we went here yesterday after makin reservations online ,we arrived early n were greeted by a elderly lady, she accomodated us even though we were 45 mins. early. we got our table pretty fast and we started with tiger prawns, they were just yummy, for main course i got goat shank and she got some weird chicken item (weird italian language) both were very delicious and very light so we had still some space for dessert, i chose italian fruit custard , very nice but couldnt finish it as i was full.
we definitely enjoyed the visit and our meal and we will be back for sure.
p.s noise level can be high, but thats just cause some guy high on wine laughin like a weirdo. -

I really wanted to give this place more stars, but I don't think I can.
When I made my reservation, the guy answering was sort of rude. I was running ten minutes late or so I thought, so I wanted to push reservation back half an hour, but I guess it wasn't really necessary. I arrived with my family and there were plenty of room in the restaurant. Parking is another story. They do have their own lot; however, it was packed.
I was so thrown off with the way the person handled the phone, I thought service would suck. I was totally wrong. When my family and I arrived, we were warmly greeted from the beginning. Our water were filled about five times throughout our dinner, and it was plenty enough. Also, our waiter was just amazing. I felt sort of bad about how nice he was when all I wanted to do was just eat. It's ok, he got a super generous tip.
Anyway, we went with the special on ordering the seabass. It was my mom's favorite dish of the night. I liked it, too. I usually don't like sea bass because most places overcooks this fish and it tastes too creamier/fatty to me. However, paired with the spinach and potato, it had a little tart taste to down play the creaminess of the fish. Furthermore, the fish had a good crust to it, slightly cripsy.
Ordered:
Carpaccio: The beef looked funny, brownish. I usually don't eat raw beef and I didn't. Especially with the coloring being funny. Nothing that wow'd my family.
Gamberoni al Prosciutto: I love prawns, but this was way too salty for me. Nothing extraordinary.
Linguine alle Vongole: I don't know how you mess up a dish like this, except I guess by using bad clams. The clams tasted like it wasn't cleaned properly. Furthermore, it was on the salty side. Additionally, the pasta was very al dente to the point that it felt like it wasn't cooked all the way. Also, it was just super oily. I don't care if it's olive oil. It's still fat.
Gnocchi Gorgonzola: This dish was memorable. It tasted like cheeseballs. I would definitely order this to share because it's super rich. You'll get tired of the dish within few mouthfuls.
Coscia d'Agnello: Polenta was just whatever in there. I didn't taste the lamb, because I don't eat it. My step dad enjoyed it.
And my last dish, I believer server got wrong, but it wasn't memorable either. It was a salmon dish with broccoli and potatoes. At least the salmon wasn't over cooked?
The tiramisu was good, but not out of this world amazing. Definitely worth a try to close off the meal.
Overall, we loved the ambiance. It is for an older crowd. It has a very nice romantic feel to it. I know this is weird, but I have to give them two thumbs up for a clean bathroom. Any restaurants with a clean bathroom is worth mentioning. The free bread was free bread. Came out warm and you had olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Wish they gave us roasted garlic with that too.
Spent over $200 including tips for party of 6. Would I come back and drop that much again on this place? Probably not. Worth the visit? Probably not. It's just hard to find a good Italian place in the South Bay.
Good for couples to try though! Just not family. -

If I could I would call this a 3.5 star rating...
We visited A Bellagio Italian Restaurant this past weekend after I made a reservation through Yelp (Open Table). This was my husband and my first date night out since we moved to California and I was really looking forward to a nice relaxing dinner.
It was a beautiful night so we requested to sit outside, they have a small covered patio area. Even though it was a nice night no one was sitting out there and we had to wait a few minutes for them to get some table settings. When we sat down the first thing I noticed was that they had given my husband a dirty water glass (with a bit of red wine in the bottom of it). That was taken care of right away and the rest of the evening the service was great.
We started with two salads, both were just okay.
I had read the reviews stating that the Gnocchi was out of this world. I would typically not order Gnocchi, not because I don't like it but simply because I prefer other Italian dishes over it. But, I decided to try it due to the rave reviews and I am SO glad that I did. One reviewer stated that the gnocchi was something, "like little pillows of air." I would totally agree. I have never had gnocchi this good. The sauce was a bit salty for my taste but the actual gnocchi was perfection.
My husband ordered the penne pasta with salmon, it was also outstanding. The salmon had a smokey flavor and the pasta was cooked a perfect al dente.
We would definitely return to Bellagio for dinner as the menu had many other interesting items on it. -

