I've lived in Brickell for almost years now and always been to the Grove frequently. However, I had always drove past A.C's truck and intending to stop every time, but never did. Finally about a month ago when the lot was not full I finally had my first frozen lemonade from A.C. It was fantastic and I regretted not stopping sooner.
Drinking this frozen lemonade is a must on a hot Miami day. Priced very reasonably. Also a plus is that A.C. and whoever works for him are always very friendly. -

In our changin' world, it's a great when a business as honest to goodness as A.C's stands the test of time. Since '78, my man A.C. has been keeping it fresh and frozen. Growing up in the Grove, I'd tug at my parent's arms to drive me over for a cup of frozen lemonade and this afternoon, I shared the sweet experience with my buddy, Patrick.
Go with the half lemonade, half cherry, then take a little stroll around Kennedy Park. If you're feeling the need to "adultify" your frozen lemonade, throw in a shot of vodka. -
Review from Caro d.
Legend has it AC wakes up at 4 AM every morning to hand squeeze pounds and pounds of lemons to get ready for the day of frozen lemonade ahead.
The amount of sugar in these is probably enough to fuel an army of kindergarteners for a week-long attack on the unruly first graders next door, which they will surely win because their ratio of glucose to red blood cell count is over 0.5, but I digress.
A.C.'s is a classic. I take all of my out-of-town friends here for a little walk to the bay and some amazing frozen lemonade. They all love it. Truly a crowd pleaser.
It is truly a staple of my childhood. Growing up in the Grove meant getting A's on test merited a quick ride over to Kennedy Park from elementary school. As I got older, when the days weren't too hot, and we were feeling dangerous, we'd walk all the way from G.W. Carver Middle to the park to get our sugar fix and gossip about the cute drama teacher. Totally worth it. In high school, we got lazy and drove the scenic route down Main Highway - but to me, A.C.'s will always be the best after-school treat. Cheers!
Pro tip: You can get a half and half: half strawberry, half lemonade. (I personally stick to the lemonade as the strawberry makes it too sweet, but to each his own).Listed in: Just Paid Rent

This place stands out as an oasis on a hot day. When you ride to Virginia Key from South Miami, there aren't too many places to stop along the way. A.C.'s is the most convenient stop, located right by the path in Kennedy Park.
It's a mirage, though. You THINK you want a frozen lemonade, oh yes, you think that. You rode mountain bike trails and huffed it up the Rickenbacker bridge twice on an August afternoon...what could be better than a frozen lemonade?
So you buy one. You sip, and because you're so hot and dehydrated, it tastes like the most amazing thing ever. You start gulping. You get a headfreeze headache. You wait for it to subside and start gulping anew.
You will feel refreshed and rejuvenated....for about 5 minutes. After that, because this frozen lemonade is so sugary, your mouth will become sticky and dry, and you'll be even more thirsty than you were before you bought the frozen lemonade.
I would say don't do it....but I know you will. Sometimes I'm so desperate, I fall for the mirage, knowing full well it's a mirage. -

This is a great food truck. I moved out to the beach almost 6 months ago and still find myself making excuses to visit the grove, mostly just to hit up A.C.'s. There's nothing better for a hangover down here, due to the lack of a good bacon-egg-and-cheese sandwich on a hardroll, that does you better than one of these frozen lemonades. It may be 4 times the price of a slurpee, but its worth it. I spilled one a few weeks ago while juggling my house keys and still haven't gotten over the loss.

The combination of sour and sweet, juicy, cold and crunchy...MMMMmmMMMM A.C.'s Icee's is a Miami institution for a reason!
Of course the best times to go get yourself some of the deliciousness in a cup is during the summer; beware though, you will slurp it up so fast that brain-freeze is nearly guaranteed. I still venture out here during the non-sweltering months though because there is always room for some sweet crunchy Icee in my life.
Come with an umbrella though, the line is always long and there is no shade provided while you wait for a reprieve from the SoFla heat and sun. -

Best frozen lemonade ever!!! All natural :)

Review from Lucy F.
This frozen lemonade is so yummy! This is the closest thing to water ice I can find in Miami.
It's in the perfect place too, you can grab some AC's and then take a walk in Kennedy Park to enjoy the afternoon, evening even more. Couldn't have found a better location.
Sometimes there is a line but that only speaks to the quality of product and the demand that the loyal customers go to check it out. -

