Thiiiis place!!
I love this florist shop.
It's a Korean owned mom and pop shop and I think the other employees are also family members.
The store is kind of shabby. They have like wood plank floors and no parking anywhere around it, so you have to park in residential, but it's like a 2 minute walk.
Prices are OK, I didn't even mind paying the Valentine's Day markups because they're so sweet.
My senior prom corsage and boutonniere set were from here. And every year since then, I've gotten my mom Valentines Day bouquets here.
They're really sweet and help me pick out arrangements every time and I always leave happy.
The flowers usually last a week or two out of the shop and my mom's always happy.
Not a thing to complain about here =) -

I've been going to A&K for a long time. I used them for boutonnières for my high school junior prom and senior ball, bouquets and centerpieces for my wedding, general gift bouquets, corsages for my sons' junior proms and senior ball, and my honey gets me bouquets here from time to time as well.
The flower quality is fantastic. The prices are good. The service is usually fine, though sometimes I get a guy that seems kind of distracted, but overall the people are sweet.
I don't mind the parking situation. I do wish, though, that they would get an updated corsage example book. I swear to you that's the same book I picked things out of for my h.s. prom - it's weird to think my kids picked from the same selections! Plus the pictures are largely faded and the book is quite dog-eared. Other than that very minor complaint...
I will continue to go here for flowers whenever possible, and I will recommend others to as well. -

I have been coming here for YEARS. I ONLY buy one flower at a time. I have NO experience in buying multiple flowers or bouquets so i cant really tell you how the prices compare to other places and what not.
What I can tell you though is I think this place is great for those RANDOM and SPONTANEOUS single flower gifts that you can SURPRISE someone with. It is extremely hard to find a place that can sell you JUST a single flower without all the crap like wrapping paper, colored paper, or that extra green leaf thing (all this does come free if you prefer it). Safeway sells single roses but they do not look as fresh, is wrapped up in all the mumbo jumbo, AND its kind of expensive. I like the flower to be SIMPLE, clean, fresh, and would look nice naked in a thin clear vase. No big deal. Oh yea, its pretty cheap too.
Now I'm not good with many of the flower names but I've purchased single roses, lilies, sunflowers? and probably some other type of flower that i can't name right now? I dunno. BUT, the flowers come in MANY different colors and you can just take your pick. They usually have plenty to choose from and you can just grab them, pay, and go.
The shop is family owned. There is the mom, dad, son, and probably some other siblings that help run the place. They are all very friendly and I have NEVER had ANY problems with them. If you don't know what the hell you're doing there or don't know what to buy, just ASK. They are very helpful and will work with you to make your flower purchase the way you imagined it or how it "should be." (I don't care about how it should be. I like my single flower gift, dammit!)
I'd recommend this place. It's convenient, cheap, and gets the job done. (Don't expect miracles from a flower gift if you already f*cked up though!! You need a "make up bag" (LV, Burberry, Chanel, Marc Jacbos - something EXPENSIVE) to fix that.. Har Har, I kid.. but not really.
Oh yea, if you're buying a single rose, try to pay cash. I think the minimum is $5 for a card purchase.
Parking: Park in front of the shop or around the corner in the neighborhood. Don't park ON Lundy, that's kind of dangerous. -

The owner is very nice. We talked about bamboo and how to care for them.
Did you know that bamboo thrive better with a rusty nail in the water? It likes iron. Did you know you should keep them away from light so the leaves will get darker? Did you know you should put in natural unpolished rocks to sit on the roots? -

Milpitas, CA
This looks and feels like mom n pops flower shop. They don't have a large selection and are hot helpful to a customer at all. The price is way too expensive for basic floral designs.
One great thing is that they are right in front of my house so when I really need flowers and have forgotten to go to Safeway, no need for a long drive. -

Nice mom and pop stand. They have a decent selection of flowers. I bought a corsage for half the price of the places I called. The flowers and ribbon were beautiful. My son's date loved her flowers and they lasted a very long time.

