There are quite a few different yogurt flavors (which you can sample before ordering).  Each order comes with a free topping, with a variety of options like brownies, raisins, Heath Bar, walnuts, etc.  They mix-in the toppings within the middle of the yogurt as well as topping it off.

The mini size is big enough to fill me up.  The line is long but usually moves quickly. Be sure to bring cash since they don't accept plastic. Great location, right near campus!

YP does not need another review...sheesh! 178 & counting, still we had such a positive experience there today, that what the hell! My sons requested the Yelp review so here goes:

Once upon a time I was a Cal student & subsisted on coffee & a bagel for breakfast, Yogurt Park for lunch, and whatever the cook made the staff at whichever restaurant I was currently employed in at the time for my dinner. After a couple of years of this, it would have been just dandy with me to never revisit the old haunts. Still, with temperatures climbing to nearly 100, frozen yogurt is a good option. After a day at Lake Anza the boys & I went in for a treat. The line moved at warp-speed, the flavor options were all compelling, the choices for mix-ins were mind-boggling, and the product is smooth, creamy, not too sweet...just right. For about $10.00 I made my 3 sons extremely happy. What more needs be said??

Yes. I am one of those people that go to Yogurt Park pretty much everyday. The staff is starting to recognize me, it's getting a little embarrassing.

I don't know what it is about this stuff but its like delightful, happy, sugary, non-fat goodness. If you ever walk by and you see Orange creamsicle, Irish Cream, Irish Mint, Mounds or Butterscotch pecan flavor you HAVE to try. A mini size (which is really filling!) is less than 150 calories and it is the perfect low-calorie dessert for those trying to stay healthy, skinny or just happy. But be careful cause you'll get hooked before you know it. The flavors change every day and pretty soon you'll start to walk by every morning, excited about which new ones are available and how you're gonna fit some YoPo into your schedule. Wait. Just me? damn.

If you're feeling a little indulgent you can get tons of different toppings and even get some yo in a sugar cone.

I haven't reached the stage of calling the daily flavor hotline. YET. But oh yes, there is one just in case.

Delicious yogurt. Good flavors and it's open late.

Minus one star cuz the service sucks (i am generous, it's true), and is made up of mostly annoying, bitchy college girls. Also, is it just me or does it seem kind of dirty in there? I guess I just try not to think about it too much, but it's kind of gross.

I give em 5 stars, for the Flavor & Topping Selections!!!

Never disappoints!!
Went here last night, for a Healthy Treat - went home happy, and full for $2.80 (I got the small Mix of Belgian Choc. & Vanilla w/ Sprinkles)
The mini, which is TOTALLY enough, is only $2.50

Favorite Flavors:
Blackberry
Belgian Chocolate
Black Cherry
Mango
Strawberry

They have probably 30 Toppings to pick from, and,
they change the flavors ALL the time, can't get enough!!!

Yogurt Park rises above the frozen yogurt category

On the plus: Ghirardelli Chocolate was scrumptious.  They overcome their yogurt brethren who serve chalky is-this-really-chocolate flavor. The snozberries taste like snozberries!  Server girls are hot, helpful, and friendly to kids.  They glop the topping on the generous proportions (6oz = 8oz..)

Things to ignore:  Needs a paint job and a steam cleaning (as does all of Berkeley and its residents.) Prices are a little skewed:  $2.50 for mini 6oz -  $2.80 for 12oz - $3.00 for 16 oz .  I know it's mostly labor and toppings adding to the cost but let the kids with $2 in his pocket get something.  Pricing should be two, two-fidty, and three.  You need marshmallows.

I want to say "Best Frozen Yogurt Ever" but mentioning frozen yogurt with Yogurt Park is unfair.  Yogurt Park rises above the frozen yogurt category and can compete with any frozen desert (read real Ice Cream) for my two-fidty.

This is the place where I compare all other yogurt shops.  Frequented this place very often during my years at Cal.

To conclude our trip down memory lane, after our dinner at Downtown, then a trek up to Top Dog on Durant, we had to make our way to Yogurt Park.

I was very disappointed that they weren't serving their natural yogurt.  I was looking forward to ordering a large with berry topping.  I settled for a New York Cheesecake with strawberry topping.  It was good and hit the spot.

What I like about this place is that in addition to offering 6 different flavors of yogurt, they still have the largest variety of toppings.  Too bad I don't live in the East Bay any more!

