I am a traditionalist when it comes to a haircut. I typically shave my head so I tend to avoid uber-expensive salons. Exploring my new neighborhood, I discovered this gem in a bleak looking shopping plaza.
The interior was pristine with granite counter tops and several flat screen TV's with various sport channels playing, (guess you can't have it all).
Spartak (what-a-name!) was delightful. I figured he was the son of the owner as he couldn't have been a day over 21. I was a bit tentative until seeing his Arizona Barber's License proudly framed and displayed in his work station.
Spartak was friendly, polite and precise. I love the old school barber shops because of their attention to detail (hot foam, razor sharp shave, hot towel and mini massage, hello?!). I will gladly pay $20 plus tip for this type of experience. Well done A&D!