Mom & Pop flower shop with amazing flowers and even better prices!!
Everytime I've been here, I've been wow-ed with how helpful they are here! The first time I came here, I was overwhelmed but I left with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers thanks to A n K flowers~!!
You can't beat the prices here, a gorgeous bouquet will cost around 20 bucks or so... try and find the same one at another overhyped florist shop and it will easily be 40+ bucks.
Support mom + pop businesses, but also-- support honest businesses as this one is!!
I have found my go-to florist shop!! -

Small family owned flower SHACK! I love it. =)
I grabbed some fresh tulips for my mother on Mother's Day morning. There were only 7 stems of tulips left selling for $2.00 per stem. Usually the the last flowers left are wilted and ugly. NOT HERE! there were still fresh and lively. It was nice seeing a family owned store for a change. The mother, father, and son where helping out all the customers and wrapping the flowers in either cellophane of green tissue paper.
Of course being a big holiday to get flowers, the prices jumped a little. But I did not think it was too bad considering it being Mother's Day. A vase of flowers raged from $25-$60.
I recommend this place. Support the small business owners! -

Really love this little family flower shop. Managed by a Japanese family - a son and his lovely and friendly mom. She helped me with a simple bridal bouquet using tulips and white roses, and the result is beautiful. The boutonneire was very well made, it held its shape very well. Best of all, the price is so reasonable compared to the other store across the street which does not have tulips and would not charge me anything less than $100. I'm definitely going back for all my flower needs.

They didn't have baby roses :(. And the corsage band was too big for my wrist. I had to wear it further up my arm. There's also no parking lot, so you'll have to park on the street.
We got corsages and boutonnieres here for both Junior and Senior prom. The owners are polite and there's a wide range of ribbon selections. They were really pretty. :D It's a great place for affordable flowers for prom! -

Milpitas, CA
This flower shop is the perfect place if teenagers are looking from cheap and beautiful corsages and boutonnieres.
The shop looks a little run down on the outside, but the adorable old japanese couple running the place makes it all the worth while. They were really nice and helped me pick out what flowers and colors would be perfect for my date and I. The corsage and boutonniere were only 19.50 for both. They charge per flower you choose. They were able to make it for the next day and it was fresh and beautiful when I picked up it.
I'm definitely coming here for other flower needs. -

ATTENTION ALL MALES: If you want to trick your girl into thinking you spent a ton of money for the flowers you're going to get her for Valentines/Birthdays/Apology/etc....you might want to think about stopping by here.
Once you figured out that the parking is in the residential area, you will wonder why this place has great ratings. From the outside, it looks rundown and abandoned- but give it a chance. Go inside and look at the quality and prices of the flowers- you'll be sold. Its a family own business, so they put their heart and soul in this place.
Roses, Orchids, tulips, sunflowers, corsage and boutonnieres- they have it ALL. If you want good quality and is affordable. This place is for you. I live in Milpitas and useto go to Marlows to purchase flowers. WORSE DECISION EVER!! I bought a bouquet of long stem roses there for $110 dollars, and found a similar one at A&K for only $65.00 :( (These are the more expensive ones, you can find a dozen roses already in a vase ranging from $25-35)
I'm glad I can share this knowledge with you. Hope you will fall in love with it as I did. I'm sure your wallet will. :D -

Came here after reading ALL of the woooooonderful Yelp reviews and survey says, RRRRRRRRRRRRR! Or to put it another way,....No soup for you! Or if you like,......really? I mean,......reeeeally? You get the point. This place reminded me of the movie your buddy tells you is awesome. You have to go, it's soooo good, as in "this place is dope", etc. You go see it on his recommendation and it STINKS! I mean not just ok, but bad, really bad. If this were a movie I would have walked out but in this case I was in a bad spot due to time and was too far from my go to place to recover. With that said here are the specifics:
So I came here for a special occasion bouquet. The nice little ol lady at the counter spoke practically zero English so from the beginning it was a struggle. And please, business owners: If you have a customer facing business is it soooo hard to find someone who friggn speaks English to greet and service customers? My guess is grandma is a very inexpensive employee. Anyhow, not only did she not realize I walked in, as she was reading a book with her back to the door, she didn't acknowledge me after she did see me. I don't know, I guess I would be lacking confidence as well if I could barely put together three words in English. When I started asking questions she looked at me as if I had arrived from Mars and wanted her to take me to her leader!
So then she runs off and summons her son or grandson? He was really no improvement. At least grandma smiled and seemed friendly. The man I spoke to had the personality of a soaking wet dish rag. He seemed irritated that he had to stop what he was doing and tend to a customer and his attitude showed. After talking to him for a few minutes I was struck with the thought that he would great,...as a solo researcher or programmer! Regarding the flowers, he explained that they carry local flowers and not big bloom roses, aka, Columbian etc. OK, no problem I reasoned. I bought a dozen for cheap. THIS is apparently what drives the great reviews here. Cheap, cheap, cheap,...think Safeway flowers but sold out of roadside SHACK! Well some of us enjoy customer service, selection, product knowledge, expertise arrangment land friendly service, not to mention English. The inside looks as if they are nearly going out of business as there are so few flowers to choose from and a narrow selection.
If you are looking for great customer service, selection, product knowledge and creativity,....choose another florist. I really should have gone to my "go-to" (Fuji Florist in Santa Clara). I just thought I'd try these guys on Yelp reviews. It does not happen often but I was definitely burned by reviews here clearly slanted towards cheap shacks. Well now I know. Oh,...almost forgot to mention,....half the roses never opened and the bouquet last only a few days. So much for the quality of his local vendor supply. Obviously will not go back. -