Best Frozen Yogurt in CA.  Flavors change almost daily.  Huge assortment of toppings.  Reasonable cost.  Fast and friendly service.  Always a treat when I am in Berkeley or at the Walnut Creek location.  Tons of memories from when I attended Cal.

Even though my office is over a fro yo shop, I go to yogurt park because they always have a sugar free flavr for us diabetics. Today I had maple walnut, and it was really flavorful and tasty. A mini is actually quite big-just the right siaze to hit the spot and not over indulge. The prices are good and the service is good-quick and pleasant.

Since I just review Fraiche Yogurt, I decide I should review a good yogurt place.  Other than the fancy name, Yogurt park beats Fraiche Yogurt in every way.

I love the creaminess of their yogurts and they always have at least 1 low fat flavor.  There's a large selection of 4-6 flavors every day and you can ask them to swirl 2 flavors in for you.  The people there are always nice too, they give samples for those of us who can never decide and they pour the fixins in stages so every bite has some fixins.  You can choose from anything from nuts to chocolate to fruits.  This is a full service bar!

Lastly, this place has HISTORY.  It's been in Berkeley FOREVER and it's been buzzing long before the whole fro-yo craze.  If you are into fro-yo, you gotta give the original a try.

Oh Yogurt Park...I love you but I'm not in love with you. Let me explain what I mean.

The yogurt here is downright delicious depending on the flavors of the day. So call their number to find out the flavors of the day!! However, I believe there is much better frozen yogurt out there...somewhere. I just haven't found it yet. Therefore, Yogurt Park is the best I can do for now. That's right.. I'm settling.

On a hot day, don't let the massive line and tiny space be daunting. The service is fast and the people are very friendly. They allow samples, so indulge! I've always been one to experiment and I think everyone should too. It's very cheap for a tasty pick-me-up after failing that midterm (been there many many times). Overall, this place is a Cal landmark. Freshmen flock to this place, it's just a very very popular place. During game days, I even see Cal alumi with their families stopping by this place... some people just can't get enough of it.

Yogurt Park is one of the reasons why Berkeley food kicks so much tushie. Soft yogurt-fattened tushie.

Food: The yogurt here is deliciously creamy and comes in so many different flavors that I thought my head was going to explode. Not only that, but the toppings are also numerous. I tried the peach yogurt and was not disappointed. It's not overly sweet and not fake tasting as some peach flavors can be. It really tasted like peaches... I'm still amazed.

Value: For a mere $2.50 you get a huge cup of yogurt, inadequately labelled as a small. I can't even imagine how much you'd get if you got the medium or large.

Service: Swirling the yogurt ever so carefully into the cup takes skill. Kudos to you, Yogurt Park employees. I'm a little disappointed that it opens at 11 am though. I was hovering around here for a good half hour before it opened. If I were a student here, I would schedule my classes at noon or later just so I could stop by here for a snack.

Synopsis: If you like cheap, yummy yogurt, you'll like Yogurt Park.

I don't like yogurt but this place has the creamiest yogurt ever! They have flavors like Ghiradelli chocolate, vanilla, peach, chocolate peanut butter, and I think some sort of coffee AND tons of different toppings. Trust me the yogurt is good enough and you won't really need toppings. A min is $2.50 and a small is $2.80. So goooooood.

You can mix/swirl flavors, and the toppings are put in the middle and on top of your cup so you can't miss anything. You can try samples and the people there are very nice.

I would give this place 5 stars for selection and flavors but I'm giving it one star because they wouldn't serve my friend at the window when she had her baby in a stroller.  The snotty salesgirl told her to walk around the block to come in from the other side rather than sell her yogurt through the window which is for handicap access :[

It took me a while to warm up to yogurt park. I don't care what people say, frozen yogurt cannot live up to Gelato, in terms of flavor, and there are such great Gelato place around Berkeley I always wondered why you would compromise. But over the years this place's cheapness ($2.50 for a mini), revolving randomness of flavors, and relative healthiness (compared to Ben & Jerrys, which is like eating yourself to death one delicious bite at a time) won me over. It is not as good as real ice cream. Once you accept that, you begin to enjoy it for it's own flavors. I think they do the best with simple flavors like chocolate, vanilla and their fruit flavors - although sometimes their fruit flavors, especially the blackberry - taste an awful lot like yogurt, the unfrozen kind.

