Food was good, one of the best burgers I have had in a long time, cooked to a perfect medium rare. The historic decor is funky in a good way. They poured the best black and tan I have ever seen (using Guinness and Sierra Nevada), it maintained separation through the whole pint!

Very nice dining Establishment. The building was constructed sometime around 1780 and served as a public travelers house. Multiple separate small dining room make for a very intimate romantic dinner. Very rustic, but what else would you expect.
Excellent american cusine. Service very attentive and the attire is period dress.
Here is something I pulled off my blog; I had already wrote a teeny write up for Hagan's, and while this isn't MUCH longer, it's a bit "more."
Friends took me to dinner last night. Hagan's Tavern. I had forgotten how much I like the dark little bar, with the rickety wood floors, and the patio for outdoor seating. I think I'll pop over to yelp.com and do up a review! We sat inside, actually. Rain. Probably in the same room as George Washington once sat as this circa 1785 building served as a stopping point for travelers and army men! It's a "living history masterpiece" per their web site. You may find it odd or not your cup of tea, but I think it's charming that the entire staff dresses in period attire to maintain the spirit. John, our kind and perceptive waiter ---- was excellent. And my scallops from the specials menu...... I should have paid more attention to jot it down here, but perhaps it was Gruyere cheese melted on top, with a white creamy wine sauce. Devine! The boys had Red Snapper that I would have been equally as happy with!
