It's a matter trust baby!
I read the reviews here and called Frank about a month ago. I was screwing around with a filing cabinet that I had broken into (it was mine so don't call the cops) after I had lost the key and broke the lock. He was very up front on the telly, but I got busy.
Three weeks later I called him at 4:30 from work when I found out last minute that I'd be working from home the next day. Frank and I agreed on a time for the next morning. Wha??? Something must be wrong for him to come out on such short notice.
The next morning he showed up 10 mins early. I'm not used to punctuality when people come to work on my home so I was pleasantly surprised. I showed him the 5 doors I needed re-keyed, he gave me a price per lock and set to work.
I don't let people roam around my house and usually watch them like a hawk, but Frank was such a nice guy and was so focused on the work, I just checked in from time to time.
Frank is a pro. He matched the new cylinder for the front door so that it looked awesome, re-keyed 5 doors, then took a look at the filing cabinet that I had gone at with a screwdriver and hammer. He wasn't sure he could fix it, but 15 mins later he came to the front door with the three sets of keys that I had asked for. On the keyring was also the filing cabinet keys. I inspected the cabinet lock and it looked "brand new." He had replaced it and a mechanism to make it work!!!
I'm using Frank as my sole locksmith when I need his services again and I'm recommending him to friends. This business can be shady, but Frank is not only trustworthy, he's a pro and cares about customer satisfaction.
He even gave me some great security tips on top of it all!!

Frank is the ultimate professional. After my boyfriend locked us out, in a panic he called 24 Hour Emergency Locksmith in San Carlos as it was the first search result that came up. 24 Hour Emergency Locksmith quoted us $15 for the service call and $35 for labor. As we waited for their arrival, I started to read their Yelp reviews. To my discomfort, most of their reviews warned of escalating prices once they get to your door. So in the meantime, I called Frank who assured us that he will get us in the door for $65 flat. It's a good thing that I called Frank because when 24 Hour Emergency Locksmith arrived, everything that the bad Yelp reviews warned about happened. The price immediately shot up to $180 when 24 Hour got here. Good thing I had already talked to Frank, so we paid 24 Hour the $15 Service Call charge and send them send them back but not without them trying to verbally intimidate us first.
Frank got to our place in 10 minute and got us in the door in another 10. He was upfront with all his fees and educated us on everything that he was going to do. Even with the $15 that we paid to the other locksmith, we only paid a total of $80, which is still $100 less than what 24 Hour Emergency was trying to extort from us. We will definitely go to Frank first for all of our locksmith needs in the future. He deserves every 5-star review that he had gotten on this site. He runs a honest business and we highly recommend him. -

Called Frank on a Saturday afternoon. He was able to come out within an hour to help re-key the locks to our new house and install new locks. He was very professional and even laid out all his tools on a towel to protect my floors. He noticed there were toys in the house and even asked if it was okay to lay out the small parts since he noticed there were kids.
He did the job quickly and efficiently and even offered a small discount :) -

I totally agree with everyone else who gave Frank 5 stars! I called him at 6pm on a Tuesday night to rekey a house I just bought. He came right away (he was so fast he actually arrived at the house before I did)! Very professional and respecful -- he even took his shoes off every time he came in the house, which was a giant pain for him since one lock was in the house and the other 2 were in the garage. He was really fast, probably under 30 minutes for 3 locks and a few sets of keys, and the price was great. I even tried to tip him for doing such a good job and he wouldn't take it! Great guy and great service.

This place is awesome, had a key issue problem for a business and they were there in 20 minutes to change the locks. Rekeyed both locks and made 7 keys...done & done! Frank was very nice and did the job as quoted, actually a bit cheaper. Great business!

I cannot believe the service. I called on a Sunday and was told it would be about 30 minutes (this was at 8:00 am) and guess what he was there in 30 minutes and his first statement was I hope you did not have to wait too long. Very sincere, very quick, very neat and by far the best prices. He re-keyed my whole house -

Being in real estate I often required the services of a locksmith, but often found myself being the one changing the locks because of the cost and unreliability of people that I had hired in the past. Then someone referred me to Frank and now I never hesitate to make the call whenever I have a problem requiring a locksmith. He is honest, meticulous, and very reasonably priced.

We had Frank over twice the last couple of months to re-key one of the French doors. The lock was always very hard to use but after Frank serviced it, it is so easy to lock and unlock now. Frank was flexible with his schedule and his rate is good.
The 2nd time Frank came out he gave me a $10 discount without me asking.
He will be our go-to locksmith. -

The rumors are true.
When I got into a lock-out frenzy today, I Yelped "locksmiths" then called Frank. I couldn't get my key to open my mailbox. He said no problem--he could be at my house in two hours. A few minutes after we hung up, I wondered if a little silicone spray might help. Sure enough, after I sprayed the key and the lock I quickly opened the mailbox. I guess after 30 years of use it needed a mini lube job.
I then called Frank and left him a message saying I'd fixed my problem. A few minutes later he returned my call saying he wanted to let me know he'd goten my message, and was glad I'd been able to fix my problem.
When someone has this many five-star reviews, there's a reason. Use Frank! He's the best... even when there's no problem at all. -

Frank rocks. Hands-down. Was very courteous and very professional. We are not the biggest yelp reviewers but after the experience with A Acme and Frank we just HAD to review him. He got to our house early. He went through every one of our questions thoroughly and even fixed some door/door knobs that the previous owner had installed incorrectly. We can't wait to recommend Frank to all of our other friends going forward.