Yogurt Park makes me happyHappy! They are one of the reasons why I come out to Berkeley. Not only do you get the best bang for your buck (the boyfriend and I split a large, which is $3), but the frozen yogurt is actually creamy rather than icy as some places can be. You're allowed as many flavors they offer in one cup, and they pile on heaps of toppings! But beware of gummy bears! The coldness will make them hard, thus causing difficult chewing. I LOVE their tart flavors that really taste like yogurt, especially the natural flavor and the red raspberry (when combined, HEAVEN)!

I still return to Yogurt Park as one of my yogurt staples. Not only are they open late (I think midnight), the texture is amazing. I like the firmness that you can only find at yogurt park, the plethora of toppings available, and the walk-up order window. Plus it helps me relive my youthful college days. I'm getting old... =(

I first discovered Yogurt Park back in the late 90's when I was going to school at Berkeley.  I get nostalgic just thinking about it because I've never found anything quite like it anywhere else.  It's not like TCBY or soft serve at fast food restaurants and it's not tangy like Pinkberry.  The texture is very dense and creamy, but not overly sweet.  In fact, it's so thick and creamy I have a hard time believing that it's fat free.  And sometimes they have one flavor that is sugar free as well.  But I don't really recommend it because if something's fat free already, why throw sugar free on top of that?  I mean, why bother eating it at all...unless you are diabetic or something, I guess.

Anyhow, this location is pretty small with a counter where you place your order and a few benches inside to sit and eat your treat.  Most people take it to go and although there may be a long line at times, it moves very quickly.  There are almost always six flavors - four of which rotate.  They always have chocolate and vanilla and this past Sunday, they also had Irish Mint, Irish Cappuccino, Georgia Peach, and Cookies and Cream.  Some flavors are hit and miss, while others taste so strangely like the real thing it amazes me.  I was thrilled to see Irish Mint on the menu because I remembered it being one of my all-time favorite flavors, Butter Brickle being another.  I decided to go with Irish Mint and Georgia Peach.  The Irish Mint is delicious - very refreshing.  The Georgia Peach flavor wasn't as good - the flavor was more mild and bordered on artificial tasting.

A word about the sizes - the mini is 6oz and the large is 12 oz.  There is a medium that is somewhere in between the two.  I've always found the mini to be more than enough and the large is just way too huge.  I mean, 12 oz. of this thick and creamy yogurt is a lot to have in one sitting since it's not like you can really pack it away for later.  But the price difference between the mini and large is only $2.25 vs. $2.75.  You can add toppings for 40 cents each, but I never have.

They give out samples in case you can't decide outright what flavor you want.  I also noticed the steady increase in prices over the years.  10 years ago a mini size was about $1.30 and now it's currently $2.25.  It may seem like a huge jump, but I also realize that you can't expect prices to stay the same over a 10 year period.  $2.25 is still cheaper than a scoop at Ben & Jerry's or any of the gelato places around town.  And they have a hotline you can call to get the day's flavors before making a trip over there.

I don't go to Berkeley very often anymore and I haven't stopped by Yogurt Park in at least 4-5 years, but I'm glad I remembered this past weekend.

Yogurt Park is a place where you can turn dessert into a competitive sport. Why? Because the price different between mini, small, and large is less than $1 (I think). So why not get a large?!!? It would be good to share with your SO if you can agree on flavors. Otherwise, get your own and see who can actually finish theirs.

I got a large ghiradelli chocolate & coffee cognac with heath bar. Mmm....soo good. The yogurt had a nice consistency and wasn't too cold. Good flavors. Alas, I couldn't finish my large and my food baby was growing out of control, so I tried to save it to put in my freezer when I got home. Unfortunately, I live in San Jose, so an hour later, it was already melted. :(

Good stuff though, good stuff. They had a nice mix of other flavors, including mango, cheesecake, vanillas, and maybe a couple others. They're open until midnight every day, so that's a definite plus if you live in the area.

their ghiradelli chocolate flavor is like a better version of a wendys frostie. so delish. get the mini bc if you say "small" its actually too big for one person to finish. they are very generous with toppings and sometimes its just as satisfying getting a plain fro-yo from yo-po.

cash only, btw.

5 stars for the awesome frozen yogurt...and sugar free/fat free!!  Seriously, what more could anybody want?!  They always have a good variety of flavors and the price is right.  A mini is more than enough for the average person (you can get 2 flavors too).

1 star for the often horrid service and the lack of accepting credit cards (embrace the future!).  I've been there when the two people behind the counter were chatting it up and fully ignoring customers.  I've been there when the one person behind the counter was talking with a customer and ignoring me.  It gets old fast.

...oh, and I agree with Carlos.  Gelato tastes better.