Childhood in a cup.
That's how I described my icee after the first sip. Ordered the traditional lemonade, my date ordered cherry flavored, and we were both in awe.
It was the kind of hot and sweaty day in Miami that makes you want to jump into the bay with all your clothes on... but luckily, we ran into A.C.'s along the way.
It was the perfect compliment to our stroll around the park.
The truck just screams local, Miami, and character. Also - Loved that the man who made me icee, is also on the logo. -

JUST GO!!!!!!!
The best lemonade Icee ever!
It IS best solution for a hot day in Miami.
Made and sold my a local Miami-an and business has been around since 1978.
You can buy the icee and walk around the park (where you can also walk your dog). Relax on a bench while enjoying your heat relief in a cup.
You can buy an icee on your way to or from the beach. Parking might be a pain but....
IT IS WORTH A STOP!
Get it NOW! Don't worry if you can't make it today because he is there everyday with his lemonade truck up to ~5pm. -

All things wonderful are in an Icee!
Imagine the hottest, stickiest, worst humidity stricken day, and the only way to get any relief (besides taking 3+ showers a day or hitting the beach) is ordering one of these icees- My fav- Pina Colada! I like the traditional Lemon too, which I would gladly accept any day in the summertime.
I'm like a little kid again, slurping and getting brain-freeze and saying "Ahhh" in-between using the straw to sip and as a makeshift spoon-straw.
I like that it's got a retro-feel to it. The honest-to-goodness quick service and photos of the van back in the day is definitely nostalgic. Anytime there is a history of a local place it gives it authenticity and something special.
Everything anyone has ever told me about AC's has lived up to their word, and that's awesome with me :)
If you're in the park, it's definitely worth stopping for refreshment and a blast from the good old days -

When life hands you lemons, make frozen lemonade. Or better yet go buy some at A.C.'s Icees. Serving it up cold and refreshing since 1978 this is a Miami institution.
There's usually a short-line for this long-time favorite. Other popular items include all beef hot dogs, sodas, waters, chips, and cookies.
You may not find AC working every day but it's still the same truck and same great lemonade.
The next time you're in the area, swing by, order cups of lemonade and go walk around the park. Voila, instant date.Listed in: Grove Goodies

This guy's been food-truckin' since before food-truckin' was cool and Miami should be thankful. So if you're ever passing through the Grove and find yourself thirsty or hungry, stop by the big white & yellow truck at Kennedy Park. A.C.'s serves up the best Icees in town and prolly in the world! He also makes some pretty mean beef hot dogs too...
I recommend a Hot Dog with Cheese & Ketchup and an Cherry Icee with a splash of Lemon. -
Review from Sergio F.
I remember this from back when beepers were the only form of on the go communication! AC is a Grove institution; his frozen lemonade is the perfect way to cool down after jogging from Vizcaya before continuing to the Grove, or taking El Nino Feo (my lab) to the dog park. Btw, he also enjoys licking the last little bit of lemonade.
Why did I take one star off? Lately it seems that there's more ice than lemonade. But other than that, AC's is the best. -

Thanks to this place, I got a terrible case of Sphenopalatine Ganglioneuraglia! Others around me were rushing to get it too--waiting in line even! But was it worth it? YES--just as you might expect! It is only natural to get SG, AKA "head freeze" with these iced lemonades since they are the tastiest, most refreshing, tangy treats in the grove. One can't help to slurp them up quickly when the weather is hot out and the ice is melting away!
You can get traditional, cherry, or pina colada--or a mix of two. But, just get the traditional, because it is the best one =) -

There is absolutely nothing wrong with sipping an ice cold lemonade at noon on a hot day in August. While you're covered in makeup and sweat from a photo shoot none the less. They're so delicious... just sweet enough and perfectly refreshing.

Oh A.C.'s. You are a staple to the local CG community. Who didn't grow up here knowing of and have one of your icees? Your truck is an icon on the Coconut Grove streets and you knew the day was officially done when you drove it home. How do you we get you marked as a Historical Landmark?