My outdoor emergency key had gone missing. I have had construction workers and a cleaning lady come in and use that key but never found a new spot to hide the key after the construction job was done and the cleaning lady let go.
Worried, I called Frank this morning and he was very kind; said he could get there in 40 minutes. When that was too early - he was able to accommodate my 11 am time slot.
Needless to say, I found the key! I called Frank one hour before he was to arrive and instead of saying something grumpy about it, he said, " Oh good, that will save you some money." Clearly he is all about customer service. I am adding his number to my cell phone. Once you find a little treasure like a good locksmith person - hang on to them. You never know when you will need them. -

I had Frank rekey some locks at my house. He was prompt, professional, and VERY reasonably priced. After completing the work on three locks he had to return to instal a lock I bought (I bought the wrong one initially)--and he did not charge me a service call for the second trip. Even taking this second trip out of the picture his services were still very reasonably priced. I highly recommend him and will certainly use him again when the need arises.

Frank came twice to my house since that I had a pretty old lock set and a very strange thick door. He helped search for suitable lockset but they turned out too expensive to me. But there is no problem. Frank offered to come again, did a re-key of my old lock and secured the old lock set with extra supporting material. The best part is, there is no extra charge. Will definitely recommend him to my friends.

Just got the keys to my new place and needed to look up a locksmith to rekey our locks. So of course I came to Yelp. I had to give Frank a try with all the 5 star reviews.
I called him Wednesday around 2pm and I had a 5pm appointment the very same day. He arrived before 5pm and started working right away. Very nice guy who is quite, efficient, and knows what he is doing. His prices are reasonable and he does quality work. I will recommend him to anyone for future work.

I have to agree with all of the reviews on here. Sometimes I have been underwhelmed by businesses that have had amazing Yelp reviews, but Frank exceeded all of my expectations and has earned a customer for life. I called him on a Saturday afternoon because I had lost our house keys and decided to change locks instead of just replacing the keys since the locks are really old and needed replacing anyway. Frank came 15 minutes after I called him and changed two sets of locks within 45 minutes or so. All that time, he was very personable and explained every step of the way to my 7-yr old who was curious to see what was happening. The $80 I paid to replace 2 sets of locks, 2 new sets of keys was well worth it especially since he miraculously kept our restless son sitting in one place for more than 5 minutes, a sight I never saw before or after. Thanks Frank!

I needed to get my business re-keyed and called Frank at Acme Mobile. He was clear about his rates and very flexible on scheduling. His prices were VERY reasonable (a lot better than his competitors) and I decided to have him do the job.
Frank arrived right on time, and went right to work. He evaluated the locks, changed them, and also made some repairs to the door mechanisms that he discovered. Frank was hardworking, honest, and even a bit shy, and he did a fantastic job at a great price. We even gave him a bit extra for a sandwich or coffee, and he was so shy about accepting it.
We will definitely call him again for our locksmith needs. -

I was inspired to finally get on Yelp and write a review because the service from Frank was so good and refreshing in a time when service seems to count for very little in most businesses.
The locks on our house were never put in correctly. I called Frank to have the problem rectified. He was on time, friendly and diagnosed the problem immediately. He not only fixed the locks, but showed me how to fix similar issues, if they should arise in the future, with the hope of saving me money. His cost was extremely reasonable. If there was a sixth star possibility, I would give it to him. -

The reviews are right: these guys are awesome.
I had someone steal a key, called ACME and within one hour they were out, replaced all six locks and charged only about $100 (including 6 new keys). Fast getting here, fast getting the work done and cheap.
I'd use them again immediately. In fact the main reason I'm writing the review is so that I don't forget that I used them to do the work. -

I had Frank come out to change a few locks on my clients business. His prices were very fair. He was on time and he did the job really fast.
In addition to changing the lock, he went out of his way to fix the door handle. It was not a major fix, but he fixed it without charging my client. Frank gets an "A+" for customer service! -

Awesome service. We called Frank to put in a deadbolt and fix the lock on a slider. He showed up a few minutes before the appointed time. He looked at our door and advised us about the pros and cons of putting in the deadbolt. After looking at the slider he concluded that something had broken inside the lock and he couldn't fix it. I would need to order a new one. He advised us honestly even though this resulted in him not doing any work. He even apologized that he couldn't help us. If I ever need a locksmith again I know to whom I'm going and I know who I'm going to recommend. Honest. Doesn't sell you stuff you don't need.