Campbell, CA
This is one of my preferred Italian places around Campbell. The food is quite good. I give them five stars for their customer service. We came here around valentines day and my husband ordered the risotto which he'd had before. The first time he had the dish it was mouthwateringly delicious. This time it really tasted like bland dishwater. When we were getting ready to leave the waitress asked us how our meal was and we were honest. She was shocked, took it back in the kitchen, and then came out in 5 minutes with a new dish to go. The new dish was just as delicious as the first time we'd ordered it. Someone messed up in the kitchen, which was unfortunate, but it was so nice that the restaurant cared and wanted to make amends.
They're also quite free with the grappa which is cute and very Italian :) -

The food is unique and fantastic! Our server was fun and knew the menu well. She was kind and acknowledged our 4 year old. The food was portioned well and the service was not rushed. We will definitely go back! I had the fat pasta with egg yolks, parma ham with marinara - delish! The appetizer tiger prawns was amazing and the veal ravioli soup was rich and comforting! My husband had the seafood and angel hair pasta which he didn't share (smile), and the lemon sorbet and the affugato was a great way to end dinner! Thank you A Bellagio!

I'm going to be like a scratched record on Bellagio. On one hand this was a perfectly nice restaurant and a really nice ambiance. On the other hand, living the Santa Cruz side of Dio Deka, there wasn't anything that gave me that urge to see this as a further frequented destination restaurant.
The staff were great, wine selection was great, food was great and portions were certainly on the large side.
We started with the Antipasti and that was really nice, my wife had the Gnocchi which I think must be one of the best I've tasted while I had the seafood stew which again was really beautifully prepared and had a good spicy kick to it.
So there's my problem, if I lived in the Cambell area then this would be a regular for us but I find myself comparing it as the prices were not too dissimilar to Dio Deka but the overall package seems a lot more worthy of this price tag.
Don't get me wrong, we're not home birds and we do return to Vasso in Mountain View because the owners attention to their guests and the awesome Oysters Roquefort.
Highly recommended for the locals and certainly one of the best Italians I have eaten at in the bay area but I doubt we will return as we didn't experience that extra special something. -

We came her for the prix fixe Valentine's Dinner, which turned out to be quite a disappointment for $75/person.
The Confusion:
They offer 4 courses, of which lists 3 or 4 appetizers, 3 or 4 first dishes, etc etc. I was under the impression we would be able to CHOOSE the appetizer and first dish but it turns out, they give you a plate with ALL the appetizers piled on. Same goes for the "first dish." Ok, fine - however....
The Uncoolness:
- Poor presentation on both appetizer and pasta plate.
- We had a reservation, but had to wait 30 min. The place was pretty packed.
- "Complimentary" champage was flat
- They ran out of the rack of lamb. Really? the main course? seriously? Instead they offered veal, which was overcooked and pretty tasteless.
- Waiter kept interrupting our dinner quite frequently to check if the food tastes ok. IT'S OK DARN IT.
The Just "OK"
- Appetizers weren't spectacular, and the seafood salad was a sad sight as it was difficult to really taste much else aside from the sauce
- Pasta was pretty good, but not enough to make up for running out of the lamb and overall experience.
In retrospect, it had the quality of a $20/person dinner, not $75. -