"The BEST frozen lemonade" in Miami and it's not even close.
I cant believe that this institution hasn't been reviewed before.
Nothing better than going for a nice bike ride around the grove and the key and stopping for a delicious frozen treat. He also has frozen strawberry and I think Pina Colada but I haven't tried them... I hear they are good.
If im not mistaken he also has hot dogs, chips and stuff like that but the frozen lemonade is the goods
The owner has been in the same spot for over 30 years and now a days that means something -
Review from Cassie G.
The heat is on in Miami and A.C.'s Icce's might be my new favorite way to cool down.
I thought I knew Coconut Grove inside out but had no idea Kennedy Park existed, let alone this truck has been a city institution for years. I opted for the traditional frozen lemonade to quench my thirst and was shocked by how much I enjoyed it. The consistency was perfect, it wasn't too sour, and I felt instantly refreshed!
The park itself looks like a great place to relax and can be made that much better with a frozen lemonade and maybe a hot dog on the side. -

When it's hot in Miami, and it often is, I crave a frozen lemonade concoction made exclusively by A.C. This is lemonade magic served with a red "stroon"(my new word for a straw and spoon). This lemony goodness is so good, in fact, that I often take my dog to Kennedy Park just so that I can have an excuse to get my hands on an A.C.'s Icee.
Love what you're doing with lemons, A.C. Keep up the good work! -
Review from Maria T.
Hand's down, Miami's best frozen lemonade and cherry icee stand.
A.C. has been serving up his homemade slurpee goodness for over 30 years and homeboy keeps his prices real. A meager $2.50 gets you a cup of the most delicious icee your tastebuds have ever encountered.
Hotdogs, chips and other street meat are up for grabs but I always stick with the icees.
Long live A.C.! He's a Kennedy Park institution. -
Review from Jamie L.
AC has been a fixture in the Grove and at Kennedy Park for more than 25 years. He's a local, and he knows the locals. You'll find every walk of life at his window, from the semi-homeless to the newly-appointed Circuit Court Judge to the Mayor... and everyone in between. They honk and wave as they drive by, or stop in to chat with AC while basking in the South Florida weather under the pines.
They also come for the grub.
They're here for the Frozen Lemonades and Pina Colada flavored Icees, soft frozen and perfect consistency, with whole tidbits of pineapple.
They're here for the Sabrett's hot dogs in fresh, steamed buns, with cooked onions and spicy brown mustard. (Don't even TRY to eat just one.)
Sure, AC's got chips, tuna salad sandwiches, bottled water and sodas and more. But the staples are the Icees and Sabretts and AC himself.
Everything else is gravy. -

Wow....I have an obsession with lemonade, lemonade slushies, water ice (lemonade flavored), etc.... I was worried I'd never find anything in Miami that could satisfy such an obscure craving, but A.C.'s Icee's not only fits the bill, but each icee is truly amazing and delicious.
It is the BEST refreshment in Miami, and A.C. is always friendly, consistent, and apparently uses true ingredients rather than mixes or junk you'd get out of gas station slushee machines.
Not to mention the park it's located in (Kennedy) is gorgeous and right on the water!
I adore these things, if I was closer I'd come multiple times a week. -

So refreshing and tart. My boyfriend and I take his dog Molly to the dog park, personally I think he uses it as an excuse to get one of these delicious lemonade icees, and I'm not complaining.
This place is very consistent, there's always a line, friendly service, and the perfect lemonade treat! I haven't tried the other flavors, haven't even wanted to, the lemonade is just too good! -

you've been up since the buttcrack of dawn, ( 3am if you didnt know)
running your mass off from Kennedy Park to the Seaquarium and back.
and the sun peeks out at 7am and beats down on you. You forgot yoursunglasses, Your visor.
Yes, Gatorade is good. Yes, drink water. Have your little "nutritional" packets of energy and rehydration.
But if you really, really want to reward yourself-
walk your happy butt over to the truck, and indulge.
On most days, you will want to roll the cup of lemonade all over yourself just to cool down.
But the Lemonade....oh the Lemonade! Dont underestimate the power of their lemonade.
I think they are single-handedly responsible for me not passing out from heat stroke this past summer.Listed in: My MUST list

If you are at Kennedy Park in the Grove this is a must stop. A.C.'s frozen lemonade is excellent! I recommend half cherry/half lemonade. However, I actually go therefore his hot dogs! He uses all beef Sabrett dogs with a choice of onions in a light tomato sauce (TRY THIS YOU'LL LIKE IT). Another thing that makes the place great is AC himself just a mellow, likeable Hippie who is living his dream.