I didnt expect to be spending my MLK day off locked out of my bedroom...keys, purse, cell phone all locked into my room...that's what i get for turning my back on my nephews for tryin to do a load of laundry. Thank God my laptop was out in the living room so I was able to still yelp for a good locksmith. I had called around and received quotes just to come out and unlock in the 120 dollar range. I am so glad I was able to get a hold of Frank. For 65 bucks he came out to my house and was able to open my bedroom door in less than 10 minutes. Apparently he had a busy day and wasn't able to come out to my house till 4pm luckily he called ahead and said he was able to finish his other jobs sooner and was able to get to my house by 2:30. He felt bad that he couldn't get to my house sooner that he made me a couple extra spare keys for my bedroom door at no additional charge. Talk about a nice guy! I'm glad to say that its nice to know there are still honest hardworking people still out there who are not tryin to take you for all your money! Thanks Frank!

I had Frank come to my home to see if he could correct the problems another locksmith caused when re-keying my two front door locks. Both the doorknob and dead bolt were sticking or not turning at all. Frank was on time (a little early, in fact) and courteous. His price was reasonable to re-key the locks again. I wanted to see inside the locks to determine if they had been damaged by the previous locksmith. Frank showed me where the previous locksmith had ground down both cylinders and permanently damaged them. There was no reason to grind them down except that he could not get them to work without doing so. Frank replaced the two cylinders and they are both working like new. He made several keys for me. He does outstanding work and is reasonably priced. I will definitely call him again whenever I need a locksmith. Thanks Frank.

I called Frank out of desperation due to getting screwed over by Best Bay/Available Locksmith (see my other reviews.)
He quoted me a price that was $70 less than the other companies, and was here in 20 minutes, not hours.
$45 service fee, and $10 per lock, with two more free keys. He also replaced a few screws.
The other "locksmith" quoted me $49 service, and $29 for the locks over the phone, and when they showed up 3 hours late, I was quoted $49 service, plus $29 for EACH of the THREE locks... PLUS $5 PER DUPLICATE key. A grand total of $146.
Frank is fair, honest, prompt and nice.

For once, I am fully satisfied with a contractor. Acme's service is reliable and professional, yet affordable.
I called several companies to have our locks rekeyed, and Frank at Acme gave me the best rates. His schedule was most flexible as well, and he agreed to do the work at any time, even over the Thanksgiving weekend if necessary.
Unlike most other contractors, Frank showed up EARLY - which was great. He quickly started working, and in less than 30 minutes, he handed me a new set of keys to our house.
He was polite and respectful. Best part was when he took off his shoes upon entering WITHOUT having me even ask! No one else had been this courteous before, at least not in this country.

My appointment with Frank was at 7:30 AM because I wanted to get it done before I go to work. He showed up early and he re-keyed the whole house in little more than an hour. While he was working on re-keying, he was so nice, giving me some safety tips to make the house more secure. He was very professional and respectful. After I met some contractors who has no manners and professionalism, he gave me some peace of mind. I recommend him to everyone. -

I needed my garage door lock to be re-keyed matching the other door locks. I called Frank this Saturday morning at a moments notice and he was willing to come out to give an estimate. He offered a very cost effective solution, and went to buy the door locks without any markup or charge extra for buying the materials. During installation, he serviced all the locks to ensure everything was working correctly.
My experience with Acme Mobile was excellent. Unfortunately, Frank is not aware of Yelp and doesn't know about the consistent positive ratings of his business. I now have him permanently in my cell phone contacts. It's tough to find people you can trust. I wholeheartedly recommend Frank. -

Lost the key to the front door of our business at 5pm on a Sunday. I am so happy I called A Acme, because Frank arrived in 15 minutes, as he said he would on the phone, and saved the day! He quickly presented the most cost effective solution, and got the job done in 20 minutes at the most. Frank is professional and I will use him again someday.

Stop your search, stop reading and call Frank. We had a non-urgent lock that needed to be fixed. Called him Thu, set up appointment for Monday at 8 am. He shows up at 7:45, investigates the issue, explains what happened and a couple ideas to fix. Says he's going to put in a temporary pin to make the lock work while he orders parts. After he drills the hole, fixes the bolt and gets it all working perfectly he notices the locking mechanism sticks a bit so he fixes that. Then explains that he thinks the brass pin he put in is better than replacing the bolt, but he stands by the work and if we do need it replaced just call him and he'll do it, no service call. Then my wife asks him to fix two interior doors that weren't quite latching properly due to house settling. He fixes those. Spends about 90 minutes total. Total charge - $45 service call plus $10 of labor! I tried to pay him $100, but he wouldn't take it.

Just had Frank out this morning and he re-keyed 4 doors, gave me 4 copies of each key (2 different keys needed) and fixed a security gate that wasn't buzzing folks in properly for free. He showed up 15 mins early, gave me some advice on any add'l security options I could pursue.

Had 2 entry locks re-keyed and a tarnished entry lockset replaced at 2 different residences in a snap! Frank is one of the best at providing fantastic customer service and a quality product. Here's a scorecard breakdown:

Called Frank on the morning after Thanksgiving to fix a broken lock to my home office. He showed up promptly as promised (within an hour), evaluated the broken lock carefully and thoughtfully proposed a couple of ways of opening the door while minimizing the damage to the lock. He even climbed the window with me to try to open the door from the other side as it has better clearance -- a true professional indeed. I would not hesitate to recommend Frank's service to my neighbors and friends.
