Wow, what can I say, I just called Russell to schedule a tow, and unfortunately because of my special situation he was not able to do the tow. But the call didn't end there, he went out of his way to put me in touch with another company who could help me out. I was blown away at how friendly and helpful he was. I will definitely be calling again for any less strange towing needs that I may have in the future!

Excellent service!!! Spoke to Russell to have my car towed from my house to auto shop. Less than 30 minutes car was hooked up and ready to go! Also great price!

Arrived at my house within 30 minutes from the time I called. I had originally called Russell which is his son but since he was was busy and didn't have the flat bed type of tow truck at that moment he provided his Dad's #. Both were very friendly on the phone. His Dad was very friendly in person as well. I was able to give him the keys so that way I didn't have to go down to the car shop. Made the whole process quick & easy. Cheap price compared to other tow companies I called. If I need a tow again this will be the place I call.
Also he brings this cute little dog that waits in the front seat of the tow truck while the car is getting put into place. -

I needed a flatbed tow 75 miles up to a shop in fairfield, based on Yelp reviews i called Russell, & I'm glad i did.
He called me back after I left a message, we arranged the time & place, and he arrived as promised, even called to tell me he was running ~10mins late. He did a great job of getting the car hooked up safely & without damage, & got me to fairfield safely & right on time. Great service, honest & friendly, and great rates too, way less than some other quotes i got. I'll be recommending him to anyone i know if they should ever need a tow.

Found A Cheap Tow on a yelp search when my car was dead in my driveway and needed to get to a mechanic. Russel showed up after driving 20 minutes to get to me, asked me what the problem was and then showed me exactly what was wrong and that it was a simple issue. Best service ever, will keep his card on my person at all time. If I ever need a tow again I will have his number handy.

Seriously good guys.
Called Russell, and he didn't answer but his voicemail had a number for his dad. Called him, and he was responsive and quick to get to me. 25 minutes after the call, he picked me up and towed me to the shop.
He was nice and courteous. Definitely recommended, especially for the price. 55 bucks was way better than any other tow service I was looking at in this area.
Added him to my phone and will definitely call back if I - heaven forbid - need a tow again.

About three years ago, I drove my car into a ditch on the way to an exam.
Because I still needed to take the exam, I trusted Russell to tow my car (without me to accompany him) from San Jose to my home in Millbrae.
Price was extremely reasonable and he was very nice and courteous.
I highly recommend him and would refer him immediately to anyone in the San Jose area. -

I locked my keys in the car, DAMN IT!!!
Used Yelp to find A Cheap Tow. At $35 he was half the price of what others wanted. Russ and his dog came out at the promised time and charged exactly what he said he would.
Fast, funny, jovial...real nice guy. Hopefully I won't need his services again but if I do he'll be the first person I call.

Russel is awesome!
My Fiance's car had broken down, and we needed a tow to the shop she had chosen. Russel even though busy with a tow in Downtown SJ scheduled us in.
Prices are great in comparison to other companies I called...$60 cheaper actually.
The car made it safely to the shop. Russel cracked a few jokes, introduced me to his dog, and was then on his way.
If I ever need a tow again, Cheap Tow will be the service I use =) -

I didn't actually use Russell, because he was busy, but I had called him based on all these glowing reviews. He was super polite on the phone and said that while he couldn't come out, he was referring me to Bob at Shamron and that his prices were good, and he was a nice guy.
Russell was right! Thanks to him I found Bob and he was super. I'll post a review of his service on his page. -

Nice guys, honest pricing. The only reason I knocked off a star was because the guy was kind of late getting to me. He did make up for his lateness with a genuine apology though. Pretty rare in this industry. Hopefully I won't need a tow again, but if I do I'll definitely use these guys again.

I Highly recommend this service. He quoted me $55 for a Cadillac Deville. It was a 7 mile tow so it was a bit more expensive than the base price of $40 that they advertise. It was so worth it. He took care of everything over the phone, I left the keys in it. He picked it up, towed it and dropped it off, left the receipt in the car and called me after it was complete. I didn't even have to be there. I appreciate his speed and professionalism. I will definitely recommend him to everyone I know and I will use him in the future. Thanks Russell!

Although his name says cheap, Russell's service is professional, quick, and very friendly. Calling a tow company can be a low point in your day, but Russell quickly gets you back on the road. I will definitely call him for future towing needs.

Does exactly what he says...
Shows up on time...takes great care of your car...works magic with his flatbed trailer (we have a detached garage in the back of our property and I've seen folks nearly hit the house or fence in a car going forward let alone in a tow truck with a flat bed trailer in reverse!).

I called Russel for a scooter tow about a month back, after finding him here on Yelp. He was prompt, and had the scooter well secured very quickly. He knew exactly where we were going, in the maze of streets near the SJ airport. Best of all, he was very friendly and cheap. What more could you ask for? I'd call him again in a heartbeat.

I am so glad I called Russell. My brother was broken down on the side of the freeway and stranded. Having never had this issue before, I wasn't fully sure how everything worked. I found Russell off of google and was so glad he helped with everything. He is the one that does the towing which is a relief to me so you deal with him on the phone and in person. Super nice guy and he will get the job done and get you from stranded to a shop. I highly recommend his services

I am very happy with the service I got from Russ at A Cheap Tow. I called Russ around 2:30pm on a Monday and Russ said he'd be able to tow my car after 4:30, as there were two calls for tows ahead of me. He let me know he'd call back at 4:30 to give me an ETA and he called at 4:30 on the dot. Russ was friendly and went the extra mile by not just towing my car, but first trying to jump it and spending a few minutes looking around under the hood to try and get an idea of what the problem might be. His rate was exactly as quoted on his website, $40 flat to tow up to 5 miles. I hope I don't need my car towed again any time soon, but if I do, I will definitely call Russ.
