I did a review on Todd years ago and he continues to be the first person I call whenever I have a plumbing problem...which unfortunately in my condo is a lot more often than i would like. Most recently I called Todd to see if he would replace my toilet which had become problematic. He told me to go pick one out, and that he would pick it up, bring it to my place, install it, and haul the old one away. Really??Thanks Todd!! Anyway, next day he gets here with the toilet and surprise surprise my building's shitty plumbing won't allow him to install the toilet without shutting off water to the entire stack of units above me. Great. I called my HOA who informed me that I HAD to use Bill Howe Plumbing and that it would cost me $150 dollars to shut off the water. I told them Bill Howe could kiss my ass and ...long story short, Todd was back the next morning doing for free what Bill Howe is charging the HOA $150 bucks for. What a rip off, seriously.
Took Todd 30 mins to shut off the water, install toilet, clean up, turn water back on, and haul toilet away for me. and lets not forget he went to Lowes and picked up the new toilet for me. Total...$245.00.
I will continue to use Todd. He is always friendly, prompt, reasonable prices and gets the job done. FYI...when I did call Bill Howe per my HOA's instructions to see about them doing the entire service for me, they stated they couldn't get to my house for 3 days. Hello..it's my only toilet!!!! and if they are charging $150 JUST to shut off the water...well, then I obviously got a much better deal.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Here's what I think about plumbers: when I look for a plumber, I want a guy that's a plumber for life. I'm not looking for the cheapest guy on Craigslist, I'm looking for a guy that knows what he's doing, will get it done faster, and it will stay fixed. That's Todd, he's done work for me for the last 10 years in three different properties. Everyone needs a quality plumber, Todd is the guy!

I called Todd when both of our showers backed up at the same time. I knew this was going to be a main sewer line issue... but little did I know how bad it would be. After trying to clear the clog through regular means, Todd was forced to dig down and find the sewer line, then try and clear it that way. Once he determined the clog was not normal (the line was broken) he suggested I call the city and get them out just in case it was on their side of the property line... and that, ladies and gentleman, is where he gained a customer for life. He could have easily told me "you have a collapsed line and its going to cost you XXX to fix" but instead he did the right thing and informed me of an option that saved me a lot of money (the break was on the city's side of the line). If you want an honest, hard working plumber, call A-1.

I'm upping my original 4-star review to 5 stars. I've called Todd twice now and both times he came quickly, worked fast and fixed my drains at a reasonable price.

Todd did some great work at our house. Our tub was a disaster and he had to remove a whole pipe out.
He came on time, was easy to get along with and did a great job all around. -

I called Todd, because of these reviews, and the next day he arrived at my house 30 minutes late with no courtesy phone call to give me a free estimate on a water leak.
He came in like a bull in a China shop, acting like he'd had way too much coffee. With no introduction or greeting other than "plumber!" and without asking a single question, he immediately set his sights on my GE water heater. "Oh, you've got one of those Home Depot ones; you know they're made in Mexico; probably only has a 5-year warranty."
He'd grabbed and moved some shower doors aside before I could ask why he was looking at my water heater when the leak was originating from near the back of my garage. When I pointed to the very obvious stream of water, he said, "oh, yeah, there is a leak back there."
Todd pulled the covers off the sewer clean-outs in both driveways, reached over to break a branch off one of the bushes next to the driveway (:O), then used it to pull 22 years worth of debris out of the hole. When he left, the mess was still sitting in the driveway and my shower doors were not put back where he'd taken them from.
He went next door to my neighbors' (we share a common water wall) and WAS able to determine that the leak was actually on my neighbors' side and was coming from the water line from his water heater.
However, he also determined - with no leak detection or cutting any holes in the drywall - that the water leak was coming from INSIDE the WALL, above the floor.
I had to YELL "time out" at him so I could tell him other homeowners had dealt with this same hot water leak and it was from a hot water pipe under the concrete slab. The solution, every time, was to do an exterior re-route of the hot water line from the water heater to the manifold - simple.
Todd left without even bothering to give an estimate and I honestly didn't know what the heck had just happened.
To say the least, my neighbor called another WONDERFUL plumber this morning and his hot water line was re-routed by 3 pm.Comment from Todd C. M. of A-1 Plumbing Sewer & Drain Experts 12/7/2011

Todd was the only one answering the phone live when my mom, who's 93 had a clogged sink drain. He made it a point to get over to her right away and was careful about climbing on the roof and not damaging any tiles. Up front and to the point, I would recommend Todd for a go-to no nonsense solution to your plumbing and drain problems.

THANK GOD FOR TODD!! Seriously, I don't know what I would have done without him!!!
Picture this: 5:30 pm on a Pro Bowl Sunday and the fruit of my loins starts yelling about a leak. Well teens are dramatic... BUT when I saw water all over the floor of one bathroom and 5 minutes later the second bathroom is filling with water and gray crap is coming out of the shower: BIG PROBLEM. Huge problem since I am a a fund weak mom on my own while the dad is at war. Anyway, I found Todd here on yelp and called him: he ANSWERED: did I say it was 5:30 pm on a Pro Bowl Sunday?? Todd told me he would be here is 30 minutes: AND HE WAS! He told me he would explain everything up front: AND HE DID!!! And the best part: he even gave us a discount since my son helped him out a bit. Did I already say "5:30 pm on a Pro Bowl Sunday": A Discount!!?? AND He fixed it all and in less than an hour.
Seriously: If you have a plumbing problem, Todd is a great professional guy who will tell you like it is and wont rip you off!!
Thank God For Todd!!!! -

I called Todd on Saturday morning and he was over by 3 pm, fixed my problem quickly (he had the replacement part without knowing the faucet type in advance) and identified another potential problem for me to consider in the future. Very professional, fair and reasonable prices.