Despite a casual warning from a friend, nothing could have prepared me for what I was about to encounter.  I ordered the 'small' Irish mint with walnuts.  Despite it being absolutely delicious and affordable, I struggled to finish half of it.  You'd think I have a stomach the size of a chickpea.

Nonetheless, a couple of larges could make for an interesting night if you and your friends are competitive eaters.

I think there was one point when I went here three times a week. The frozen yogurt is so creamy, you won't be missing the fat that you'd be getting if you had ice cream. I'm a fan of all the berry flavors, and vanilla is always a classic. Where else can you get something that tastes this good, isn't too bad for your health, and is totally affordable?

Mmmm Irish Mint, Blackcherry, and Caramel Eclaire... Yogurt Park, another reason I miss being a college student at Berkeley.  Such great frozen yogurt at such cheap prices cannot be beat!  This old school favorite is currently being assaulted by the new Korean style yogurt shops like Papaningo and Pinkberry, but it's still good in its own way.  Yes I love the Korean yogurt, but I also love Yogurt Park for their inventive flavors, cheaper prices, and the nostalgia it brings on.

I remember coming here countless times and it never gets old.  Yo-Pa, as my friends and I affectionately call it, is a Berkeley establishment and landmark, and I can't wait to come back!

Every business serves a main purpose; Yogurt advertises 3 words- price, convenience, location.
The quality of the yogurt is not great but I don't keep coming back for that.
I like the atmosphere, young cute girls who work at night, and the convenience of its location.

Do come! Check out Yogurt Park; I recommend you try at least 3 flavors before settling.

I am a huge fan of fro yo and Yogurt Park is heaven! The servings are CRAZY. A mini is mega and for 30 cents more you can get a small which doubles your portion. Good thing it is only 90 calories per 1/2 cup serving. Phew! The flavors change frequently and you can get any mix of flavors you want. They have a large assortment of toppings, my favorites being cookie dough, brownie, and oreo cookies, and they definitely don't skimp out on you. Yogurt park is AWESOME!!

Whenever I was feeling sorry for myself for how horrible I did on my midterms, I would stop by here and get a Mini yogurt (flavor varied depending on what was available) with RAINBOW SPRINKLES. I am partial to sprinkles on any dessert I eat, especially rainbow sprinkles, and at Yogurt Park, they generously pile on the toppings  Not only do they cover the top with sprinkles, but they will fill the cup half-way, pour in some sprinkles, then top it off with more yogurt! HEAVEN IN MY MOUTH! Some of the flavors weren't outstanding, but I loved the creamy texture.  You can't beat the price and the mini is more than enough.  And if the line is long and you don't feel like waiting, walk up to the window on the side.

I enjoyed Yogurt Park's pricing but their yogurt didn't blow my mind away. I had chosen the fresh strawberry yogurt and it didn't taste anything like fresh. Tasted similar to strawberry yogurt found at most other places. In addition, what turned me off was the fruits. They have a variety of fruits but one look at the strawberries drowning in syrup, I knew instantly it was not fresh strawberries. Nice place to give you a sugar rush but I don't see the hype when there are many numerous yogurt joints around which serve healthier options, fresh toppings, more seating, and I found out Yogurt Park uses the standard Yo Cream yogurt mixes...you can get that at numerous places across the Bay Area. Nothing special stood out here for me.

I LOVE yogurt park and definitely have missed it since I graduated from Berkeley.

First off, it's light and fat free (some are even fat AND sugar free), so you can eat a lot of it and not feel so bad :). They have new flavors everyday, but always have some type of vanilla flavor. They also have a great variety of toppings, and give you a LOT if you ask for toppings! I always get a mix of vanilla and something else, with toasted almonds. Delicious!

This has always been my fav dessert place in Berkeley :).

Lines are always forming here at Yogurt Park! Maybe because the two owners are former Pastry Chefs and they crank up some bomb ass desserts and yogurt!

Their gigantic cups of Honeyhill Farm frozen yogurt that is topped with fresh fruit and toasted nuts keeps people coming back for more.

They also keep their prices low!!!!  For us broke-ass people, that means we can enjoy great sweets and feel like a millionaire after wards!

I'm not into yogurt.

Gelato or ice cream for me, please.

Who wants a "healthy" dessert?

2 stars for being close to my house. 1 star for the sorority girls that would give us free yogurt and minus one star for it being expensive. Does that add up? Damn, I suck at math.

I'm glad they have coldstone and gelato in Berkeley now.
