My nails were excellent and lasted a long time without chipping. My nails were dipped. I received many compliments!

They do a wonderful job! Very kind and talented. Prices are very affordable. They take their time and are detail oriented.

Don't bother going to this business . They are shysters . I dropped off my Autistic daughter for a simple manicure , which should have costed $18. Knowing fully well that my daughter was disabled , they up-sold her, telling her that a simple manicure was no good and that she needed gel because it lasts one week longer . Instead of $18, they stuck me with a $43 bill. I tried to talk to them about the matter , but they don't answer the phone .
If for nothing else , I cannot support a business that takes advantage of disabled people .

I've been going here for years. They work really hard and do such a good job at a low price! They always try to fit you in for an appointment as soon as possible. Love this place and recommend 10/10!

Went yesterday with my mom for our summer pedi's and was pleasantly surprised by this place! I live about 5 minutes from this place but didn't even know it was here. The prices are decent and the 2 ladies that work there were hard at work with the constant flow of customers. They might benefit from 3ppl working there because in the middle of service, she would pause to pick up the phone a few times. I didn't mind, but some others might. 2 pedicures was $62 (not gel), and I will be back! It helps that while you want you can run next door for delicious pastries at Potomac Sweets!

Went to A&L nails for the first time yesterday in kensington md. The atmosphere was super calm and relaxing. The salon was also very clean and they took corona precautions accordingly. The two women (i didn't catch their names) were so sweet! My nail technician worked very hard on my long awaited cuticles and took her time making them look the best that they could be. I definitely recommend this place, my nails have never looked so good!!!

This place is a gem among gems! Being from out of town, I just happened upon it as I tried to wait out traffic, and because her client had canceled, Lin gave me an amazing gel manicure and saved my sanity in the process! The establishment is small, cute, and clean. The color selection was wonderful, with lots of shades. Lin herself was so genuine. Her attention to detail and my long neglected cuticles was so refreshing. I don't have before and after photos, but if I did they would be hard to believe! The technology was a touch dated, but everything was organized and worked. Lin even was understanding about my lack of cash and we were able to work it out. Overall I couldn't have been happier with my chance encounter and will try to come back (with an actual apt scheduled )

I have gotten my nails done 4 times there. The first time, I got acrylics with a friend. It went good, nothing to complain. Second time I got acrylics again and my appointment was at 5 PM. I went there on time and walked in but no one seemed to take me. Minutes after I asked why they are being late and the lady told me "your appointment is at 5:30PM" which wasn't bc when I called to take the app i noted the time so I wouldn't be late or else. Which means they lied about it thinking I was dumb enough to believe that. They were just late bc they didn't finish their other clients nails. My acrylics were fine but the equipments isn't sanitary bc they keep using old tools. Third time, my mom and I got gel nails. A few days later we took a shower and both of our gel manicures fell off, by just taking a simple shower. I went back in the salon and complained to the lady who did them with pictures too. She told me "I wasn't the one doing that since it was not good". I even showed the desk where I got it done to show her that she was the one who did them. But she denied. Once again she lied! And the fourth time I got acrylics. I took 2 freaking hours. The acrylics were way too thick and heavy that hours after I got them done my nails were hurting so bad I could feel my heart flow in my nails. The lady who did them also cut me on the sides of the nails and the nail polish had some weird air bubbles. Also when you enter the shop, a strong odor of nail remover is present in the whole room. I do not recommend this nail salon at all because they are NOT sanitary, they are LIARS, and do a BAD job.

They are nice but not very sanitary. They reuse the food scrubbers, toe separators and tried to use a sanding power tool
On me which is illegal. I will not return or recommend.

I guess business is so great here that they can turn away patrons.
I walk in the shop around four thirty, I can see its a small business but the lady at the front nail station doesn't speak right away, so when she finally does she tells me "we busy come tomorrow" in which I replied "if I leave now I'm never coming back."
Where is good customer service?! at least ask me if I mind waiting, I don't but wasn't given the option, or explained that they go buy appointments if that was the case.
*sigh* I can't vouch for their work buy the customer experience sucked
