I give them 5 stars for being open on Sunday.
But I take off a star for being so expensive.
The lady over the phone quoted me $1.10 per pound which is almost twice the price of other places.
Originally we were going to drop off the laundry today but then we decided an extra day wouldn't kill us and it'd save a ton of money.
But kudos to them for being open on Sunday.
Somehow I remember a place that does launder for like 38 cents per pound. Still trying to find it.

Can't really give them any less than this because I have a mail box here and if I said anything bad and Stanley sees it, I am sooo screwed. Stanley is the owner of this place with his mom, Shirley. I've known them since they were over at 817 Columbus Ave. I think that was the old addy...I was also an employee at that location. Waaaay before they had to move to their current location. The old location was better. It had a cafe who's owner was like a Chinese Nazi. And they had a couple of games and a pool table with a couple of pinball machines. And it was a wash and fold as well as dry cleaning and drop off.
The Nazi was this weird lady. Was a bitch and always complaining. She also spied on us when she already went home. Apparently, she spies with binoculars from where she lives. Totally insane. I love the fact that when I was working in the Bakery Dept. at Safeway, she would come by when the bagels were on sale and try to use a rain check for them. Sounds kosher but her rain checks weren't. She would have us write them for 20 dozen and she would buy a couple dozen at a time telling us to give her back the rain check with the modified amount that she had left on the top so she can use it again. Totally defeats the purpose of a rain check. And the sad part was she was using our Safeway bagels to pass off as Noah's bagels...Totally deceptive.
I also hated folding the clothes...Especially when it came to womens panties. For two reasons. One, how the fuck are you supposed to fold them correctly when they're made of such minimal amounts of cloth? And two, it pains me everytime I see the person that owns the panties don't look like they should be wearing them...I mean, a good majority were really hot chicks but the rest were skanks that think they were hot shit because they bought something from Frederick's of Hollywood of VS. That just brings back awful memories...*shudders*
But, back to the story at hand. I love this place because it gives me a place to have my packages mailed to me without me having to sign for them at home. Which means I can pick them up after work at my own leisure. Very nice. I think I have been using the box for close to 8 years now. Even now, when I live in the Sunset, I still have the box. Since I still work at the Safeway on Bay...Not sure why...

Everyone else has pretty much said the same thing - but this place is great. Cheap prices, nice guy, great work and quick turn around.
YES! My first 5 star rating... This place makes me never want to do my own laundry again. The guy inside is really nice and had my stuff all ready to go when I showed up after work the next day. I had so much laundry and was just so busy with my new 'architecting' job that I haven't had time. Doo Wash saved me, THANKS!
Stan T may seem mild mannered but you probably don't know him by his alter ego (drumroll please) (announcer voice) - MR. DOO WASH!
Faster than a spin cycle, more powerful than that stain on your shirt, and able to leap tall piles of laundry in a single bound, Mr. Doo Wash will make sure that your clothes are perfectly dry cleaned, washed and folded.
The deets:
Dry Cleaning - $3.50 for pants/shirts, $5.50 for things like dresses. You'll get your clothes back in 1 or 2 days.
Wash & Fold - For you lazy mofos who don't like to do laundry (like um me). Only $0.95 a pound. If you drop it off in the morning you can pick it up same day - nice.
Internet (yes internet!) - $3 for 20 min. or $6 for an hour.
Rental Mailboxes - $15 per month.
Also, if you are deemed worthy you will score an invite to one of the Doo Wash Happy Hours. Foosball and booze - need I say more?

I like going to Doo Wash because the place is clean and is operated by a very friendly staff. Most importantly, my clothes are always clean and ready for pick up as scheduled -- for a very good price!!!
Oh, and unlike other places, this place not only have magazines, but they also have internet access, munchies (soda and candies) and a bathroom.
Definitely a place to check out!
Any local dry cleaners that has a party with tons of booze, fooseball and ping pong is OK with me! Add internet access and cold canned soda, this place is an automatic 5 stars.

Don't let the name fool you - they do NOT wash your clothes in doo.
For $20 I can get 4 loads of laundry washed, dried, bleached (if I so choose), scented (dryer sheets, not doo stink), folded and wrapped into nice little blue papered packages. That's a good freaking deal.
Doo Wash is one of my few city-life luxuries. And the dude that runs the counter knows my name. Woot.
Dirty your clothes, wad them up, and take them in - in just a day's time, you'll be good to go.
