DUB Pies has finally hopped the river into Manhattan.

Fantastic cute location in the middle of the Village. If you want a taste of Australia & New Zealand, this is the spot to go to fill those inner cravings for savory individual pies, with the flakiest pastry, the juiciest fillings and the creamiest flat white coffee - a variation on a latte. Our first visit and we had the mince and cheese pie, as well as the steak and mushroom - fantastic.

As a Kiwi living in NY I admit that these pies are very nostalgic and authentic. I hate to imagine what they are going to do to my waist line eeek!

Just went to DUB for the second time ever and now I can say: Man, y'all make some tasty pies!

Now I'm a pie guy, especially sweet pies, but one is so overwhelmed when given so many savory selections in here that sweet pies are (mostly) forgotten about with little problem. The first time in I had the mini-pie Curry Vegetable, which had just the right amount of spice and veggies included to make it fully delectable. The second time around I had the Spinach and Cheese roll, which I expected to be 'aight' but it was 'Alright!" I think I finished it in under two minutes. So warm and good for a cold day.

The space is tiny but effective and the staff have always been very good with me. The prices are also decent given the area. Bring your friends but its definitely easier to take it on the go than to try and sit down and eat inside.

had a steak and mushroom pie and a lamington (a coconut topped rasberry filled rollish pastry,) crust of the pie was better than at the british pie store (sorry cant think of another comparison,) filling was not as tasty and it was pricier than there. lamington was super sweet but good.
Guy was nice, also add forks for people who like desserts (they didn't have em to go.)

2.5 for each, maybe a 3 for the lamington. Hesistant 2.75

I've been meaning to try DUB Pies since they arrived in the neighborhood, but have been holding off because I need to trim down for a destination wedding this fall.

Today, I was feeling particularly weak and stopped in for a steak and mushroom pie and an iced americano. As someone who loves savory pies, I was blown away by how delicious the pie was, and how the perfectly flaky crust was not soggy or falling apart in any way. The coffee was similarly wonderful, and a nice bonus to a fantastic pie.

While I can't wait to try their other pies, their proximity to my apartment does not bode well for my waistline.

Visited during quarterly trip to NYC. The little pies are so cute and delicious! Plus, they are not hollow or flimsy; they pack those puppies in with filling!

The guys behind the counter were lots of fun too.

      Quick Seamless week night delivery

These fatteningly delicious pies (only about $7 - 5") wouldn't make my PCP happy but those cut pies. especially Curry Veggie pie. gave me a huge smile on my face.

      - Best -
Curry vegetable pie - curry spice was hidden under the packed full of vegetables and it was satisfying but it would be "very satisfying" if the crust had more flakiness. The filling was tasty as a Japanese Curry pan. http://www.closetcooking.com/2008/03/kare-pan-curry-bread.html

      - Second best -
Minced meat with cheese - well seasoned meat and cheese (fat) worked beautifully.

      - Last -
Shepherd's Pie - this minced meat tasted different. I couldn't taste mashed potato on the top of pie interestingly.

      - Conclusion -
Since my hubby loved those pies, we surely order from them often.

Stopped in with my friend. We had been outside all day so we were freezing and looking for something warm and savory to warm ourselves up.

We got the minced meat and cheese pie and the shepards pie. Fantastic pies. They are on the small side but we were starving.... turns out, theyre surprisingly filling. Two hungry girls sharing 3 of their pies and we were stuffed.

Also Tried their homemade grape fennel soda. Really good stuff.

Guy behind counter was also really nice and friendly. Not really a sit down place.

Didn't try their coffee but theyre supplied by Counter Culture, note for all who are looking for fair trade coffee in west village. So can't speak on the quality of their coffee but they had all the mechanics for pro-level espresso.

Card accepted. Definitely check this place out.

DUB pies serves up various, generally meaty, savory pies, along with rather good coffee. All of the pies I have had were rather good. These included the spinach roll, sausage roll, mince and cheese pie, and curry vegetable pie. All of them were pretty good. Also the coffee is of high quality and the line is seldom as long as it is in nearby Third Rail.

I think that for the size of the pies, they are about a dollar too expensive. The pies sort of hover in that weird intermediate space wherein they are too small to be a full meal for me, but too large to require two pies. Perhaps splitting three pies amongst two people is the ideal way to go... In any case, these prices would add up.

The staff are very friendly. I can't say I have any complaints about the guy who works there most of the time. He always chit-chats a little, which is pleasant.

Another plus is that they put out a new kind of tie every now and then so that there is variety. I would like to try their breakfast pies too, but I have not had an opportunity to do so.

      I love dub pies!!

They have great location, great service, and great food and drinks.

I've tried their mince and cheese + shepherd's pie, and it's complete heaven for someone like me who loves savory food. the pies are very flavorful and the pie crust has consistently been baked perfectly.

If you haven't tried their flat white, please do. It's super smooth and the guy who made it for me made a cute leaf design. I told him I shouldn't be drinking espresso because I was sick, but he told me (correctly) that flat whites have a really smooth texture. It also helps that the guy who works there on Wednesday mornings reminds me slightly of Hugh Laurie.

I'm also super happy with the location. Its right on the way to class as I get out of the subway system. I couldn't be happier!!

you can also pay in advance for a pie or coffee for a friend!! Whee!

I just got delivery from seamless and it arrived at my door in six minutes. I have no idea how this was physically possible. Unless they flew here. Definitely the fastest delivery I've ever had in my life. When I complimented the delivery guy, he confirmed that he was in fact superman.

I got steak and mushroom pie and cheese mince pie. Both very hot and yummy. Loved the crust. Smaller than I expected, but that doesn't matter. If I need more, I can just put an order in and superman will be here in less time than it would take me to heat up a gross hot pocket.

I got lamingtons, but I haven't eaten it yet. I had to write this review now because I was so impressed by the superhero service!