The first thing you notice upon walking into A Bellagio is the stunning ambiance. The restaurant is dimly-lit, and paintings of Italy adorn the walls. When you walk in, you almost feel as though you've escaped California for a moment.
I used to go here pretty often when I lived in Campbell, and was never disappointed. It didn't matter who was serving me, or whether I sat at the bar or at a table, service was always outstanding, and the waiters were very friendly and helpful.
The food is excellent. One of my favorites is the gnocchi, which is served in a gorgonzola sauce. The sharpness of the gorgonzola really complements the mildness of the potato dumpling very well. It's certainly a treat.
I've also had the Pollo alla Valdostana, which is a chicken breast topped with prosciutto and fontina cheese, then bathed in a white wine sauce. I've always liked combinations of chicken and ham, and this one is tasty as well, although the white wine sauce is quite a bit milder than the gnocchi's gorgonzola sauce.
Definitely a good option to keep in mind when you are in the Campbell area. It was a treat for me many times when I lived out there. -

We were so disappointed with the experience we had on Valentine's Day. Granted V-day is typically amateur night for diners as NYE is to party-goers, but we were looking for a low-key, cozy dining night to celebrate our 6th "first date" anniversary and I thought that choosing a small mom & pop type place in Downtown Campbell would accomplish this...bad assumption.
THE SETUP:
4-Course prix fixe menu. Checked out the menu online and it looked great.
THE REALITY:
1. This was purely a v-day processing plant, churning diners in and out as quickly as possible. We probably should've walked out once we noticed the large number of high school aged kids on their dates like it was prom night at The Olive Garden.
2. The "prix fixe" menu was more like a no-self-serve-buffet. The food was all cooked and plated in advance a la badly catered wedding. Presentation was horrendous as each course had little piles of food on each plate like you would do at a potluck. Apps tasted stale, wilted greens, and the grilled seafood salad was unrecognizable and a joke. You couldn't tell the squid from the shrimp from the scallops. I'd compare it to a sub-par boiled seafood medley from a Safeway fish counter. The flavor and textures of the pasta were good but not good enough to save the meal or the dining experience.
3. People were packed in like sardines. They clearly added more tables than on a typical night. You could barely hang a purse or jacket on your chair it was that tight. No floor space to place your purse either so customers (including myself) were rearranging things onto nearby bookcase/flower shelves just to make room for 2 bread plates on the dining table.
4. Service was slow and spotty. How can this be?? You don't have to take any orders other than drinks. Then bring out the pre-plated courses.
Because this place was my choice, I was so embarrassed by the overall tacky-ghetto experience that I'm planning a makeup date at another restaurant. -

I visited A Bellagio in March 2012 with a group of 7 people ages 39-75. Our reservation was at 7:00pm on a Saturday night. When we arrived we were promptly seated. I had asked for a quiet table and we probably got the quietest in the restaurant however at times it was still hard to hear, even for me and I was the youngest in our group. The noise level was an ongoing issue for others in our group. The restaurant is very elegant and gives the feel of being in another country with beautiful wrought iron screens, stone tile walls and very nice dim mood lighting. We sat at a corner table and the light was so bad at the part of the table closest to the wall that I had to pull out the flash light program on my phone for people to use to read their menu's. This was not a negative for me as during the rest of the dinner it was not an issue and was actually very relaxing. The service was very good. Our waiter was very attentive and was not pushing to get us out the door. We were there to plan a trip to Italy and he gave us tons of time to do so.
Below is a list of most of the dishes we had and each persons rating on them:
Caprese: Good
Pappardelle all'Aragosta (pasta w/ lobster): Good
Coscia d'Agnello (Lamb Shank): Excellent
Filetto alla Mostarda (Filet): Good but was over cooked (well done vs the medium rare ordered). Would have been better if cooked as requested
Fettucine Verdi Bolognese: Sauce was good however spinach Fettucine overpowered the pasta sauce flavor. Would have like better with plain pasta noodles.
Ambiance: 5 stars
Food: 3 stars
Service: 4 stars
Noise: 2 stars (some of the older folk in our party had trouble hearing and we were in a quieter part of the restaurant.
Wine List: NA
Parking: No Valet. There is a parking lot right out front of the restaurant

I loved this place! Went after a suggestion from a coworker for a romantic place that wasn't over the top expensive. Perfect!
Located in DT Campbell but they have their own lot you can park in.
Everything we ordered was delicious!
I had the Bucatini Amatriciana- Thick pasta with sauteed pancetta in a white wine marinara sauce. There was sooo much. I probably should have packed some away but I couldn't help but finishing everything! The noodles were cooked perfectly and were so fresh. I still dream about this dish.
I was so full that I didn't even get dessert- maybe next time.
Totally recommend. -

