacking though. Not enough of them, I think. Trains, cars, small model animals and knights in armor, blocks of all kinds, dolls and on and on. Do I think a special trip is needed to come here? No, not really. But if you're in the neighborhood, it's worth it to stop by.

This was my second trip to A Child's Delight and I was again impressed with both the customer service and the selection of toys. They offer a good value especially when you consider that it saves me from having to step foot in Target-Mart. After I finally narrowed down my choices, the salesclerk offered to wrap my gifts.... saving me both time and effort. Maybe next time I'll bring in the 4 year old.....
