I met my boyfriend's parents for the first time here. They have traditional dim sum (think of tapas but with Chinese food) and you can usually find parking in the residential area, too. Their taro fried balls are absolutely delish here! Their shui mie (shrimp balls) are pretty good here, too. They're open every day from 9:30am to around 10ish in the evening (but I only come in the morning/afternoon for dim sum)
Decently priced and as I said before - easier to find parking here than in the Chinatown area (free parking lot plus parking in the nearby residential area - my old church is around there so it would be the perfect thing to do after mass) - I usually think of Furama as the dimsum place off the beaten path of Chinatown.

A decent option for Dim Sum if you don't have time to trek down to Archer Ave. Also, the parking lot next to the bank is free if you get your ticket validated inside by the host. Certainly not the best/well kept interior -On the bright side, their carts are generally plentiful and fresh food comes out often. You can get alot of food for two people for about $20. Definitely a little ruf 'round the edges.
Edit Note: The above description is for New Furama on Broadway in Uptown - not the Wentworth locale.
