Very accommodating on options and good personal attention to details. We love our furniture and would not hesitate to use them again.

It honestly didn't immediately click that the furniture is actually created by the Amish... I thought it was just a name. Silly, I know. Maybe I just didn't expect it so far from Amish country. But that is indeed the case. All their pieces are handmade by Amish craftsmen.

Everything here is made to order and it takes a couple months. You can look at their showroom, browse their catalogs, and customize as you wish. They have all their wood types / stains mounted on the wall for easy comparison.

It's not cheap. We looked at dinner tables and they were a couple thousand each (not including chairs). The chairs were about half a grand each. It's priced high but I think you can expect really good quality here.

It was a bit out of our price range plus the style is somewhat too conservative for us. Nonetheless, I really appreciated their approach to customer service. We were helped by Sandra who was friendly, attentive, and informative. She offered us coffee and made us feel really welcome overall.

If you have the time and money to invest in one of their pieces, I highly recommend it. This seems like a wonderful company that really cares about their customers.

Excellent customer service was first thing I remembered when I shopped at The Amish Craftsman store. Sandra was my consultant.

I was leaving after my optometrist appointment at Eye Impact. I usually swing by CVS before heading home. The freshly-made solid wood furniture display stared at me as I drove by. I had to stop my car to check it out.

Due to CoVid19 concerns, the entrance is locked. I had to ring the door bell before I could enter. Store was nice and bright. Sandra greeted me and offered to help. I was kind of in a hurry, but I really wanted to browse the store, perhaps on a different day. She explained as everything is made to order and store is a showroom. Instead of browsing, I told her exactly what I was looking for. I have been wanting a cat lounge at my kitchen window.

I gave her the dimension. She went to the office to look for catalogs. I couldn't believe it. This stool with exact dimensions actually exists. Unfortunately, it's over my budget, even with the cheapest wood. I would rather furnish my dining room and my cat stay on his old chair.

When I saw a reclaimed wood bench on a dining room set, I asked about just a slab for fireplace mantel. She said it's possible. I just need the dimensions and she could ask a vendor to quote me a price.

Excellent customer service and amazing quality in design/craftsmanship!

We had an odd size space for a dining table and contacted the design team via their website. The process was so easy. I was soon contacted by email to get the discussion going. Sonny was my consultant and he provided suggestions, pictures, sizes, and prices, all via email. A great way to have a pre-discussion, so my husband and I had time to talk through it. We were wanting to match the table to our Amish kitchen cabinets we had installed 10 years ago.

Once we had a general idea of what we wanted, we scheduled an appointment for final decisions. We popped off one of the cabinet doors and took it in to match the stain on our existing hickory wood. Sonny was very prepared and had everything ready for us. We also appreciated Sonny's easy-going approach and we never felt pressured. We finalized the table, then sat in various chairs to find just the right ones. The wait time for the table is about 16 weeks but will be totally worth it.

Lastly, my husband is still raving about his gift of their Blackberry Butter, that we received as we finalized the sale.

I can't say enough good things about this store. Kim and Steve have crafted an awesome customer service led store selling amazing furniture. We have had some of our pieces from when they first opened and have added o we the years.....beds, dressers, tables, night stands, filing drawers. Our last purchase was several years ago. Fast forward to last week when I decided to repaint the master bedroom and moved the bed. Well, I didn't do such a great job and cracked the plastic floor protective covering on one of the support legs that run down the middle of the king size bed. I brought the leg in and the crew at Amish Craftsman fixed it right up without a problem.

Few things get better with age -- wine, quality leather products, and fine furniture are a few examples. Furniture from the Amish Craftsman is certainly in the last category. I can attest that the furniture offered at the Amish Craftsman is of the highest quality. We bought a dining room table five years ago - brown maple - and it is beautiful, extremely heavy, and durable. It has barely aged in that time but I can tell that it's the kind of furniture that will wear beautifully and look even better with each decade. The craftsmanship is meticulous and obviously at the very top end.

If you want furniture with a timeless look that will not come loose, wiggle, fade, or fall apart -- you need to give the Amish Craftsman a close look. (Any furniture that takes 12 weeks to make is not going to be flimsy. These people use serious quality solid wood - no crap particle board or fake garbage.)

Also, the owners are lovely people and not pushy at all. They know their product and are very helpful.

We will definitely come back for more pieces soon.

Gorgeous furniture, excellent service. Everything is top notch and they are very customer friendly. I very much appreciate that these days when it's so hard to find. I'd looked for a bedroom set around town, but when all was said and done, especially now that there is financing available, they were head and shoulders above the rest. This is furniture you can use for a lifetime, and then some!

I recently purchased a bookcase and am very pleased with my purchase. Susan Dodd was extremely helpful from the point of sale to the time it was delivered. She even followed up with me to confirm all went well.

It would be hard to argue that there are any better quality retail furniture stores in Houston. This is heirloom stuff that you will hand down for generations; the hand-made pieces are by various Amish builders in the Midwest and Northeast.

You can ask for customization - in our case we wanted drawers under the bed for seasonal clothes. The only thing is, you really need to be interested in the Shaker style. They don't do contemporary, early American, etc.

The stated lead time was 8-10 weeks, which worked well in our situation. This time frame was accurate.

There were two minor issues with the bed and dresser, which is NOT to be expected at this price point. These were happily corrected, and certainly not the fault of The Amish Craftsman store itself. The flaws were noticed by the installers and we were immediately told. Amish Craftsman contacted the maker, and took care of both issues immediately. Great service after the sale.