I was there on Valentine's Day, and they had a fixed menu and of course the crowds. So my review needs to have this taken into account.
That being said, I found the food to be only adequate. The desserts were wonderful, but the rack of lamb I had was lukewarm and overpowered by the balsamic glaze on top. The pasta first courses were just OK, not sure how to describe them, but I wasn't really impressed.
The service was strange. Although the waitress kept stopping by to see how we were doing, her comments were unusual. And we were never offered drinks. The restaurant setup was extremely crowded, I assume they added tables for Valentine's Day--otherwise it would be way too cramped for a normal day.
Since I wasn't very impressed with the food, especially for the relatively high price of the meal, I don't plan on returning. -

If you are lucky enough to have Angel as your waitress dining here, you will definitely have an enjoyable time! She was so entertaining through our dinner that it made our experience that much better...great sense of humor, excellent customer service and seems to be well liked by her co-workers.
We came here last weekend for a friend's birthday dinner. We went with the banquet meal since there was 11 adults. With the banquet dinner we received:
Appetizers:
platter of Italian cured meats and olives: salami was delicious and big! I am not a fan of prosciutto but our friends seemed to like it.
calamari: didn't get a chance to try this but my husband says it was decent
Caprese tomato, basil and mozzarella: YUMMY! My favorite appetizer!
First course:
Penne Salsiccia (Italian sausage, mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, basil, garlic, white wine sauce) a bit salty but very tasty!
Gnocchi Pomodoro (homemade potato gnocchi, marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese) AWESOME! Best dish of the night! I would order this in a heartbeat again!
Spaghetti Bellagio (Parma ham, marinara cream sauce, egg yolks, parmesan cheese, oregano) Flavorful but again salty...I think like the penne that the meats really make the dishes salty.
Second course:
Pollo ai Pepperoni (chicken breast, sweet bell pepper, capers, white wine, lemon sauce)--one of the best dishes that night. The chicken was cooked perfectly and moist and the flavors of the sauce were very good.
- Salmone all' Oscheritana (salmon fillet, diced tomatoes, capers, white wine, lemon sauce)--I am not a big fan of salmon but I really enjoyed this dish and it wasn't fishy at all!
Dessert:
Tiramisu--loved it!
Ciccolato Mousse--loved it even more!
Cannoli--good but was not my favorite dessert
Overall a great dining experience with exceptional customer service and really delicious food. I would come back again definitely!
Be sure to get yourself a shot of Limoncello which is a very popular Italian liquor. -

Outstanding food and outstanding service. Good sized portions and the taste was amazing. I had the Panzarroti al Forno and the rest of the family had the Spaghetti Carbonara and the Fettucine Verdi Bolognese. All of our meals were very good and portions were big enough to take some home for lunch. Dessert was fabulous. If you go, don't forget the Cannoli.
I will definitely be visiting again. -

Great date spot.
Let's keep this short and to the point:
1) Great location in campbell, plenty of little bars to go to after a pleasant evening, and easy parking
2) Great food - we went with different risotto's - so good. and they get TWO +'s to their A for making a simple change from salmon to lobster for mine. Mmmm...
3) Great staff - from the second you walk in you feel welcome. Our waiter was older, but super charismatic and knew his stuff. I felt like I was getting a bit of history with every item.
4) ambience - it's an older crowd so everyone is respectful of the noise. The lighting is soft enough, and the music is just right so as you can still hear your date but no awkward silences.
The only gripe I would say is everything seemed to have red sauce in it.. I was not in a red sauce mood because I wanted a white wine. I had like, 2 choices out of the 20 something items. It wasn't enough to be upsetting as I loved what I had, but I would ask for more non-red sauce items, even no sauce would suffice.
Thank you A Bellagio for the great dining experience.
and to yelp, you're welcome.. -

Came by here with the bf for dinner and honestly, it wasn't the greatest Italian restaurant. The service is great and the decor inside is very cute with dim lighting for a romantic feel, but the food is another story. I ordered the gnocchi gorgonzola and the cream sauce was way too rich for my taste. It was so heavy to the point that it over-powered the taste of the gnocchi. Eh, not my favorite. The food was average, but the portions here are quite generous.

