This is the coolest resturant I've ever been too. Right next to Emeril's.
My mom and I went right after they opened to taste their menu for my brother's wedding rehearsal dinner. Their grilled Upside Down Pinapple Cake was fabulous. I love everything on their menu.
I will start this review by stating we were there when it was very empty. Our waitress had us and one other table to service. We started out at the bar for a drink. Again, not many people there so expected some nice attention. She couldn't be bothered. So we hoped for better when we moved to a booth for dinner. Had to ask for some bread. Could not get a drink......waitress disappeared into a black hole?
When our food arrived, my boyfriend's steak was not cooked the correct way. Oh, by the way, the people that bring the meal cannot take your drink order so we were still waiting for a drink. Anyways, my fish was delish but when your dining companion is eating something that is obviously not to their liking (or the way it was ordered), it doesn't lead to having a nice dining experience....plus we're still waiting for that beverage!!!
They need to get wait staff that actually knows how to wait on a table. Not take your order and then disappear til they come back with the check.
On the way out we were asked if everything was fine. I said it was horrible. Wait, wait, let me get the manager. Manager came and tried to fix it with a $40 gift card and we'll do it better next time. We took the gift card but WILL NOT be using it at this location. I hear the one in River North is much better.
Been here twice now, and both times we had nice service (the last time our waiter was new, but was doing a fine job and very eager to please, already up on the specialties etc., offered a couple of personal opinions about substitutions etc.) and good food. The dining area is spacious, lots of dark wood and high ceilings; carpet seems to help damp down noise, so it's not too loud.
The first time I had the blue cheese burger, very tasty; on the more recent trip, I had the beer can chicken, which is half a chicken roasted with beer and garlic and served with a huge pile of mashed potatoes: tender and nice flavor (though I could only eat about half of it). And of course you've gotta love those pretzel rolls with the cheddar-onion butter! We never make it to dessert due to filling up on those at the beginning.
Obviously, meat plays a major role in the menu, though a veg-favoring friend who came here with us was happy with her order of soup and salad.
Overall, a good place for the carnivore in all of us when we don't feel like firing up the charcoal ourselves. Oh yeah, and bring the camera, because who doesn't want a family portrait under the giant Weber grill out front??

Nice restaurant, great for large parties. The food is good, standard grill fare. Ribs, steak, and burgers, etc.
We usually go here for the business dinners. Drinks are from a full bar. Wait staff is very good.

Good food and good service in a casual atmosphere.
The "grill food" is excellent here. I have been happy with every dish I've ever ordered here. It's a little pricier, but it's a unique style of restaurant (everything is cooked on giant Weber grills).
The grilled asparagus is especially tasty.
The food is pretty good. Dining room is nice and service is attentive.
Overall I just felt like it was too expensive for what it was.
Great steak joint if you don't want to be wearing a suit.
Love the service and love the porterhouse steak they serve. Also, Webber is the ONLY place that knows how to cook the meat at the done-ness you ask for. You tell them you want rare, they get you exactly that.
BAD Service. I was siting in a room where it looked like half of them got bread, half did not (we were in the half that did not).
Forgot our appetizer.
Steaks were not cooked like we ordered. Food just not that great.
Every summer, my dad's idea of fun was to plunk down some good old charcoal briquettes, splash some gasoline on them, make a nice fire, and then cook some 80% ground beef hamburgers.
And we loved those burgers. I personally always put american cheese and bottled barbecue sauce on mine.
Of course, these days, if you want to grill, you need real charcoal, you wouldn't risk your life with gasoline, and you'd carefully craft your burgers. I don't grill because its just too much trouble, honestly.
However, the first time I bit into a Weber Grill burger, it reminded me instantly of those burgers my Dad used to make. The burger felt authentic. I almost felt like I was sitting in my Dad's kitchen. It didn't feel fussy at all.
I've gone a few times sense then - the steak salad, for instance, isn't worth ordering. I'm not big on meatloaf, but if I had to eat meatloaf, I'd eat Weber Grill's. I do like their pulled pork and baby back ribs - the barbecue sauce is excellent.
Their lunch prices are pretty reasonable, and I was able to get a weekend reservation pretty easily.

Consistent quality steaks and burgers. Our waitress accidently dropped our leftovers that we wanted doggy bagged, in return she gave a us a whole burger & fry meal to take home which was actually pretty darn good.
Delicious. I've been there as a department lunch outing, committee dinner outing, and with my significant other. The quality is superb, the taste fresh and delicious.
The decor is classic but kicked up a notch, the entrance where you can see the kitchen area is a lot of fun, the bar is great, enough room but not too much, and good tvs. Staff is friendly and aims to please.
Good wine and beer selection (and bar) and desserts.
Yum!
We like the Weber Grill. We've always found the portions to be of a good size, but people are correct, the service can be spotty. For some reason, they always want to seat people near the very busy wait stand (or maybe it's just us) so be firm and tell them you want a better seat. We've actually had much better luck in the bar area, which isn't as smoky as one would expect it to be. Fave items: the meat loaf (which they grill), of course the rib eye and my husband likes the bleu cheese lettuce wedge. The ribs are just so-so, skip those and go for the grilled beef items. You didn't fight your way up the food chain to eat veggies at the Weber Grill.

For a $15 lunch, I expect a delious entree and side with generous portions. Instead, I received a 4 ounces of fish with a measly ounce of grilled vegetables. Plus, they didn't follow my special instructions (no butter).
Yeah, my company paid for the meal. But I won't be going back.

