Coming from Texas, I feel like I know BBQ, and maybe that's why this place only gets 3 stars. I had a Brisket sandwich and a side of potato salad, which with tax, cost $8.46.

Let's talk about the good: the taste of the meat was great. Nice and smoky. It was also tender. But it was pretty dry. I like my brisket wet, and wasn't given a choice for my preference. Thank goodness for the BBQ sauce, which I liked. Thin and vinegary, just the way I like it.

I didn't like the bun at all. Just a plain bun. A bit dry. My favorite sandwich in Texas comes with a nice toasted bun, and also has onions and pickles available on the side. This had none of that. Just a plain bun with some meat.

I did like the potato salad. There just wasn't near enough of it. If I'm paying over $8 for lunch, I'd like more than a sample cup of my side.

Overall, I don't think I'll be back until things change a bit. I hope they do, because Tooele Valley could really use a good BBQ joint.

I love this place, friendly staff, fabulous food, best cole slaw ever ! I just wish they would have warm cornbread instead of cold. I also wish the sides were a little larger. You won't be sorry you ate there.

This has changed hands and has a different name now but food was still delicious! Service warm and welcoming but slow, they were swamped when we went. Definitely worth a visit.

Nice mom and pops store, been in business a little over a year, tried their BBQ pulled pork sandwich which was really good especially with the sweet n sassy sauce. Only thing I didn't really like were the portion of the sides, it was like this little tester cup that really wouldn't fill any normal size person with a descent appetite. It was good good all in all and the price was descent.

Great place for lunch or dinner! I had pulled pork and ranch beans, and both we're excellent. The ranch beans especially are a real standout. If you're in Grantsville, put this place on your list!

OMG! I am from the south and mediocre BBQ is hard to find these days anywhere. I have heard about Richards from a side conversation and decided to try it. Richard was there that day and a total mind blowing experience. My fiance and I had the triple meat plate with brisket, ribs, and chicken. The two side we had were jambalaya and broccoli salad. Price wise was super cheap for the food we received. The brisket you could flake with a fork "A Fork" the ribs were a lick smacking experience as well as the chicken. The jambalaya for my fiance was the greatest thing since sliced bread, since I only received 2 bites out of the jambalaya lol. The lemonade was the homemade stuff from the south sweet and tart at the same time. I usually don't tip at restaurants at all; because my opinion is that they charge way too much for there food. This food was so good I tipped the man $10.00 for a $15.00 meal. While we were eating Richard and his nephew came and sat at the table next to us and talked the whole meal a very pleasant conversation. Will i go eat there again? You better believe I will :)
