Review from Mindy K.
Oakland, CA
We didn't stay here, so I can't review the lodging accomodations. But we went here twice - once for dinner and once for wine and music.
Right near "four corners", this is a nice spot for a quiet dinner. Entrees aren't cheap - about 20-25 bucks per person not including wine - but with such a short tourist season and having groceries flown in from Juneau, it's pretty understandable. The halibut was delicious but the real highlight was the homemade strawberry rhubarb pie a la mode!
We went back on Saturday night when the cafe features local music (led by the husband of the husband-wife pair of owners and joined by other folks in town) - you can dance to or just sit in one the chairs packed into the smallish dining room and have a glass of wine (one of the only places to get wine in town) and relax.
The wife sells handmade hats, scarves and gloves and local knicknacks on the back wall.
Also - check out the locally carved masks by local artist Lou Camilou - they are amazing and some of the most interesting pieces in town are here in the cafe.
