Salesperson: Those jeans look great on you. We just got them in, they're the newest style.
To myself in my head: LIAR! No they're not, they're already on sale on shopbop.com.

I'm not too fond of the associates there. I wish I had the option to prevent them from reaping the commission of my purchase. They really don't deserve it. However, I do love the selection at Bloomingdales, particularly the y.e.s. contemporary collection. The brands they carry are really untouchable; James Perse, Seven, True Religion, French Connection, Vince, etc.

My very first trip to the Westfield Bloomingdale's was to return a sweater.  I hate returns, I hate the whole ordeal of the receipt and the questioning and the entering of zipcodes.  It's generally a pain in the ass.

And it started out no differently when I went to Bloomingdale's a week ago.  I began at the cosmetics level.  Of COURSE no one could help me there, what I had in the bag was fuzzy and had sleeves and they deal only with things in liquid or powder form.  Urgh.

I can only compare Bloomingdale's cosmetics floor to the hostess stand in a busy restaurant.  Peruse any eatery on a busy night and you'll see frantic bartenders, crazed servers, and militant busboys.  Pry yourself away from this action and take a gander at the hostess stand.  Chances are, you will see a girl twirling her hair, reapplying her lipgloss, and delving back into the new issue of Vogue.  Their job is to look cute and nothing more, and they know this.  Such is the case  at Westfield Bloomingdale's multiple cosmetics counters, so one star for their total lack of helpfulness.

I was pushed up to the next floor, where not one, not two, but THREE different salespeople passed the buck on my return, asking me what brand it was before they would answer any questions for me.  Who the F*&K are these people and why do they work here?  Label snobs IN the department store?  Jesus.  Zero stars for the non-help in Max Mara, Tory Burch, and True Religion departments.

Bloomingdale's saving grace, and the reason I have to give 5 stars, was Leslie Tibbetts.  She is their St. John's specialist, and though this was NOT the brand of the cashmiracle I was returning, she gave me no gripe about it.  She was curious as to why I had wound up all the way in her department, when I had passed so many others along the way who could have helped.  Though she was visibly perturbed by this lack of attention, she didn't badmouth anyone.  She just did my return.

There was an issue with the hangtag that meant she had to consult an enormous book of scancodes to find my item, which she did pleasantly and quickly.  She seemed to understand that I had 9 minutes left in my meter and had already dealt with a lot of lameness on my way to her.

I left with a merchandise card that I can use anytime, and a happy glow on my face from the niceness of  Ms. T.  I have never purchased anything St. John's, but would do so in the future just to have the experience of dealing with her again.

Three cheers for Leslie!

For some reason, I only step foot in this department store for:

a) my grandmother. she is a shopaholic. she spends ridiculous amounts of money on clothes. she loves bloomies.
b) to use the restroom.
c) to get my chanel sunglasses tightened.a pair that didn't even come from here.
d) easy access to the food court (duh!).

The 4 stars goes to the sales lady and sales boy in the Sunglasses Dept. The sales lady has a Bruno (from Dancing with the Stars) accent; you just really have no idea what country that was from and it sounds entirely made up but you're kind of jealous of her because she can keep it up ALL day and have people WONDER "what accent is that?!" so intriguing and mysterious. What a hot mess! Love it. Well, her and her pet, the sales boy, always tighten my sunglasses for me, and somehow the 2nd time I ever got them tightened from her, she recognized me. She probably thought I was some other asian chick, since we all look alike and all,but she is just very very kind. Same with her pet who tightens my glasses with a snap of her fingers.

Oh Bloomingdales! I want to love you, why don't you want to love me back?

I happily pranced over to the Jo Malone counter (perhaps it was my prancing that offended?) to sample the lime basil cologne I had only fantasized about. I own both the fig and lavender amber fragrances thanks to mom, but have never actually seen a Jo Malone counter before and was very eager to get a nose full. Unfortunately not only was I not greeted by the snotty gal and guy who were running the counter as I approached, but my leather jacketed, skinny jeaned and Converse wearing self was given a discerning once over and they both then promptly removed themselves from the premises. Seriously. They looked me up and down and then walked in back. And they did not return. I was there for another ten minutes smelling several fragrances I hadn't seen before and finally gave up, sulking away, to the likes of cheaper mall stores where I obviously was a seemingly better fit.

Alas, it seems I will never be elite enough to don one of those coveted brown paper bags.