Wow, I didn't know people started rating this place but YES, I love A and K flowers, they are probably one of the best floral boutiques around here and they have THE freshest and most beautiful arrangements I've seen yet.
They are very accommodating and I've come here more than once for flowers, boutonnieres, and the like for dances and even for larger events. Their roses are AMAZING ... I got some for my high school graduation a few years back and they lasted over two weeks with normal maintenance! HIGHLY recommended. -

This little flower shop is one of the best ones I've ever been to. I always try to get my flowers here for any special occasion. The outside can look a bit ragged, but once you see the flowers, I think you'll be happy you bought from this place. The best thing I like about this place is the roses. They smell so good and look good... very vivid red.
Don't waste your money buying some crappy flowers at Safeway or a convenient store. If you wanna buy some good flowers at a decent price, come to this place. -

this place is dope, they sell flowers.
from the outside, it looks like a shack, beaten down, and pretty old. but don't let that fool you son. the owners are nice and polite. they ain't got much do in a flower shop so you know they gonna really attentive and help you out with whatever you need.
oh, and they have nice roses. 1.50 each, comes with that baby breath stuff with cellophane and a pretty bow -

San Jose, CA
One of the most inexpensive family-owned flower shop there is locally.
Perhaps the parking was the only major con about this place, but otherwise, the flowers are incredibly crafted into a piece of art. At first, you would look around the place thinking: "The shop's super simple with wooden floors and walls, the place not overfilled with various flowers, so would I get a crappy bunch of flowers for what cheap price I pay for?"
BUT WHEN IN FACT: the son of the dear old woman that is behind all of the beautiful creations is very good and experienced at picking out the right flower combos there are possible in the shop. Anyone can play around with the colors of the flowers since they have quite a variety of them while still paying a thrifty amount compared to Safeways or Costcos.
My boyfriend and I went to prom with a beautiful hand-crafted corsage ($32) and boutonniere ($10) set that we picked out along with the help of the man behind the counter and may I say, I never appreciated floral arrangement as much as I did with my experience with them :) -

I use to buy florals here (for any special occasion) because I lived in the area and it was convenient for me and supporting local mom/pop business.
I am not sure if the prices went up now since I haven't been back in a few years.
No parking so you'll have to park on the street and just order the florals! -

I am so thrilled I found this place! Thank you fellow Yelpers! I was looking for a sympathy bouquet for some dear family friends and the employees at A and K really took care of me. They all greeted me and were totally friendly. I was looking to spend around $60-$70 on what was available in store that day. I ended up with a gorgeous bouquet of a dozen long stemmed white roses- vase, ribbon, and all; for $35. A dozen poor quality, short stemmed roses at the grocery store comes out to $60. I really hope my next bouquet from the bf is from this great shop. Excellent customer service and product!

Review from Peter P.
This was pretty much the only place I knew that specialized in flowers. I needed a rose and it was $3 even. I assume its a decent price, but I wouldn't know. The flower I got look alright, but nothing amazing, as I've seen better. The place also sells balloons for parties or gifts. The place is like a fridge though, so don't go wear a shirt and shorts like I did, or you'll be 'perky'.
Note to guys: buy flowers within hours of when you're about to give it! No one told me they start decomposing or whatever within 4-5 hours! I bought it the day before and had to dip the stem in water... it didn't really get that messed up, though you notice some discoloration at some parts if you look closely -

Small family flower shop that you'd generally overlook as you drive by. I placed an order during lunch and was a bit disappointed with the lack of advice and suggestions. Tried to place an order for a gerbrera daisies arranged with a mix of other flowers and they just suggested the tulips sitting next to them. Ho hum :(
$40+ dollars for just about 2 dozen daisies and tulips to me sounds a bit expensive. $40 for a fairly simple arrangement is pretty expensive when costco is right around the block and has some really nice looking basic arrangements for nearly half the price. They might not offer customization, but they're fairly good if you're in for a last minute for something you did wrong haha...
Pickup service near the end of the day was a little bit more attentive. Instead of the younger 30-something guy taking my order I had an older more attentive lady putting finishing touches on my arrangement. I almost imagine if I had came here in the evening to place my order I would have ended up with a better looking mix of flowers.
I'd recommend coming here and looking for the older lady to take your order. Good place for a small specialty arrangement I'd figure if you were in for a pinch and needed something fast or conveniently located nearby. BTW Park on the street that's right behind the store. Don't try to park on spots on Lundy. -

