These guys know what they're doing, and they do it with incredible customer service and quick turn-around time! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!
Once I called A-1, an appointment was scheduled for a tech to come out within 24 hours and examine what was needed. A new door was installed next day! I can't say enough positive things about my experience with ASAP garage door. I woke up to a broken garage door spring and within an hour of my call, they had someone out to my house, repaired it and I was on my way. Bob was friendly, prompt, reliable, and professional, if you ever have a problem with your garage door. These are the folks to call. Period.

Terrible I told them in my request that I needed new springs for my garage door. I asked for a quote or price before arrival Bc they charge a service fee for coming out.
the service person arrived and wasn't here 5 minute. he gave a quote of $430 and said Bc of COVID all the prices went up.
I called another company Bc of Angie list referral and the company quoted $299 over the phone . there was no attempt to match the quote and basically the service guy got a free $20 lunch . please drop this company from referral.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Derrick, You called in and asked how much springs were. I asked you the wire size on your door. You did not know. I wont know either until i get there and inspect the job. Matter of fact, we dont know anything about your door until we get there. I explained this to you. We lowered the trip charge down to $20 as a courtesey and sent you Bill who has over 40 years of experience. He recommeded a .218 wire You decided not to move forward due to financial concerns and instead went with another company that did offer a cheaper alternative. The $20 trip charge goes towards gas as agreed in the event we didnt get the work. Sorry we couldnt reach an agreement but i cant price match a high cycle spring for a low cycle spring. Parts cost too much these days. When those cheaper springs break in 2-3 years. Try out the recommended higher cycle springs. They are better for your door and less stress on your opener. From day one, we wanted windows. Casey, your tech, verbally quoted a price WITH WINDOWS. You, for some reason, decided not to add them in the original quote, so we called to ask why. Maybe it changed after you saw our location and you decided to increase the quote and add the windows after the fact. So we decided not to go with your company. We will not do business with a company that is unethical in its practices.

Ma'am. With all due respect. You were not present. Your husband was the main point of contact. Your husband placed a call for same day service due to cars trapped. We kept the Free service call of $39.95, waived with any paid service in place. ( The service fee is what companies charge to go from A to B.). The technician stated to your husband that there was a $150 car trapped fee to get the vehicles out and secure the door. Your husband also requested a garage door quote and we gave a price on the replacement door with out windows initially. He put down an additional $150 deposit for the new door. We were going to apply the car trapped monies towards the new doors as a courtesy. When you got back into town, You wanted to add windows. We resent an updated quote reflecting the window upgrade charge.
Quote #1 is without windows.
Quote# 2 is with windows.
You canceled the door order and we refunded the $150 deposit. We keep the labor charge of $150 for getting the cars out and securing the doors.
We tried to explain to you that windows cost extra. And we also tried to explain to you that we don't charge $39.95 to get vehicles untrapped from garages.
No company in the United States is going to charge $39.95 labor for same day emergency service on a Saturday to get cars released from the garage. It's. A. service call fee. We waived it as a courtesy and only charged the labor.
If you decide to move forward on the door i will be more than happy to apply the car trapped fee towards the door replacement.

I explained to you already that emergency and prompt differ in definition. Your definition of emergency is used to charge so that you don't have to refund money, in good faith, on a deposit when they decide not to purchase from you due to increase from a verbal quote to an email quote. Give us back our $150, Dave.
Feb 27, 2021Previous reviewZERO stars Verbally quoted for garage door. When digital quote sent, it was higher, so we decided against ordering. Recieved a $150 of our $300 deposit back, supposedly for opening the garage door, when the charge of $150 was never mentioned or else it would have been a firm NO. Why the $150 when their service fee is $39.99? Dave, the owner, decided to steal our money instead of giving a refund. Give us back our money Dave, minus the $39.99 since you mentioned you don't work for free. In order to get our money, I am required to do business with them, according to Dave. No thanks, TERRIBLE BUSSINESS ETHICS.

I had garage springs break that were under warranty from 4 years ago when the name of the company was A-1 Door Systems. I called and talked to the Owner Dave. He told me that it would be $50 labor to replace the springs, but the springs were under warranty so that would be the price. I had him repeat the price twice and my wife was able to hear also.When the installer Brad arrived, he said it was going to be $150 labor and $90 more to replace both springs (that are under warranty)? I called Dave again and he told me that "I must have misheard him on his bluetooth, but he could do everything for $250-I told him that Brad quoted me $10less, but it was still ridiculous. They charged me $40 for a service call. I am having the springs replaced from another company for $200 and lesson learned!

Customer called on 2/26/21. I took the call.
Pulled previous history. Springs had a 5 year warranty. Labor was 90 days. Work was done in 2017. Told customer that the 1x broken spring would be replaced. No charge on the part. Only 1x spring was broken. I clearly stated that Labor would be $150 and there would be no charge for replacing the 1x broken spring.
He agreed and I set the appointment. There was no apparent confusion at the time of booking the call.
While my technician was at the job the Customer shopped us for the pair. Customer state that Competition was at $200 ish.
I informed him that i could not do a pair of insulated door springs for less than $235.00 with a 5 yr warranty against breakage. He was not happy about that.
Our original offer of $150 to replace the 1x broken spring under warranty was refused. He was not happy about that.
He offered to pay the service call of $40.00 despite our attempt to secure the job. We refused the service call And we went to our next job.

The cables on our garage door broke last evening so we placed a call to A-1 first thing this morning and Dennis was here in less than 2 hours after we called. What can be better than that? Well, I'll tell you.... he called to say he was on his way, and sure enough he arrived promptly. We noticed how friendly he was and how well he knew his trade. After explaining that our cables needed replacing and our spring needed some minor adjusting, he performed the work and was done in a timely manner. In fact it was completed much sooner than what I had expected.
Afterwards, he gave some tips and pointers for keeping our garage door and all of it's parts running smoothly. He's a very knowledgeable guy with a nice personality who takes the time to make sure you're a satisfied customer. Add in the fact that he's a long time employee with the company and that tells you that this is indeed an A-1 business with professional people doing the job right.
Oh, I can't forget to mention....there's a free service call with any repair they make.

Came home from work yesterday to a garage door that wouldn't open even manually. One of the cables had snapped and it was of course the coldest day of the year. After reading some Google reviews, I called ASAP and got one of the most polite phone people ever. He scheduled an appointment for the following (Great!), but 20 minutes later I got a call from a technician who was in the area who was willing to come by right away. At 6 pm! I couldn't have been more thrilled to have a working garage door within an hour of it breaking. Awesome service. Not sure if the price is 5*. It wasn't cheap for 20 minutes of work, but I can't complain given the excellent service and responsiveness. I would definitely use again.

I had an issue today with my garage door and was unable to get my car out. A gentleman by the name of Sammy came within an hour and a half. He was EXCELLENT. He had all the parts to repair my garage door and fixed the problem that evening. Not only did he repair the issue, he went above and behind with safety checks and other concerns. He double checked everything before leaving and was very kind. He was explaining everything as he worked which I greatly appreciated! I would definitely call them in the future and recommend to my family and friends. Thanks Sammy!
