I love My Beauty Diary Masks, but unfortunately they are sold around Los Angeles, The San Francisco Area, or in Texas. However, I emailed the owner and called the market company to stock these masks at this location since they didn't have any. I love how quickly they responded to my request and I got the masks today for $15.99 for a box of 10 masks.

This is excellent customer service and the store is incredibly organized and clean.  They only have 7 types of masks available, but they're missing some. I hope they stock more of a variety soon! I'm very pleased. If you want more of a variety I suggest you email them. Happy shopping everyone :)

Making a plug for this chain to applaud its response to the changing demographics of OC.

Great location as it's a move-in rather than the usual massive mall which 99 often builds itself.

The newer store means that everything feels new and clean.  The size is a bit smaller than the built-to-suit stores, but all the standard departments are here.

So far, no problem with lines or parking on the couple of visits, but I expect it get busier as it is competition for the chains nearby.

I have been a fan of 99 Ranch for many years.  I was so happy when I found out they were opening this location so close to my house.  Being Asian and having grown up in Hawaii, I have certain things I need in life.  Shoyu, rice, fresh seafood and vegetables.  In addition, the deli is nice in the back.  They sell roast duck, roast suckling pig with the crispy skin and singapore rice noodles, my favorite.

It is nice to be able to go to an Asian market and have the store and lot feel uncrowded vs Marukai and Mitsuwa.  In addition, this store is closer to my house.  I come here on a weekly basis

This market has a great selection. Especially their live seafood, bakery, produce, and hot takeout food. They have good prices on their fish, I usually get a salmon filet, tilapia or eel, and its always fresh and good.

The staff is very friendly, and i've never had more than one person ahead of me in line. The aisles are nice and wide too.

Definitely the cleanest 99 Ranch I've ever seen!
Their meat counter and seafood selections are extremely fresh. And their prices are amazing. The prices in Irvine are outrageous and the selection doesn't seem as fresh.
I do like that they sell bulk ground chicken. The other locations all serve frozen, pre-packed ground chicken, at higher prices of course.
Their takeout char siu and dim sum is good. But on weekends expect a long line.
The selection of frozen dumplings they have is huge! Takes awhile to go thru this section.
The produce is fair. Not so great. I think better selections are available at Korean markets.

Love 99 Ranch Market and LOVE it even more for being only 10 minutes away!

I always come here to grab my meats, veggies, and snacks for the place. Especially when I do hot pot nights, they got the lamb, pork, beef, or chicken meat already thinly sliced. Compared to American grocery stores, i think the prices of vegetables are way more cheaper with more selection.
And if you don't mind the crowd on Sundays, it's sample day!

This is a very clean Asian Market. It does not look like many of the markets you see in Little Saigon. Those places scare me and I can only image what non Asian folks think of them.

This is a good place to get deep fried fish. Pick a fish out and they will cut it and deep fry it for you for free. The last thing I want to do is fry fish in my apartment. That smell stays with you for days even though you open all the windows while cooking.

They also have cheap Chinese food. I got a 3 item combo with fried rice, soup and a couple of fruit yogurt candy for $4.99. I had the fried shrimp, kung pao chicken and sweet and sour pork. It was a very good bang for your buck. All were decent tasting.

The deli in the market also sells roasted pig, duck and chicken by the pound. It didn't look that great. I would rather go down to Little Saigon for that stuff.

The bakery is pretty decent. They sell some of the same pastries you may see at JJ or 85c.

Their seaweed selection is pretty good. From small individual packs for snacking on to big sheets for making your own sushi.

Plus this is the place I go to get several items they don't sell at your local supermarket like dried squid and Asian style beef jerky.

I'm glad this place is in my hood now. Many times it saves me a trip to Little Saigon.

Yay! An Asian market near my house to hold me over for when I can go up to GG for Korean groceries! I love this place!

Reasons why I LOVE this place:
    -Prices are awesome!
-Produce is fresh (but I only buy stuff I can't find at Bruce's across the street, I like to help out the little guy :)
-Very clean! If you're a regular visitor to Asian markets, then you know how questionable the cleanliness can be.
-HUGE seafood section! I love seeing a butcher section where beef is the minority
-The bakery is tasty and cheap (try the taro rolls!)
-The restaurant is awesomely priced and the girl working there does NOT slack! She gives you a ridiculous amount of food which makes it VERY possible to feed 2-3 people on one order!
-The boba at the restaurant is SOOOOO good that I go to the grocery store just for that!

The only reason why I gave this place 4/5 instead of 5/5 is because the sweet and sour pork at the restaurant has bones in it... the feck?