The formal mens store has an excellent sales staff. Thank you Ken and associate if your still working. The Boss suit is elegant, a perfect fit. A late, rainy afternoon; nontheless, you offered excellent service.
Only regret was that the customers that arrived, later were more respectful.
Have a good year, and hope to see you and your sales friend upon my next return to San Francisco!

I still don't get it - every store is like a state of confusion.  So hard to shop and always lack of salesperson.

AND what's the big deal about "The Brown Bag"?!?  I hate it - it's like a grocery shopping bag.  For what one pays shopping at Bloomie - a sturdy beautiful colorful glossy bag is in order, damn it!

Bloomingdale's:
Pros:
1. Your mere emergence/existence has quite possibly helped increase, if not at the very least, helped to ensure my property value stays the same.
2. You have awesome, clean public bathrooms that are always there when I need them.
3. You give my girlfriend another destination to visit when she is in my 'hood (and another reason to come down to my 'hood).
4. You stay open late to let me use your elevators to get to & from the movie theater.
Cons:
1. You are VERY VERY EXPENSIVE.
2. When they built you, they had to tear down Big Heart City (one of my favorite nightclubs to go to back in day...).

This Bloomingdales has grown on me. They have the best "must have" and "on sale" selection, cleanest and well decorated store, and a city location that can't be beat. A great and easy place to splurge where even designers from LV, Dior, Chloe, Ferragamo, Fendi, to Burberry are accessible.

3 strikes and you're out.

Strike 1:  In December, I was searching for a red beret to wear to a party.  The salesperson in the hat department didn't know what a beret was.

Strike 2: In March, I went in to the men's department and asked if they carried Balenciaga.  She asked, "Who!?" and I repeated myself.  She smiled and said they did and asked me to follow her.  On the way, she made a joke about how she misunderstood me that went something along the lines of, "I was like, 'Who was he talking about... and then I realized..." and chuckled.  I chuckled, too.  After walking across the floor, we stopped in front of what can only be described as (and I mean no offense here) an old man's sweater.  The label read Ballantyne.  She told me to let her know if I wanted to try anything on and walked away.  I did, too... right out the store.

Strike 3: I enter the fragrance department and ask one of the guys at the counter if they carry Costume Nacional 21.  He asked me to wait a moment while he checked.  I followed to the other end of the counter where he relayed my question to his coworker.  His coworker, already flustered, turns to me and asks indignantly, "What are you looking for?"  His coworker says, "Costume Nacional."  He then became impatient (this man's body language was overt and obnoxious) and, in a tone more elevated than even before, "Clothes or fragrance?"  I said, "Umm... fragrance." as we were standing in the fragrance department.  He turned away and said, "No."  I look at his coworker who is obviously embarrassed and asked, "Do you carry any of their fragrance line?"  Still turned away, he says "No we don't have anything of theirs."  I said, "Well, Saks and Nieman's said to come here, so might you know any place in the city that carries their fragrance line?"  Still turned away, he waves his hand in the air and says, "Try Barney's."  That was the best advice he gave.  (see forthcoming Barney's review)

So, why will I never buy from that store?  Anyone who works in a hat section in any store, luxury goods or not, should know what a hat as ubiquitous as a beret is.  Anyone selling designer clothes should be familiar with a designer/label that's been around since the early part of the 1900s.  And thirdly, you don't act that way to people whether you're in a service position or otherwise.

Whoever the store manager is needs to raise their expectations a bit.

Your goodies, your displays, your whole environment makes me wish I was Uncle Scrooge swimming in his gold coins.

The store in itself is designed very well. Eye pleasing displays of designer brand items on every floor. Clean, sleek, and fancy!

A heaven for a shoe-holic, bag-whore, or make-up-holic!

From the few times I have shopped there, the staff was pretty friendly. Although sometimes it is hard to get greeted when you are just browsing. Other than that, I just advise trying not to blow your paycheck !

I did an unorthodox thing... since my upcoming October wedding is very relaxed, and outdoors in the late summer heat, I decided to also check out the fancy dress department of Bloomingdale's, on the off chance that I might get lucky and find a dress that might work for my wedding. I shared the department with several girls looking for their prom dresses, and I felt sort of like the oldest teenager ever.

The saleslady was super nice, and though she was realy busy with a lot of other customers, she asked if I was looking for something for a wedding (I guess this wasn't such an original idea after all! And hey, do I really look that old?? I could be shopping for my prom, right?) But I did find several lightweight fabric dresses that might work for an informal wedding!

