When I bought my house, I knew it needed a lot of repairs and upgrades. When a house needs that much work, you gotta prioritize. Can't do it all at once, especially not while living in it! So, I went in order of what repairs were needed to make the house more functional, with cosmetic coming later.
With A-1 Glass, I got both!
The master shower door was was one of those dated, cloudy-glass deals that shrunk the bathroom visually. It didn't sit properly in the rail, and wasn't hung properly. As a result, the shower could not be used unless there were towels bunched up on the floor to catch the water runout and chilly air would get through the sides. The former owners lived with it like that but I wasn't willing to. It was awful! Essentially, keeping the old door meant I was paying for a two-bathroom house but only being able to use one. Not good.
So I called A-1 Glass for a replacement door. I'd never ordered anything like that, and didn't know what to expect.
What I got was a prompt appointment, incredible service, and a fantastic door that has visually doubled the size of the bathroom (and that tiny space needed it!). It's clear glass, so it's beautiful and easy to keep clean. It's modern, chrome-edged but clear on top like I wanted, and seals absolutely shut to keep out drafts and water spillage. Many people who saw it thought it was a new bathroom -- just because of the new door. $300 for a "new" bathroom? Sold!!
The young man who installed it did an amazing job. He really cared about the details, constantly checking, opening and closing it to make sure the door was in its proper place, not rushing through anything. The take-away of the old door was included, which was hugely convenient for me!

My negative experience with this business prompted me to open a Yelp account. The people that I met in the store were both nice and seemed knowledgeable enough but they failed Big-Time to follow through to provide me with quotes for a shower door. I had provided an email photo of the current shower door that was installed by A-1Glass 23 yrs ago along with approximate measurements, as requested.
After 3 days, I sent an email stating that I had not yet received the quotes for the different options. She said she'd email me back with quotes the same day.
More than 2 weeks later and 3 weeks after my initial visit to the store, I again sent an email that I had not yet received the quotes. She replied, apologized and said she'd 'resend' them in 1 hour. Almost 4 months later, I still have not received a quote. She certainly knows my email address as she was able to reply to my emails.
Honestly, I gave up on following up with her about 2 months ago. I am disgusted with the absolutely poor customer service that I have received. I've wondered whether it's because I'm only interested in 1 measly shower door? Nevertheless, this shouldn't even matter if they value their customers.
I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere! -

don't even know how to begin.... after got the custom shower doors from them, we tried it out and found some leaks and door won't be able to close properly when the weather was hot... we called to make 1st appt and waited for them.. never showed up.. called back the next day.. apparently the lady who picked up the phone forgot wrote it on the board... we tried to reschedule but we couldn't.. b/c they had big projects needs to finish....so we waited.. for 2 months.. finally set up an appt.. told me it would be betw 12pm-4pm.. waited... still no show/ no phone calls til 430pm.. i left.. got back saw a note said they showed up at 545pm.... HRRRRR.... called again next day.. they blamed me not waited for them.... what the.... they didn't even bother to call to tell the customer they will be late... but blamed me not been home....
what kind of customer service is that?!! -

We just remodeled and needed mirrors and a shower door fixed. My husband had me get quotes from 4 glass companies. We picked A-1 for their cost for the service they provide. Joe didn't try to up sell us on anything. He was honest, gave great suggestions, his staff were quick at communicating and organizing when to come out. Joe came out with the installer to make sure the job got done accurately.
We have worked with so many different companies during our remodel, and A-1 Glass was by far the most professional and easy to work with.
I don't take the time to write many reviews, but these guys are a great small business that competes well with others out there and still manage to keep the small business feel. -

We chose A1 Glass to do our new shower. We were very happy with the work and the sleek design of the glass shower. Joe was very helpful and answered all my questions and went over every option out there. I could really tell he knew what he was talking about. During the day of the install I felt very confident and I was able to leave my dog in the house while they installed which kept him entertained. Everyday I still admire how beautiful my glass door turned out!

A-1 Glass Shower & Door new owner, Joe, is trying very hard to rebuild the reputation of the company. We had a double-paned window installed four years ago (previous owners) that blew its seal and was foggy. Joe came to the house, took a look, and said he would replace it for just the cost of the labor. Steve came out and did the work. He was clean, polite and got the work done. Window looks great!

Nice guys...they have no idea what they're doing though. We originally hired them to replace 3 shower doors, and then had to stop them finally after so many bumbles! On the 2 that we allowed them to do, they made 6 mistakes, taking weeks to come out to correct. At one time there were 3 guys here trying to put on a simple shower door (the manager had to come out to ensure it was right) but when I went to check on them I looked at the door and said " that handle is on the wrong side." they said "huh?" The door wouldn't have opened, it would have hit the toilet and all 3 of them didn't even notice it. They've been out 3 times to fix the leaking...and so many more mistakes. Don't hire them!