I Don't think I have ever been excited to go grocery shopping, until I went to 99 Ranch Market. Not only is it bustling with good deals and busy shoppers this place is immaculate! The produce selection has the best variety and such fresh fruit, but what impressed me the most was the seafood department. My boyfriend being a chef and myself not too used to fresh seafood, he decided we were going to have a feast.

    1 large live #1 3lb dungeness crab - $9
2lbs live little neck clams $5.50
    3lbs fresh shrimp $6
    1 bunch of leeks $1
    1 bunch of spinach $1
10 piece ct chocolate mochi ice cream $5
1 bottle cheap white *cooking* wine $3

When it was all said and done we spent $31!!!! For a seafood feast, dessert and a little left over wine made me so happy I can't wait to come back next week and see what I can get for $60!  5 Stars 99 Ranch Market I will be back!

    GMIT: I want boba!
Me: Aren't you cutting back on your sugar intake?
GMIT: RAWR! Life sucks without boba! I'll make it with stevia...
    Me: Okay.
GMIT: (small voice) can you get me some boba balls?

I came here after work. This location is the cleanest, nicest-looking 99 Ranch I've visited. It felt more upscale than the one in Anaheim. Cool jazz radiates from the speakers.

I found the tapioca pearls (boba balls) pretty quickly. I eyed the seafood section, full of live crabs and lobsters. The crustaceans were lively.

The meat section had some good deals, so I picked up a few steaks. Minus one star because the butcher is very slow. VERY slow.

Produce was fun, nicely varied. I found sweet potatoes, okra, dragon fruit, baby bok choy. I wanted to buy lots more produce, but didn't want to get more than I could use. The plastic bags are extremely hard to open.

The bakery is well-laid out, with friendly staff.

GMIT appreciated the boba balls, and now drinks her boba unsweetened, liking it better that way.

I'll definitely visit here again. I want to try the deli. I hope it's better than Anaheim's.

I loves me their cheap sushi !
    Around 6:30pm every day, almost all their prepared food selections are sold at 50% off;

I think the Asian mothers have begun to take greater notice of this and I have to get here early to get my share!

I know this because Tyler... ahem... I mean .... mother knows this.

Actually, I just had their "Dragon" roll for dinner; t'was decent.
Put it in the oven long enough to get a crisp out of a couple of the eel pieces!

Also got meself a decent rib eye steak for the morrow!

I am Alan's anxious taste buds.

    To conclude, this here is a clean, Asian super market;
not to imply that Asian super markets and and lack of sanitation go hand in hand.
This here establishment is just cleaner than the average Asian market.^_^

Smaller scale version of the typical Ranch99 markets that I'm used to but is conveniently located for me when visiting relatives nearby. Parking is easy and I've never seen large crowds like at other Ranch99 stores so its an easy in, out, "buy something quick" kind of place.

Honestly, these prices are hard to find especially from asian markets. If you haven't checked it out now is the time with its amazingly dropped prices.

The downside is that you should come early!! And I mean EARLY! There's no doubt about it that it's going to be SUPER crowded and if you're planning on buying the duck, chicken, or dim sum be prepared to wait. Estimated wait in line for dim sum would be from 10-20 min because it takes about 15 min to make everything if there's nothing left. Duck and chicken 1-2 hours because of the overloaded amount of VIETNAMESE customers, there's going to be a humongous line in the meat section of the hot deli department.

Well, since the place is still fairly new, it's actually still pretty nice and clean in there (don't even get me started on how trashed the first 99 Ranch in OC got to be). They took over the old 98 Cent Marukai (sniff sniff) store.  The prices are decent. Bought a bunch of stuff for Lunar New Year for a fairly affordable price. The place can be tight, especially when you're checking out (you'll see), so I can't even imagine what it is like when it gets super busy.  The selection is pretty good. Glad there is a 99 Ranch closer to my house now. Gosh, I don't think I could ever live in area  without an Asian supermarket.

Ladies, though do be wary of the some Asian fetishers trolling around. I saw two. Ick. (shudder). Just avoid eye contact and say in English with a smile, I don't speak English. ;p

The sushi. The bakery.  The dim sum. THE CLEANLINESS.

Granted that its a new supermarket and all, but first impressions are important.  I loved their selection of cakes and their sushi just looks amazing!

Their parking however, is quickly turning into the asian hellgrounds.  Beware, drivers!

I will be visiting back quite often for the fresh sushi and their red bean buns and mini croissants~

Ever since I've moved to Fountain Valley I was kind of wondering what I would ever do to make Asian food. I'm not Vietnamese, and most of the Asian markets around the area seem to be very Vietnamese. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who would get uncomfortable trying to buy groceries in a place where I don't understand what everyone is saying. THANK GOODNESS for 99 Ranch Market.

