I have been going to Roger for over 8 years now I think. I followed him from another massage place when he opened his own. The past 2 years I haven't made enough time for myself to get a massage unless I am on vacation (or someone gave me a gift certificate to a horrible massage that I will never go back to - see other review for that information) But - Roger is the best. I have never had a massage from a man that was comfortable for me until him. He is strong (I like deep tissue massage on my muscles) but he knows when it will hurt and he stops. He is very intuitive and his education and experience show. With Roger I am totally comfortable, he is polite and I forget I am getting a massage from a man and disappear into relaxation. If you are woman or a man I think you will feel great after a massage from him. I'm going later today! Yay! I love spas (like Trilogy, Burke etc..) but I have to say if there for the massage and it's after effects on your body and not just the ambiance and steam room etc you get from a spa, then get a great massage and just go do a Jacuzzi and steam at the spa or your gym. I recommend at least 1.5 hours. It takes me an hour to settle down and relax. 1.5 is perfect without falling asleep which I do in a 2 hour one usually. Thanks Roger!!
P.S. my husband likes me to go get a massage because I'm so much happier and nicer after. I guess he can thank Roger too. -

Thanks to yelp I was able to have one of the best massages I have ever had. After a miserably crowded 6 hour flight, I checked in to my Hermosa Beach hotel with a headache and aching back. Roger was able to work me in short notice. He is professional, knowledgeable, and could tell exactly where I was tense/sore. He worked out all the knots and my headache was gone when I left. Make an Appt - you will not be sorry you did!

Congratulations, Daniel on your new location! 1601 PCH, right below 24 Hour Fitness.
Daniel continues to surprise and amaze me with the range of his knowledge and offerings. I hurt my back and the pain was so bad that I was walking like an old lady. Daniel fit me in & in one hour session of Jin Shin Jitsu (which I'd never heard of before) he was able to completely remove all of my pain, which has not returned (for 2 months)! I am so grateful to have discovered a massage therapist of his talent, wisdom and demeanor! Plus, he educated me on some key meridians and points in my body that I can touch to keep myself functioning optimally.

I've been to several massage therapist through the years - ranging from the Four Seasons to the Massage Spot and I will say Roger is the best. He has his own room in Oasis Thai Massage so you book directly through him. He has a great online booking system. He is extremely knowledgeable about the body and knows the exact areas you need to focus on. He is excellent at sports massages! I've never walked out of a massage feeling so aligned and relaxed before. He is the best in town!

OMG!!!!!! I do hair for a living and my whole body hates me!!!lol im on my feet all day 5 days outta the week and it seriously takes a tole.
Before i started going to Better Body i had never had a male masseuse and didnt know if i would be comfortable. But right when i walked in, i didnt feel that way anymore! they are very respectful and professional!!
i have been here twice and recommend it to all my clients who tell me they're lookin for a new massage spot! Rodger is a miracle worker!! its been a while and im do to see him very soon! :)
Worth every penny! just dont raise ur prices please! lol
DEFINETLY MY #1 SPOT for a massage!! -

Roger is simply the best massage therapist I have ever been to. He tailors the massage to your needs and is so caring and tuned in. He is very good at stretching, something many other therapists don't do.
A friend and I said if we ever win the lotto, we will hire Roger as our personal massage therapist. -

Based on the other yelp reviews, I decided to try this place and I'm so glad I did. Roger was great, I felt very comfortable and the heated table and soothing music were great. I told Roger about the pain in my back and shoulders and he really listened and focused on that area. One of the best massages I have had in awhile!

Tucked into a little plaza on PCH between Ralph's and Pier Avenue and integrated within the doors of Oasis Thai Massage, you'll find 'A Better Body.' Literally, a hidden gem. Roger owns and runs the business and maintains a high standard of integrity in his work. Plus, he's just a really nice person. You can check out their site 'abetterbodymassages.com' for detailed info. The prices are very reasonable and every experience I've had there has been positive. A tiny place but, still, one of the best places for massage in the South Bay.

Excellent, see Roger. Amazing! So glad we found him after we lost our other spot on PCH recently. Very friendly and well trained, staff does multiple techniques as well as lymph drainage for cancer patients. Very professional and one of the best we have ever been to! Even my husband who it very Tall and one those "big guys" gets a great massage, excellent with deep tissue/sports massage as well.