There were some great designer dresses, obviously none with a train or anything, but several that would have done ok, and in really nice fabrics. However, when I began looking at price tags, I realized that I really wasn't saving much for my compromises. The average price tag seemed to be around 1 to 2K, and most were still going to be over my budget of $1,200 with tax and alterations. And there were style issues, because, going to all those fancy bridal designer dress places, I had picked up the notion that any garment you spend this much on better flatter you from every angle. And none really did, meaning that some of the dresses would have required major alterations, and would have added to the costs.

So in the end, this idea didn't really pan out for me. But I heart Bloomies anyway.

The saying "you get what you pay for" applies very well when you shop here. I recently had a problem with a purchase (won't go into boring details), but it was resolved. If I was shopping at say Macy's, I would of been given the run around. Anyhow, ask for Anthony to assist you. He's very attentive, polite and helpful. They also provide alterations at no cost, so that's cool. Other than that, they always have cool stuff.

Cheers!

Growing up on Long Island (please never say 'in' Long Island to me),  Bloomingdale's was the shit back when it was on Franklin Avenue in Garden City.  Going there was a special treat, knowing anything you bought would make the other kids at school jealous.

So, I have been a devoted Bloomingdale's shopper since I was a pre-teen.  When I moved to SF, I would regularly schlep down to the disappointing store at Stanford.  When they opened the SF store I was super excited.

It is a beautiful store and the main floor is very reminiscent of the main floor of NY department stores which I love.  The selection is great although a bit more upscale than the Bloomingdale's of my memories.

My one complaint is that the service is not on par with the prices.  And, some of the merchandising is a little backwards ass.  Why hang the denim with the price & size tags against the wall?  I nearly had to destroy a display of Sevens looking for my size only to find that there were none and, all the while, no one offered me any assistance.

Yeah, I know this ain't Bergdorf's but come on, Bloomie's!  Put your best foot forward!

There are certain stores that make me never want to eat again.  And coming from a girl who (clearly) likes food, that's a big, big thing.

Bloomingdale's has so many of my favorite brands under one roof:  BCBG, M A R C by Marc Jacobs, Splendid, C&C California, Citizens of Humanity, Rock & Republic, Diane Von Furstenburg, Laundry by Shelli Segal, and other brands that make me long for the days I was a much more svelte (and severely underfed) size 4.

Then there's the floor that has bags (I'm a purse whore) and shoes (I'm a shoe whore), including the separate Jimmy Choo, Dior, and Vuitton salons (OMG why leave Bloomie's?).

Oh, and let's not forget the gleaming expanse of makeup and perfume - because let's face it, if I can't afford or fit anything upstairs, there's always something to buy THERE.

Thank you, Bloomindale's, for reminding me that buying really expensive clothes and shoes and bags and cosmetics makes me oh so happy.  You've killed my appetite for at least 48 hours.

Bloomingdale's has the BEST DESIGNER JEANS department EVER! Half of the third floor is filled with designer jeans. Racks and racks and many more racks of them. I love the 7s corner. They have all the newest jeans on the racks. Every time I'm in the westfield mall I have to stop by bloomingdale's to check out their jeans. Customer Service is also another plus. They're all super friendly and will be more than happy to set you up with a fitting room if you need one.

I remember it like it was yesterday....

Walking down Market noticing that they were finally going to put something in that crappy looking space next to Nordstroms....

Thus Bloomingdale's was born.

I was afraid of it I must say. Why you ask? B/c I knew that is I were to enter this mother I would loose my savings, my rent and prolly try to get an advance on my pay check. I mustered up the strength to go inside recently. i had my mother in had in order to restrain me and well I was her restraint as well. It was beauty-full. It was amazing. It was everything that I had hoped and dreamed and knowing that I couldn't by a damn thing gave me a bit of comfort. Sorta. I was so overwhelmed that I spent a good amount of time on the entry level. Hell i haven't been up or down stairs. I'm going to have to save that for another day. I was caught up with LV and Fendi and Ferragammo and Dior. I didn't know what to do with myself.

It was for the best. I must say though.... the service that I did receive was nice. I do work in the beauty industry so I spend a great deal of my time comparing products and prices and reading ingredients of skincare items... Yes I have a problem and constantly work off the clock....

God i can't wait to see what's on the next level. Shit I didn't even see clothes....which was probably for the best.

Nothing says, " I have nothing better to spend my money on than this crystalized butterfly", better than Bloomingdale's.

I have a shopping problem, I know I do! Parking is great in the lot across the street and I am not phased one bit by the deranged older women running around looking for Prada. No way! I jump right in and shop with the best of them.