Came here for a dinner with about 12 other people. We decided to go with the banquet menu to save some stress on ordering, and so that we could enjoy a family-style meal.
I'll rate all the dishes we got on a 10 scale:
- Calamari Fritti (7)
- Caprese (8)
- Polenta e Funghi (8)
- Insalata di Spinaci (7)
- Spaghetti Bellagio (9)
- Risotto Porcini (4)
- Penne Salmone (8)
- Scallopine Funghi (8)
- Pollo alla Fiorentina (9)
- Salmone all' Oscheritana (10)
The atmosphere in this place is great for both large groups and for dinner dates. The portions are huge, and we were left with enough food to last a couple more days. I wouldn't call this my favorite Italian restaurant, but it is certainly a place I would visit again. -

This is our go-to place for REAL, authentic Italian food!
The dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients and never over powering.
I had the grilled white fish "BASA" the other night with pesto sauce and it was like eating little bits of cloud. The dish was not fishy at all and VERY good! My husband had a HUGE seafood dish: muscles, clams, prawns, scallops with a red tomato broth over linguine. We topped off dinner with their cappuccinos which I think are the best in town! -

Huge portions and cute homey atmosphere...I want to love it but just can't. The food is pretty bland. Why can't we find a great Italian restaurant in this area? I've been there 3 times and keep hoping for something better. i had the lobster fettucine which was the best dish that i have had, but we had other pastas that were bland and mediocre. The wine list is reasonably priced and staff are very friendly and it's walking distance to anything you want in downtown Campbell.

Went here for my friend's work late xmas party for her dental office. Yelp directions got us a little lost and took us down the street a bit so I had to call the restaurant and the host/waiter, Steven, actually took the time to come to us and walk us back to the restaurant, which was a block off lol Talk about great service!
When we came inside, I loved the ambience and atmosphere. The beautiful high vaulted wooden panel ceilings were breath taking and it just felt very intimate and cozy. We had a corner table for about 12 and it was comfortable, but a little close to the next table. When the big lady at the next table stood up, her butt was right in my face and I'd give my friend "the look" and she'd crack up lol But I was fine. Another downside was it was really warm in there; even before I started drinking, we got warm, but by the end of the night, it was really warm!
Our waitress, Angel, was something else. She was extremely lively and although I believe she was Asian, she emphasized the Italian accent when speaking to us. She even taught me some new words (which I forgot by now lol) She really brought the energy and friendliness, not just for our table, but I saw her at other tables sitting down next to them and taking orders. I know when I was in the restaurant industry, we weren't allowed to do that, but I feel it makes the customer feel more at ease with the server so I thought it was cool. She's not like other servers who are really routine and come back maybe once or twice to check up on us, she was there what seemed like the entire time and we were really tended to. One thing was she told one of the guys to bring me another dish and he never did. It's just one simple request and he couldn't do that?! Men...
I ordered the Caprese appetizers but then canceled it but Angel brought it out for me anyway and I believe it was on the house! It was my friend's first time eating it and she loved it and I nudged the guy I was sitting next to to try it and he and his gf were shy at first, but I kept telling them it's ok to share and they tried it and loved it too. Also shared some other appetizers like the calamari, which was spot on! My main dish was spectacular though!!! Forgot the name but it's the first dish listed on the right side of the menu; the pasta with sausage. It simply melted in my mouth and I was in heaven. Pricing was great too! Only $18 for my plate, I believe (even though I wasn't paying for it) Then I had Angel pick the dessert plate my friend and I were going to share and she got us the cheesecake. It wasn't too thick at all; pure perfection! Not to mention the 6 glasses of wine and 3 shots of Ever Clear she poured us! lol Awesome experience and I'll definitely come back and highly recommend it! -

