I only come here for two things: root beer floats and cheese curds.
I should actually only come for the curds, since root beer floats are so easy and cheap to make, but ehh...two birds one stone?
Like Judi S. said, the service is definitely friendly, fast, and accurate. Their neighbors (McDonald's) never get an order right, WTF Ronald McDonald? -

I certainly missed out on the good service here. When I walked in I was standing at the counter for awhile before a female worker yelled be with you in a minute from the back.
I got the KFC twister I used to love. It was seriously not edible. The chicken was so dry and salty. The tortilla was hard and there was almost NO sauce. Last time I eat there. -

This place rocks! It's super clean, cheerful and is good for all family members. It even has a free juke box located in the middle of the diningroom.
The service is friendly, fast and accurate. They serve both A&W and KFC's menu here so you can have a rootbeer float with your crispy chicken strips. -

First off, I love root beer. A&W makes a good root beer. Really good. The fact that there is a restaurant dedicated to the goodness of A&W root beer makes me happy. Really happy.
As far as the food goes, I've never tried anything except for the chili cheese dog. It's actually quite yummy! The dog has a bit of snap, the roll is good, and the chili has a nice flavor. And instead of using real cheese, they go the all-American route by using good ol' cheese sauce, which makes the dog extremely messy but also kind of unique, so I find myself craving one every once in a while.
Their fries are good too. I've also never had a problem with the service/cleanliness of the establishment.
With all that said, the best part of the A&W Restaurant is ordering a root beer float in a frosted (aka refrigerated) mug. It's important to get it in the mug and not a regular drink cup - it seriously improves everything about it. I think that some A&W Restaurants use soft serve in their floats. This particular one uses hand scooped vanilla ice cream. :)
They do have a regular soda machine (boo, boring), burgers, and a lot of fried chicken. The fried chicken is actually by way of the KFC that shares the restaurant space. Therefore, this is basically an A&W/KFC. And it's basically just fast food.
But it's one of the few A&W restaurants in Orange County/Southern California AND the food/drinks/floats happen to be really good so yes. I am proud to say that I am a fan. -

hmmm so normally i don't go to a&w, but i have fond memories of going there when i was young. trying to spark up childhood memories, i tried it again. unfortunately, i'm gonna have to give it a 3-star. Here's why:
What I ate:
papa burger double: the picture makes it look huge! but it was smaller than i expected, and the beef was dry and burnt. i know they were going for that flame-broiled thing, but... no.
chili fries: these were actually alright. the fries are pretty crisp, and the cheese/chili to fries ratio was pretty spot on!
What I should've eaten:
root beer float
chili cheese dog.
I'll come back some other time, and maybe my opinion would change. Cheap, but i guess you get what you pay for. I thought it was some magical fast food restaurant like i imagined it to be, but i guess not. hehehe...