I've been here a couple times now. I went there today to buy some flowers. Stopped by the flower store down the street just to see if their selection would be better, but then decided that it wasn't.
The place is a family owned place. The first time I went here the little lady helped me and this time it seemed like the whole family was there. I found pretty flowers for my best friend's mother and for my own mother. My experience here was great and i would for sure go back again. -

I wanted to get a corsage for my girlfriend for her birthday. In the past I have called around and ahead of time to see if a place would make one on short notice. This time I drove up to their shop, about 3:30pm and a very pleasant lady and gentleman were working on some arrangements. As soon as I came in, they stopped and agreed to make a beautiful corsage from 3 pink carnations. The hardest part for me was picking out the flowers from the probably 1000 that were there, but then also finding the perfect ribbon out of their selection of about 20 to choose from. I am not saying it is fair to do, but if you are in a rush, try this place. 30 minutes and $15 later and I was wrist deep in brownie points. Thanks A & K!

I've decided to reveal one of my many secrets.
I've kept this florist shop as a hidden gem because only exclusive people in my life would get flowers from here. I know what you're thinking. He probably gets all his girlfriends flowers from here. Not! I know better. My mother was an amazing gardener and had one of largest orchid collections in the Bay Area. I had first hand education on what to select, how to grow, how to prune, and what to look for. If specific flowers weren't in season, she would come here to pick up her flowers. Locally grown and carefully selected from a private family orchard, A & K carries extraordinary flowers that are much more scented and fully developed compared to commercial stores. It's all about scent and vibrant colors when selecting flowers. For years, we'd pick up flowers for family, relatives, and dear friends here. The florist shop is family owned and takes special orders and requests.
This evening, I decided to come back here and meet with the owners. They're so helpful and always asking for follow ups. It's a joy to tell them about the reactions when I present their flowers to my family and friends. So I placed my Christmas order for my Ninangs (Filipino for God Mothers), Aunties, and my favorites. I'm glad they're not on Yelp to find out where their amazing flowers come from. Shhhhh! Please don't give away my secret. Let's keep it between us... for now. -

I've been using this flower shop for four years now. I have NEVER had any issues with my purchases and most of them have exceeded what I would consider a long lifespan for cut flowers. The shop is clean and easy to get in and out of. They also do baloons but I don't use those nearly as much as I just stop by to get some flowers for my wife.

All I've got to say is A&K is legit. I've been going here since my middle school days for my 8th grade boutonniere and corsage, my high school junior and senior balls, and for several occasions ever since. This is a small little shack but its the quality and service that keeps me coming back. My mom loves the orchids that I bring home for her on the special occasions. I even ordered all the flower arrangements here for my nephew's funeral a few years ago. This family really knows how to make an occasion special and they will have you set up within a few minutes! I must say, probably the best bouquet of roses I've ever received.

I never knew this place existed, until my fiance brought me here one day on Mother's day to buy flowers for his mother and mine as well. Before physically stepping foot in this place, he would give me flowers on special occasions. I loved how they were arranged, smell, and lasted. My impression was that this was a family owed business, which it is. They are very professional but also very friendly. Their prices are great. I'm a bit sadden that they do not do weddings. But for my other flower needs I will definitely be at A and K.

I love this flower shop! The prices are cheap and affordable and the quality is great! You can purchase a bouquet of flowers for a special occasion or just a rose or couple of roses just to make your special one smile. The outside of the shop looks ordinary and you wouldn't think that they have such a nice variety of flowers inside. So next time you need some flowers check this shop out!

They always have what I need at very very reasonable prices. I got my prom corsage here, flowers for mother's day, and they even gave me a discount on a school event. The flowers are always fresh and vibrant, and much nicer and cheaper than other places in the area. There's also more of a variety to choose from. The owners are also very cordial, even though the lady doesn't speak English well, her husband and son do. And of course, it smells good in there.

I went to A K flower yesterday and that place is freezing, I guess that's how they keep their flowers fresh, I bought a dozen rose for $13 total, price is very reasonable to me, and the roses are way better than what I get from online stores. I know where I will be shopping flowers from now on.