I had a surprise date day and my bf took me here for dinner! We shared the Gnocchi Gorgonzola and Bistecca al Rosmarino. Both dishes were good, but we both liked the steak the best! The meat was cooked to a medium rare and tasty! It was a great compliment with the gnocchi which was extremely rich. I was glad to eat it along with the meat or I wouldn't have been able to eat very much of it. One of our favorite things about the meal was the bread! The two of us ate almost two baskets worth of bread! It was yummy to dip in the gorgonzola cream sauce as well!
If you plan on coming here on a warm night then definitely sit outside! It's really nice and quiet. I personally preferred the seating outside because the lighting inside was extremely orange and bothersome. -

My roomie's sis and I went here last friday 12/09/2011. It was random decision by her to go to a Italian place. I reserved a table from yelp [opentable] and it was super simple.
Food-
so I ordered the Salmone Oscheritana from the lunch menu and I think she ordered the Penne al Salmone.
The Salmone Oscheritana was nice chunk of fish, with some nice chopped vegetables and some mashed potatoes. It was very good and hit the spot
I tried out the Penne al Salmone which was pretty creamy and was ok.
For desert we tried the tiramisu which was very well made.
prices were reasonable.
Ambiance -
The restaurant was very classy. It was very quiet. The person waiting the table [john] I think was very friendly and explained the meal very well.
The restaurant was kinda empty, but very classy
There is outdoor seating as well and parking is pretty easy to find. [at least on a friday afternoon]
I will go back there for a special occasion or if I have to take my friends from out of town. -
Review from Leslie H.
Meh, way overpriced, and not that tasty. When I first walked up to this restaurant, I thought I was going to be blown away. The parking lot was packed and there were people getting dropped off at the door, as if this was an "event" restaurant. In the area we were seated, the tables are placed at odd angles, and the lighting was dim to the point that I couldn't really see my food, much less the person sitting across from me!
All of this could have been forgiven, if not for the ridiculous prices being charged. If my Linguine alle Vongole had been large enough such that I had some leftovers, it might have justified the $18.95 price tag Unfortunately, I was able to finish the whole thing, and I wasn't even that full after wards. The food was only okay.
In terms of romantic Italian restaurants, there are better places to go. Places with better decor, food, and prices. I won't be back. -
Review from Julie N.
A Bellagio is one of the most romantic and intimate restaurants I've been to. The set up is simple but I really like the wall trimmings and table settings -- charmed elegance!
They have a pretty extensive menu and on top of that, daily specials. The waiter was actually pretty condescending when telling us about them. Both: "Do you follow me?" and "Does this make sense to you?" made their ways into his speech. Sigh. People prefer doctors to share with them knowledge rather than talk down to them and lecture them. The same applies to waitstaff (for me at least). Be a respectful pal... please?
Aside from the bad first impression, the waiter warmed up to us a little after we ordered. I still saw him try harder with the couple sitting at a table near by, but those guests seemed like regulars who were ordering several courses. I also have to admit that my +1 and I may have not been giving him much to work with since we were engaged in conversation most of the time.
The food was superb. We had the Gamberoni al Prosciutto appetizer and the tiger prawns were plump and juicy. The prosciutto was thick but still crispy. I'd order this again. Same applies for the Spaghetti Carbonara. I loved this dish and wished I had ordered my own, rather than having to steal bites from my +1. My Saltimbocca alla Romana was a one-time thing. The veal cutlets were flavorless and tough. The ham and cheese topping was thick and hard, but did add much needed flavor to the dish. The demi-glace was okay.
I wouldn't hesitate coming back for the lovely ambiance, delicious food (if you order the right thing!), and fairly cheap prices. A Bellagio is a must for all the lovers out there... unless you are my ex boyfriend and his new girlfriend :DListed in: DATE NIGHT!

