This is actually a pretty big store.  There's even a section with produce.

Anyway, I stopped by here because I needed some gloves for my Halloween costume.  I always get them here.  And...they always seem to have it.  I guess it was meant to be.

The gloves keep my hands warm, and they're cheap.  But, since I usually lose things easily... I always find myself with only one side of the glove.  Oops.

The employees here are super friendly and helpful.  I asked them where the gloves were and instead of just guessing or telling me they don't know, they went to ask their manager.  And then walked me to the section.  AND helped me find them!  And they weren't pissed off about it.  They were in a very good mood.

    Good store.

Parking: Free parking in their parking lot.  Easy to find parking.

****300th Review...Yeah*** (wish it was for something more exciting)

After eating a less than mediocre meal at Leo's across the street we wanted to walk around a bit and we spotted this 99cent store.  It was raining so parking was not that easy to find.

Once we got in I was surprised to find that it was pretty clean and had a large variety of stuff.  We cruised around all the isles looking at all the goodies for just 99cents.  This where you have to be careful because it can add up quickly and a trip here can easily set you back $50.00 or so.

Luckily I got out for $32.00 but that was mostly in greeting cards.  What a great selection of cards!!!  The lady checking us out looked like she would rather be doing anything else...as she just shoved as much as she could into a bag and barely acknowledged us as we left.  You can't expect too much here in the way of service.

But overall I was really happy with this particular location and I plan to return in the future...and I'm not usually a fan of these stores at all.

I was hesitant to write a review for this place since it's just like any other 99 Cents store. I felt it should be noted that this location is a little newer than most in the area, and it's also a bit larger than most.

Selection seems to be plentiful and it's one of the locations that sell produce.

The parking lot is huge, but it's usually packed despite its size.

Not a bad spot to check out if you're looking to shop on the cheap. There's also a couple great restaurants in the same shopping center (Chicken Maison and Havana Mania), if you happen to be hungry after shopping.

I really hate this corner strip mall...it is full of day workers that gawk at you and it's ghetto stores but I do love Havana Mania and El Gauchos.

I decided to take a look in the 99cent store and was surprised they actually have food there.  Lot's of food too including vegetables and dairy.  Hmmm...not sure I want to buy my groceries from here but if you are looking for some finds there are a few.  I found a ton of Belkin ipod covers of many designs for 99cents...not that I needed one but I know that is a great deal.

The parking lot this store is in has never been so jam packed. Ever since this store opened up, it is very difficult to find a place to park.  However, when you do should find a spot, the 99 cents store is brand new, and very clean inside.  Not everything is 99 cents - some is cheaper.

If you have a family to feed on a budget, check out what they offer.

If you're looking for party supplies, they've got those, too.

If you're one of those rare people who didn't get a calendar for Christmas last year, they still have them available by the box full here.

The kids feel like they're living large when we take them here. We give them a dollar or two and they run to the toy section debating with one another what the best toy for the money is.   Even if the toy only lasts a day, it was cheaper than a candy bar and will last a whole lot longer.

This place is great! Obviously affordable, it also carries a wide range of items as it is also fairly large (though a bit smaller than the one on 190th & Anza).

Lots of free parking in the plaza, although it gets a bit busy at lunch. Cute affordable clothing store next door. Getting out onto the street in the direction you want can be challenging. If you want to get onto Inglewood north or Manhattan Beach east - exit onto Manhattan west (next to the donut shop) and make a left onto Gibson Pl (first left) and immediate left onto the side street paralleling MB behind a hedge, you can turn back onto MB east at McBain (the next block). Much better than trying to navigate the Inglewood exit.

The biggest appeal is probably that it carries FRESH produce, much of it organic and a wide selection. The best days to find produce are Thursday and Friday. Sometimes you can get a whole bag of potatos for $0.99. They often carry bell peppers, tomatos, apples, oranges. Sometimes strawberries or blueberries.
There is also a refridgerated section with cheeses, milk, soymilk, etc. A large assortment of canned foods & cereals, and tea/hot chocolate. Sometimes sports drinks. They have a small 'gourmet' section where you can find vinegars w/preserved fruit/veggies in them, sometimes cooking wine, and other specialty foods. This section varies alot based on what they can get.

They have a very good selection of other home goods, from kitchen gadgets & food storage to cleaning supplies & cleaners. Also auto care and home repair, not the highest quality of course but it makes a great quick fix until you can afford to get something better done. Good selection of office & school supplies, and also party supplies. They are very timely with seasonal decorations, which I love. For something you're only going to use for 2 or 3 weeks at most (and misplace before next year) it's a great deal!

A decent sized 'beauty section' with lots of hair ties & other girly essentials :)

My favorite section is the gardening. They have 8" terra cotta pots most of the year (do look them over carefully, they are 'factory seconds' so they aren't perfect), transplanting & peat pots (I suggest sterilizing in the oven before use), plastic water saucers and seeds! Occasionaly I've seen 4" self-watering pots. They usually have some live plants and for only a buck they are a good value ifyou know how to pick them :) There are also thermometers, plant food, empty sprayer bottles, small vases, gloves, pruners, green tie tape... ALOT of useful stuff for someone gardening on a budget. It is not all perfect, and some items of course are low quality and won't last... but if you review the items carefully you can find what you need and make it work.

The staff are pretty good. I've always gotten good assistance from anyone out stocking the shelves, and never had any trouble with the cashiers. It can take a bit for them to open another check stand when they start to get busy, but it's usually not that crowded and not a problem.

    My favorite 99 cent store.

Well I guess I don't have to start with saying how much things are here.  And I don't have to explain what a 99 cents store is.  So I'll just tell you my experiences there, what I've bought, and how good the location is.

I'm still amazed at all the types of things they have there.  I've bought gift bags, Halloween decorations, wrapping paper, food, cookies, small hardware items, Arnold Palmer Arizona teas, and of course all my party plates, forks, and spoon needs.  This is truly your one stop shop for all things that don't need to be $4 at Target or something.

The parking lot has plenty of space, the employees all seemed nice when I was there, and they look clean and much more organized then some of the other ones I've been in.  All in all, I can't complain about one thing, and it's right down the street.

This is the cleanest most organized 99 Cent Store I have been to. And there is a good amount of parking. They seem to have a great selection of items compared to some of the other 99 Cent Stores in the area.

Staff can be a little snippy, but I honestly didn't expect Whole Foods kind of help either.

I buy all of my holiday decorating items here, because the value is so excellent!  They have a great selection especially if you go early enough on in the season.  I still have my Christmas angels from 2 years ago and I love them.

They also have groceries including fresh produce, variable snack items, spices, etc.  For my birthday tea party I served a carbonated apple soda I bought from this 99 cent store and it was a hit!

There is plenty of parking, and the day-laborers who stand out here don't bother or gawk...they're just looking for work like everyone else in L.A.

My favorite chicken place in the South Bay is also located in this strip mall - Chicken Maison!
