We went here to stock up for an afternoon picnic, and I was so impressed by the incredible selection and reasonable prices. All the different bars - salad, fruit, olives, sushi - the different deli counters with cheese, salads, spreads, etc, and fresh bread. Everything looked so fresh and tasty! We got a salad, fruit, four kinds of hummus, olives, and rosemary bread, along with tasty sushi and Wisconsin cheese. Everything was delicious, especially the bread and the cheese (Wisconsin, but similar to brie). I swear the same stuff in Atlanta would have cost me twice as much!
I hear they have great baskets for Jazz in the park as well, but I doubt I'll be back in Milwaukee that soon...

This place is the bomb. I love to cook (when I'm in the mood), and I love to shop (always in the mood). Therefore, it stands to reason that I love to grocery shop. I have to say, one of the things I miss about Milwaukee is the grocery stores/specialty markets. Weird, but true. I've lived in Atlanta and Chicago and they just don't compare. Sometimes i am tempted to just drive up there to buy groceries. Ha.
A unique layout takes you through a variety of food stations. If you are into gourmet-style foods, you may find many things here that you'd like. I like the selection of fresh fruit. Otherwise, I find this place is a bit pricey, so I go to the Pick N Save (also operated by Roundy's) just a couple blocks north.
this place is like whole foods at half the price. how can you not love it??
lots of fresh produce and a giant section of the store devoted to prepared foods (salad bars, deli, pizzas, pasta salads, cheeses, stir-fries made to order, etc etc) make it an excellent place to grab something quick for lunch or dinner.