I am an Italian-American and cook risotto and polenta. First I had their clams as an appetizer. The broth was unappealing. The color was orange(?) and no garlic or lemon flavor. Not sure what this was about. Then I had Salmon risotto for the main course. I've never had runny risotto. The whole purpose of cooking risotto, it to keep cooking until all the juices are gone. The broth it was in was not very flavorful. My daughter had polenta. They use a course polenta. She was very unhappy with her meal as well.
We ate outside because the inside was very noisy. The outside area was intimate and we enjoyed that environment very much.
I won't be going back but still looking for a good Italian restaurant. -

This is one of the best Italian restaurants in the Bay Area. It is a very unassuming restaurant from the outside. In fact, unless you know it is there you will easily pass it by. Step inside and the restaurant feels elegant and clean. There are different sections to the restaurant and I actually like this compared to some other reviewers. It keeps the sound down and offers a fare amount of privacy.

My husband and I LOOOOVE this restaurant! We came here on our first date over two years ago and were just in awe of the excellence of the food, the decor, everything. It was simply beautiful. The service was excellent, very attentive...as I said before- the food- AMAZING... I had the Penne al Salmone and I think he had Raviolis. We've been back twice since that first date and love the flavor we get each time we try something new.

Pretty good Italian food here. This use to be a dear friend's favorite restaurant and we went there in celebration of her life. I could see why she loved going here. Friendly family atmosphere and good service. Everything was good. I would come back to dine for sure.

This is my new favorite local Italian Restaurant. My old fav in LG had greatly fallen off and I wandered into A Bellagio on a whim and was blown away. The portion sizes aren't huge but, wow am I impressed by the menu. It has a great ambiance and the wine selection is pretty good. I enjoyed it so much that I have been there by myself and eaten at the bar. Both times in the Dinning room I had great service. Even the manager came out to make sure our large party was being handled properly. My favorite dish is the Bucatini Bellagio. I have also tried their Ravioli, Gnocchi and Oso Bucco and enjoyed all of them. I can say this will be my new go to for Italian.

Wasn't that impressed, service was ok, plates were still on when entrees came...made it so we had to clear them...for food, chicken was ok, not something to brag about and steak which was special was grisly, only half could be eaten and not enjoyably and we mentioned to server and she said she'd see what she could do...so we got stuck with a dessert, but while waiting for dessert we ordered espresso and had to pay for that and dessert really wasn't that good. Server did try but overly between waiting for tables to be moved, plates left on table and food...I'd say try another place.

I heard good things about this place and i decided to take my girlfriend here for her birthday. The place is fancy and not your average Italian restaurant.
For starter, we ordered the Gamberoni Al Prosciutto, I thought it was good and the prosciuttos were crispy as it should be. However, my girlfriend thought it was too salty for her taste. The shrimp was a little dry but sweet.
For our entrée I got the Scaloppine Ai Funghi (veal) while my girlfriend settled for the Spaghetti Allo Scoglio. If you like to eat big pasta portion then this place is not for you, instead we got a decent portion which is just right for us. The plates came out hot and you can see steam coming out of the pasta.
I tried my girlfriend's pasta 10 minutes later and it was still hot! The pasta sauce has quality, it was not thick but instead light in taste. With pasta I could only take a couple bites and be sick and tired of it, but not this, the sauce was perfect for my palate. My girlfriend complemented on how the seafood was fresh and not overcooked.
The veal was tender and the sauce complemented the veal perfect, it did not overpower the meat. The cooked vegetables were cooked perfectly.
If you want great customer service with good quality Italian food, I recommend you this try this place! -

A Bellagio is an elegant and modern Italian restaurant that's hidden from the main street of downtown Campbell. I took my sister here for dinner to celebrate her graduation and we ordered the: burrato cheese platter with prosciutto and tomatoes, Bucatini Bellagio, and the mushroom ravioli dinner special.
I didn't find the appetizer to be anything special, but I really enjoyed my Bucatini Bellagio. The pasta was perfectly al dente, thick with the egg yolk, and flavorful with pancetta bits. It was delicious. My sister's ravioli was light, although the sauce wasn't nearly as tasty as my bucatini dish. The wine list was extensive and reasonably priced, and entrees will run an average of $15 - $20 per dish.
While the service and ambiance were nice enough, I found the experience pleasant although not entirely memorable. What I did find annoying was that I ended up being overcharged on my credit card nearly $30 over. When I called to complain, they fixed the bill, but didn't really offer any other sort of compensation or discount. With that being said, while the dish I had was tasty, it may not warrant a second visit. -