This place has everything I need to make all the Taiwanese dishes that I've been craving. My mom's not around to make them (she lives in Taiwan). So recently I've really been stepping up to the plate and making a lot more Asian dishes. I'm not even sure that the Vietnamese supermarkets would even have some of the things that I need! Nor would I know how to find it cause I wouldn't be able to read the packaging.

This place is super clean and very well stocked. And it's got everything I need for Taiwanese shabu (which is slightly different from all the shabu restaurants in Orange County) which I'm pretty sure I would only be able to find at Chinese/Taiwanese and maybe Japanese supermarkets.

I haven't bought anything from the deli or the bakery yet, but I definitely plan on it in the near future.

This 99 Ranch is clean and afforadable, but the reason I come here can be explained in three words and one emoticon: Wonton Noodle soup :D

Expectation: A moderately sized bowl, not too many noodles (it is 99 ranch after all), 2 itty bitty wontons...

What I got: A medium sized bowl, Quite a bit of noodles (I almost gave up at some point), and at least 4 HUGE meaty wontons.

I was thoroughly impressed by the enormity of the wontons. I swear, I could throw it at someone and they'd be KO-ed. Although I wouldn't do that because the only place those bitches are going are in my MOUTH. They are actually really filling alone, but noodles/carbs never hurt anyone (:. Also, the broth was really yummy. Overall, a great dish for this cold winter! :D

Next time, I'mma get the duck. DA DUCK!

Boy, am I glad they opened this down the street from my hood!  This space has been vacant for years since they closed the Japanese store here.
My first impression when I walked through the sliding doors was..."is this an Asian market???? Super clean! Nice floors and open aisles.  They even have an impressive bakery and "food to go" section ( Chinese BBQ, dim sum, and sushi!). And it all looked very fresh and tasty!  I grabbed some baked goods, but I was too busy perusing the rest of the market to sit down in the designated dining area to nosh, but i'm definitely coming back to sample there food! The BBQ duck and pig looked scrumptious!
The prices were also excellent and the produce was very reasonably priced, especially for A and B grade (not the typical E or F grade you find at the local Asian market)
After grabbing a cartful of produce I was ready to roll...99 Ranch Market, welcome home!!

Well, my tour of 99 Ranch Markets continue (didn't have time to check out the one in Livermore, Ca. Saw it when I was in the parking lot, shopping elsewhere).

First impressions of this location. WTF is up with all the shopping carts in the parking lot? Multiple parking spaces were unparkable be of carts sitting in the space. Maybe they were too busy to get them? Nope. Walked in and it was the quietest 99 I've been to. It was late evening, too.

This location is moderately sized. Probably in between the two Irvine locations in dimensions. Everything was clean as well it should be because this is a new location. I noticed how neat everything was stacked up. The fresh seafood area was a lot more pleasing to the eye than the Anaheim location. Things really did look fresh and clean.

The prepared food section was busy. The steam tray food section didn't have the variety of other locations. Their sushi section had a lot of choices.

I didn't buy anything because I was debating whether I should buy something and make it myself or just eat at a restaurant. I decided to just eat out because my cooking sucks. I'm so bad I could over cook water.

I am really glad that we have a 99 Ranch in Fountain Valley now! I used to shop at the one in the SF Valley all the time when I lived in LA. Since moving to OC, I tried the Irvine location a couple of times, but it wasn't worth the drive.

This location is sparkling clean, well stocked and very friendly. The fish counter looked great and was thankfully lacking that "old fishy" smell that sometimes hovers over other stores' fish counters. Excellent bakery had all the favorites I'd missed like coconut toast and black sesame red bean buns. The hot food counter was fine for a quick lunch fix. Good looking dragon fruit was on special for $2 per pound.

    Hooray for 99 Ranch!

The market itself is clean with an easy and roomy parking lot, which is not what you can say about most Asian markets.  Also, a lot of the staff speak fluent English.

This place also has a bakery serving Asian style baked goods. Think 85 Degree but not as crowded.  The breads and cake taste just as good but doesn't have the variety that 85 degree has.

There is also a sushi deli making fresh sushi and rolls upon request.

Last but not least is their deli serving dim sum, BBQ, and fast food style Chinese food.  The quality and price is excellent even if they don't have the vast selection of other supermarket dim sum take outs (Yum Cha Cafe).  The deli frequently have "specials" such as $5 for 3 items plus soup and Boba,  $4 whole chicken, and $11 whole roast ducks.

The fried fish in black bean sauce and yuba (bean curd skin) are my favorite.  A plate costs about $5 and includes three items with choice of starch -  I like the rice noodle chow mien.  Not surprisingly, the produce in the grocer section is reasonably priced and fresh.  Also, this location is much cleaner and often less crowded than some other 99 Ranch Markets.