Weekends are not for the beginner shoppers!

This review is for their cosmetics dept.

I have recently converted from being an avid Sephora shopper and have instead been splitting my cosmetics dollars between Bloomingdales and Neimans. Between the two, all my beauty needs are covered and I don't have to deal with the zoo of a cattle call that Sephora has become.   Check their site to see the complete list of brands they carry, but for my needs they have Nars, Benefit, Laura Mercier, and Clarins (who makes the best waterproof black eyeliner on earth!) They always have things in stock (unlike Sephora) and there are plenty of helpers there who DON'T look like the overly done drag queens..definitely a plus.

Also, I must note that I am a department store kind of girl and love the elaborate HUGE feel of the store.  This is definitely not the kind of place you would go to with someone who was seeking a more low-key shopping atmosphere.  I can even bring my boyfriend here as their home and bedding selection is awesome and even he (a total NON shopper) loves the towels here.

(For the men's shopping experience)

The brilliant thing about Bloomingdales is that, unlike most shopping experiences, this store does not try to confuse you with its layout.   Compare this to the Westfield Center it is attached to, with its escalators in bizarre locations.

As you enter through the mall you're presented with a very minimal men's fragrance counter with no one trying to spray with sample smells on you (Thank you).   There are shoes to your left and right.  Dress shoes on the right, casual/athletic on the left.  (No size 15's, but I'll let that slide.)  Front left is brands like Theory and Hugo Boss for younger professionals (currently my target market).  Back left is Young Casual, where you buy overpriced jeans and t-shirts.  The right side is for older folks.  Ralph Lauren Polo, and so forth in the back, plus the underwear section featuring gratuitous photos of headless men with absurdly developed abdominals (that I will never have no matter how long I spend at the gym).   Front right is suits and Armani, if that's the way you roll.   I'm not there yet.

It's all so simple.  There's no attempts to fool you or trick you into buying something you don't want, just quiet confidence.   I like that.

I like bloomingdales.  Very diverse men's section; formalware, grunge/hipster (with a hefty tag of course), business wear, casual, etc.  If you can get passed the prices you'll enjoy bloomingdales.  Also, their bedding section is pretty good too, and not nearly as expensive as you might think.  I bought a calvin klein duvet for under 100.  it was pretty wild.

no comments on women's clothing,  but there are several designated floors so i'm sure it's well done.

You know what  I just realized...I've NEVER seen the shoe section in this place.  How is that humanly possible?

Note to self:  must see shoes next time I make a stop.

I think I like this store about as much as I like Nordstrom, except Bloomys has a much better denim selection.  The people are always really helpful as well, and I swear most of them are from Russia (with love of course).

Great fragrance and cosmetic section as well.

P.S.  This store knows how to throw a SALE!

I wasn't real excited about Bloomingdales coming to San Francisco, and up until the Christmas shopping season have only been in the store less than a handful of occasions.  However, I picked up some super hot deals on items here, like a gorgeous silk Italian tie for my dad for like $14 and a really cool cocktail jacket for $35.  With the brand's reputation, I'm shocked to find such deals, but they will definitely bring me back to the store more often.  An added bonus is that the staff is really friendly and very helpful.  And the store still looks pretty shiny and new!

I love bloomies. I think, because it's new, it's finally having the kind of sales i was used to from a bloomies...like when you find something for $30 that you just can't believe. At first, I was a bit put off by the swankiness, but it has grown on me, MOSTLY due to the rad sales they have had (they're starting to loosen up!). The frequently run 40% off shoes, and most recently I got a marc bag for 50% off!
I'm never that thrilled at the men's section here, though my husband loves that they carry paul smith. I tend to do better at the impulse section of Macy's, but for those high-end items Macy's doesn't have, i'll take this bloomies over the sf nordstrom anyday!

Having been out of town for a few, I didn't see the grand opening of Westfield Mall.  Seems as though San Francisco is growing up a bit.

I followed the seemingly ant-like trail of people into the Westfield Mall, and to make a long story short, found my way to the Bloomingdale's fragrance counter.  It was here that I was met the the most charming Asian fragrance salesman.  I enjoyed his pleasant attitude, and, considering that I wasn't wearing all the best of the best, he still treated me with great respect and transcended my somewhat disheveled appearance, which seemed to me to bring on a sale, just because I liked him.  He smooth talked and charmed his way into a sale of Bulgari Aqua but it was worth the $50 some odd bucks, just because he was ideal in his customer service. Insanity, I know, but he gave me a taste of real customer service that I haven't seen in at least a decade; or perhaps I simply didn't have the millions that might command that sort of service. I didn't get his name, but I wish I had, so that I could refer him this commendation.