Came here with my girlfriend randomly one night as we were debating on where to eat. I walked in and was IMMEDIATELY drawn to the overall feel of the place, it felt like a classy upscale place. The hostess immediately greeted us and we were given a table asap. The server came after a few minutes and was extremely informative (as I was a little curious about some of the items on the menu). We got our food rather quickly (maybe 10 minutes max after ordering) and GOOD LORD was it good. I was absolutely blown away by the quality tastes and stellar presentation of the dishes. This place is quite costly, but it's most definitely worth every penny. I will go back whenever I muster up some more cash (as the last time completely nuked my wallet).

Lobster pappardelle.
This isn't something I'd typically order. When it comes to seafood and pasta, I prefer linguini with clams. And when it comes to lobster, I like mine 'rolled. But my date suggested it, and I thought, "Why not?"
This pasta was fantastic. The pappardelle--easily overcooked--was done al dente and bathed in a rich, creamy tomato sauce studded with chunks of lobster. I couldn't stop eating it, and when I did (because it was all gone), I wanted more.
The burratta caprese appetizer with prosciutto was also excellent, as was our other shared entree, the osso bucco.
I dined at A Bellagio once years ago and vaguely remembered liking it. This time I'll definitely remember loving our food. So nice to have this Italian restaurant in little old downtown Campbell, as the more sophisticated older sister to Cafe Campbell and La Pizzeria. Pricier too, yes, but perfect for a nice date night.Listed in: Campbell: Orchard City?…

We hosted our daughters engagement party here on Thursday with 38 guest. I must say that after reading some of the other reviews, we were a little nervous. Turns out that they far exceeded our expectations. The food was very good and the staff could not have been better. They attended to all of our guest needs with smiles, friendliness and professionalism. Luigi did a great job answering all of our questions, helping plan the event and kept everything running at a perfect pace during the evening. It's Saturday morning and we are still getting calls from guest remarking how impressed they were.
Thanks A Bellagio! -

First off I want to say the entrees were awesome. Two of us had the Spaghetti Carbonara ($15.95), Dan made a healthier choice going with the Pollo alla Valdostana ($18.50), and I ate my entire Scaloppine alla Pizzalola ($19.50). The big disappoint was right at the start in the Fritto Misto all'Italiana. The calamari tubes and tentacles were very chewy as were the tiny shrimp and the zucchini was just sort of "eh". NOT good. We reluctantly told our server and she promised complimentary limoncellos for dessert instead. The first star was lost in the chewy appetizer and our server's lack of suggestion or recommendation for a wine pairing. She basically could've said anything for us to happily comply, but no response left us to "just decide" on something.
Because we were with friends and because the entrees were tasty we were able to appreciate the ambiance of the restaurant. The decor, lighting, and noise level was pleasant, elegant with a rustic flair. It was a little weird that there is a shelving unit positioned to separate a couple tables, that's fine, but it was being used as a station of sorts to place the water pitchers. We sat right next to this shelving unit.
We ate, enjoyed our complimentary limoncellos, shared a chocolate mousse four-ways (thank goodness because it was very rich and a tad on the heavy side) and departed pretty content.
Almost home we panicked to find that one of us left a clutch purse containing an iPhone, credit cards, etc., hanging on her chair right next to the shelving unit. We called right away to say we were returning and to ask if they could please go look for the clutch purse. The person (perhaps the manager?) who answered the phone quickly answered that they couldn't find the area we were describing, nor the chair, nor the clutch purse. Seriously?!? "It's where you keep the water pitchers" is what I wanted to say. For this, another star deducted from my review.
It seems that good food is the beginning of greatness for A Bellagio, but if good guest service (wine knowledge, finding out what guest wants when there's a mistake, and being able to let the guest think you actually care) isn't a focus for improvement then they may sadly just blend in with everybody else. These are behaviors that people will not come back for no matter how friendly the server, delicious the food, or pretty the ambiance. The prices for the food are reasonable and worth paying IF the dining experience is not just a second thought.
Three stars...