I came here today for the pre-opening sale and was totally and completely blown away. Ranch 99 has the cleanliness of Ralphs and all the food items a typical Asian can dream of.

Fruits, veggies, seafood counter with all the frozen/fresh fish, frozen section, bakery, hot prepared foods, bbq items, sushi section, small dimsum selection and various other items. You name it, you'll find it! I'm honestly in love!

With all the gooey gushing loving going on, one might wonder why only 4 stars? That, is attributable to the pricey roasted duck. One duck for $17 ? =(  I've been to the Irvine location many many times, so I can't help but compare everything I've seen here to there. Frankly, this Ranch 99 surpasses in every aspect, but the pricing of the duck. And the duck just happens to be my favorite.

Now that the Ranch 99 has opened, hopefully Sam Woo will finally follow in its footsteps. Then we'll not longer have any reason to traipse down to Irvine. =)

When I went to go shopping for Shabu Shabu ingredients at their Irvine location, I found the rice noodles that you wrap your meat with when you eat Korean BBQ. Those noodles are next to impossible to find at other Asian markets, so I made a mental note to myself to go to this 99 Ranch Market since it's closer to my house.

They don't have it at that one, so I wouldn't bother driving out there to find ingredients for rice noodles, but they have pretty much everything else. The market is really nice & their bakery area is really cute. I tried one of their curry bread samples. It was really good!

The prices are really cheap & you can find an array of tons of Asian food from Dim Sum to Sushi. I'd have to say that I deducted a star because it seemed like the workers don't understand nor speak English that well so they weren't really helpful. I also was so disappointed that they didn't have the rice noodles!

Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for cheap Asian supplies, but would caution those that don't know what the heck they're shopping for because the employees' are not 100% on their English.

The deli / cooked food area, the ladies there are still getting used to the cash register, so it's taking them awhile, so please be patient.  Really love the clean.  Good luck and I hope it takes off.

Probably by far one of the best 99 ranch markets that I have ever Been too! It's super clean and they always have good sales going. Plus its only down the street from me! Even better.. Their food to go section is good and they give out good portions. Their bakery is Also bomb. Mmm. Def one of my favorite Chinese market! I love it!

Went for grand opening. These guys kick butt. A little pricier than the asian stores in Westminster, but clean, FRIENDLY service. Customer service is terrific which is rare for these markets.
Bought the Mousse cake and peking duck on special and.. delish!! Love it. I'm SO GLAD they are down this way for us HB peeps.
My daughter loves it because she gets free food samples and balloons. Ha ha. Would love to be 2 again, cheap thrills :)

Another asian market in the neighborhood... cool! Ebisu, Marukai, Mitsuwa and now 99 Ranch... what's not to like?  Killer bakery, decent packaged sushi, fast food dim sum, fresh fish (seriously fresh... swimming) and great prices. I purchased a shopping cart full of sauces, electric rice cooker, 6 large ribeye steaks, an entire filet mignon loin, vegetables ($0.69 for a soccer ball sized bag of mushrooms), cheesecake, hazelnut cake, chashubo and more for $103!!! I'm a believer!! I've been there 3 times in the last two days!

WONDERFUL!  LOVELY!  I can get here and not all the food will be sold out.  PLUS, the food is kept fresh so it doesn't look and taste like it's been sitting out, soaking up grease smells and flavors from all the other foods around it.  It's nice also to not have to drive to Irvine or Westminster.  MY NEW ASIAN FOODS MARKET!  The food here is delightful!  Good hot dimsum AND traditional breakfast with a dash of all the popular snacks that you might feel like enjoying everyone once in a while.  As for the rest of the store, CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN.  Organized, simple, and good selections of most everything under the sun.  I'm very impressed with this place.

I could not be more thrilled that they put this market here. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! The inside is very clean and updated since it is a new market. They keep it very clean at all times. The store offers a cooked food section with whole ducks and cooked pork and other items. They also have a fast food area where you can dine in and take home great food to go. A Bakery area that offers yummy treats and breads. As a person who shops at the markets around Bolsa, I know these markets and this is very upscale and perfect for Fountain Valley. Many healthy foods and products and very fresh fish ( some you can buy alive and they'll prepare it for you) and packaged meats. This store is great and we look forward to shopping here for many years. The prices are a bit higher on some products than other Asian markets, but you have a brand new store and it we are lucky to have it right in Fountain Valley. I love going to Bolsa, but having this store so close is wonderful. The staff is also very friendly and provides excellent customer service. This store offers something for everyone. A must try!!!