The joy of Bvlgari Aqua kept me afloat into the mens section where the price tags nearly had me faint. "Once you get out of law school" I told myself, reassuringly.  I dismissed this pretentious divo at the Polo jeans section from a sale for conversely behaving in seemingly unwarranted aristocratic behavior and sass, that I might have anticipated from the Asian fragrance guy and not from the Latin jeans salesman ( I can say all that, I'm both).  Its so disparaging to see colonial mentality in my brown bretheren albeit working in Bloomindales or what have you.  Nevertheless, back to the story.  After dismissing the jeans salesman for his rude comments, I met another, yes Asian, older salesman who just rocked my sox off with his customer service skills.  He really took great care and addressed me with candor and initiative.

What a juxtaposition in customer service at Bloomingdales, and the prices don't help any for a freelance writer/critic/couch philosopher and prelaw student but nevertheless, I liked the pampering and so I must give kudos, where kudos are due...and that is with the nice Asian salesmen that I met at Bloomingdales. I thank you kindly!

I like this store... why? Because well... I have a habit... I am trying to kick it, but the nice sales people I have met at Bloomies are not helping me. I try and try to shake it, but I can't.  I have one of those cool cards that gives me additional discounts, buy 6 pairs of shoes and get a discount on a pair... but why oh why am I addicted?  I guess I have just encountered fab costumer service... me and my bad habits.  I like the location, I like the sales, I like the sales people who are really polite, but not too fake... not like Neiman's or other high end stores... so they are cool in my book.  I have gotten good deals there... can't say I would buy much in the clothing area because that is a bit more $$$ that I want to spend... sale or no sale... but I still have a special place for Bloomies in my heart. =)

I went to Boomingdale's today ro get a new pair of shoes for a firm holiday bash this Saturday. Your security followed me the whole time. Plain clothes, but obvious as a pimple on my forehead.

Racism is alive and well here.

Your Ferragamo loafers ($419) I will not buy. Even though I had $500 cash and 3 zeroed-out credit cards. Shame on you, all of you, for prejudging. I will not patronize you, EVER again.

Tip: People of color, stay away.

So I went shopping with my girlfriends yesterday.

I expected to see them for luch and a leisurly afternoon of Christmas shopping for our family and friends at Bloomingdales.
They were coming in from Walnut Creek, Concord and Foster City.

So we started at Lark Creek for lunch and some Champagne toasts at the bar with the game on in the background.

Before I could finish my second glass of Champagne we were off to shopping.........mmmmm that was a fast lunch?

So we make our way over to Bloomies.

I suggested we shop for alike gifts such as moms presents , girlfriends presents and such, everyone agreed and we were off and running .

Actually they were running everywhere, I couldn't keep track of anyone!

So there I was shopping alone, when Chantel calls to me from the dressing room.....
"Katherine were in here, hurry up get in here".

I walk into the dressing room of Bloomies and there is my friend I'll call her T with her top off and showing us her new boob job !

"Katherine the perfectionist, come and feel them I want your expert opinion"

Ok so now I'm thinking, where are the cameras because this has got to be a set up...and/or where's Marc because I'm going to Kill him for putting them up to this.

These are my friends and yes I'm  thrilled for T and her new boobs but call me a provincial midwestern girl but there is no way I'm squeezing her boobs, at least not without several bottles of Champagne in me.

Ok now my other friend is complaing about the size of hers, so she takes off her top and BOOM out they come, ......AM I IN SOME OTHER UNIVERSE TODAY?

I want to excuse myself blushing a bit , no a lot but they mercilessly pull me in and insist on my opinion on their boobs AND bottoms ,
I was so close and they pull me back in.....

At this point we're talking about liposuction for our stomachs and saddlebags and anywhere else a woman can obsess about !

There were clothes off and naked women everywhere yes including me in this very large dressing room comparing everything from teeth to well um.....everything !

Sorry can't mention the um everything part .... a pit personal...... but I can say that I do have girlfriends that are naturally beautiful with or without plastic surgery and I'm always telling them that.

They never listen to a thing I say ........Hello.
All I hear is  'Katherine feel my bottom , don't you think I need lipo'
Oh go ahead feel her boobs they feel so real....

They actually have amazing jobs, are great moms and have great humor .
Hey, this is what the thirties plus brings -staying competitive with the 20 somethings.