In brief: the food here is decent. Steaks are ok, but I have to order one step more rare than I generally do to get what I like. While good eatin', the food is overpriced. Good luck getting out of there for under $15 for lunch or $35-40 for dinner.
I have been to the Weber Grill downtown, where the wait staff is very professional and the atmosphere is more like a M&S than an Outback. The Oak Brook/Lombard Weber Grill, however, maintains the high prices of the downtown location but the experience is lost.
The bar is almost always empty. I didn't realize why until I looked at an itemized bill once - draft beers are $5.50.
For these prices, I'd recommend going to Redstone - about the same price, but a better experience.

Neither the food nor the service at this Weber Grill location were worthy of a return visit. If you find yourself out in that area, I'd reccommend the Champs next door instead, for similar but tastier, fare.

REVIEW OF ALL WEBER GRILL LOCATIONS:
With locations in downtown, Lombard, Shaumburg, and Wheeling, Weber Grill offers solid meat dishes, including one of favorite hamburgers in the city! $9.50 for a burger w/ fries isn't cheap, but there is something about the way they cook Black Angus patties that makes it so good. Their steaks, especially their Hickory-Roasted Prime Rib, is awesome. They actually grill the surface of the meat, so don't expect their prime rib to be like the ones at Lawery's, but it's good. For drinks, they have sangria, which is bit unique for a steak restaurant. I liked Weber's Backyard Brew on tap.
SPECIFIC REVIEW OF THIS LOCATION:
This suburb location get very crowded at time, especially on weekend nights, so don't be surprised to see over 30 min wait. One tactic is to sit at their bar area, which has regular tables, so that you can avoid the wait.

Seems like a perverse idea to pay someone else to grill your food for you - isn't that what you're supposed to do on a summer night, in the backyard, with some friends? But if you have cash to burn and don't want to smell like lighter fluid, this here's the next best thing. Our server was excellent - attentive and friendly. The food was good, but a bit on the pricy side. Burgers start at $10.50 for dinner, and the beercan chicken is $16. Like others, I wish I had shared - portions are indeed huge. On the plus side, our food was cooked exactly to order. If you say rare, it's gonna moo!

I'll agree that the service isn't spectacular, but I have to give it 4 stars because I LOVE the food!! Everything I've had here has been great. I'd recommend a reservation because it tends to be really crowded. Also, don't go if you're already starving, because you'll die waiting for your food to come -- it takes a while. But again, 4 stars b/c the food kicks ass! ;)

I ate here once downtown with my friend. The portions were huge, which was sad b/c what I got was so good, but I barely made a dent into it, and had to leave the whole thing, sorry that's a personal rant, I got a salad with grilled veggies and added chicken it was so so good, and we also got some sweet potato fries, yum, it was good, but I highly recommend sharing.

I love a good burger and this place definitely has it! I think that it's not just the meat, but they use a pretzel bread that is very good too. Yes, portions are huge. I wish I could have shared my burger. Try the mash taters, so good. I also like the French Onion Soup. Can't wait to go back.

very expensive place to eat, for lunch or dinner....and the food is just average. yeah, it's cooked over a charcoal grill, which, i suppose should infuse some homestyle flavor, but it just doesn't seem to work.
the best thing i've had there is the beer can chicken, the rest of it, i don't even remember. service runs medium to slow as well.
Not impressed. We went there for steaks and they were completely over cooked. The manager came out to apologize and offered us a gift certificate so they could "do it right next time." On the second trip, there was a very long hair in our artichoke dip and the steaks were once again over cooked.
The food is good and service is usually what you'd want. The choices aren't too varied, mostly steak and chicken - they could use more seafood. Once I had AWFUL service, so I called the next day to describe the situation and the manager sent me a gift certificate. I think it was an isolated situation because it was always fine afterward. Good management, they really cared.
Great place to go in the suburbs for a good steak. But if you're vegetarian, you should probably skip out on this one. There's not much more than meat on their menu. But the food is really delicious and service is great. Makes for a great meal anytime!
I love BBQ anything- chicken, ribs, steaks, burgers, hot dogs, anything. So I especially love going to Weber Grill. First as soon as you step into the restaurant there are some Weber Grills on display that my boyfriend just drools over and I laugh at. But the food is amazing. Great steaks, delicious burgers, and my personal favorite- the BBQ shrimp skewers. Very yummy.

I had heard good things about Weber Grill, so when a friend suggested it to celebrate her birthday I was game. I was terribly disappointed. My meal- I had a bbq rib and chicken combo with broccoli instead of the beans, cole slaw, and cornbread. The rib was beyond burnt and tasted like charcoal, while the chicken tasted more like ash than bbq. The broccoli was undercooked and the portion was too small to serve as a replacement for all that I had substituted it for. It wasn't all bad though. The Weber Sampler, an appetizer that I would recommend as a replacement meal, was delicious! The ribs were seasoned and cooked just right. The chicken was juicy and the shrimp divine.
Drinks were perfect. Mojitos, pinot grigios, caribbean long island iced teas, mango mai thais... No one in my party could get enough.
Service was excellent as well. When we walked in we were told that the wait would be 30 min. but were actually seated in about 10. Our server checked on us repeatedly and even went to the entrance to escort late-comers to our party to the table.
All in all, I do recommend Weber Grill- as long as you stick to appetizers.