We quickly had to shop fast and then everyone kissed and departed to home.

It's only 3pm...........?

Well .........mmmmmm

We had a Steak and Champagne lunch at the bar watching football.

Nude dressing room girl talk / including  touching.

Speed shopping that would make the worst hater of shopping proud.

I just realized, I just had..............A perfect Christmas shopping day ,

For A Guy .......!!

I purchased a pair of Spanx plus two beautiful hats.  When I decided that I didn't really need the Spanx and tried to return it, they wouldn't let me put the entire amount back to the credit card with which I purchased.  Instead they had to put $6.38 cents on to a gift card for some reason I still don't understand.

They do have some good sales for things that are no longer "in style."

And their concierge is very useful.

It's that holiday season again which means severe impact on my wallet, not really because I am buying gifts but because everytime I go shopping for gifts I end up with something for myself.

After mightily resisting the clothes section of Bloomingdales ever since it opened in SF, I innocently wandered in, thinking I would pick up my mother some lovely Eileen Fisher jacket (really, I think of Eileen Fisher as the epitome of simple elegant clothing for older women...and they tailor their ads as though their clothes will somehow add the necessary veneer of wisdom to aging).  I did note some possibilities for my mother there, and then kept on meandering.  Unfortunately, I somehow ended up at the Diane von Furstenberg section where, on a sales rack, hung the most gorgeous Elizabethean-influenced style sweater (purposefully ruffled sleeves, slimmer tailoring along the bodice ending in long ruffles and a higher collar).  I won't tell you the amount I paid for that sweater, even on sale...it will give away my sheer frivolity when it comes to beautifully designed clothes.

Bloomingdales: 5 stars for beautiful clothes minus one for my inability to resist temptation.

Oh, and I love their downstairs with all the beautiful plate settings, silverware and linens.  It's like walking through a magazine photo shoot.

This review is solely for the "fancy evening dress"-floor:

Picture it: two girls in army pants, Doc's/sneakers, no make-up and disheveled hair hidden under ski hats running their normally power-tool-wielding hands through all the 4-digit-priced gowns.

Not only did the sales team not frown on us, but they were polite, charming and extremely helpful even when faced with inane questions like "is that the front or the back of the dress?".

The dressing rooms are HUGE and really nice with those revolving platforms and all around mirrors, and they have shoes in there that you can use to try with your dress. Just the perfect amount of girliness that even non-girly girls will love.

Thanks to all that, we felt comfy and not out of place and found the perfect gown for my flat mate to wear to her brother's wedding. Now we just have to find the cheap knock-off, because, sorry, Bloomie, I may love you, but you're still ridiculously overpriced!

The sales associates could get really snotty! They look at you like you dont got the money to buy anything. Just because I'm young doesn't mean I don't have money. (Well even if I don't, don't look at me that way) I only come here for my Chanel sunglasses or my 7 jeans.

Rude, Rude, Rude!!  Bloomies does have a great selection,  and amazing restrooms, but the service here is a joke.  I have never had a sales person argue with me before over what I wanted, and told me what I wanted was "not the trend" so "we do not carry it".  So you must be thinking I wanted some snake-skin tights or a patent purple rain jacket right?  no, I wanted slim cut jeans.  Not skinny, not totally straight, but slim. like the hotness of skinny jeans, but wide enough so they fit over your shoes, ladies am I crazy here?

.....okay so I move on, not letting this crazy Ukrainian sales person ruin my shopping.

Another Sales Person asks me if I need help, ah yes.

"I am looking for-"
abruptly stops listening because his other bloomies employee friends are walking by. "omg like what are you doing after work?!..etc."

WTF?  so I left after that happened.  FU Bloomies.  Get a grip sales people, you WORK there.

I've never been fond of the one in Palo Alto. But this one... WOW.  From the boutiques, to the home department, everything sparkles.

I prefer clothes shopping alone. In other words I don't like sale associates holding my hand and callin out buddy system.  Here I'm given time to look and visualize on my own.  Never hounded or immediately shoved into a dressing room. They always know when I'm ready to make my selection and sized for fittings.

The service was excellent in every department.  They were friendly and cheerful even during the hectic holiday season.

The store was beautiful, clean and captured my interest with every turn.  Though it being 3 levels I could easily be lost.

So why no 5th star - because d*** Boomingdale's is so expensive!

But they have a great selection of anything you could ever want and it truely is a mecca of it's own - well if you have lots of money to burn - but still for a girl who doesn't love shopping this place is pretty amazing.
